  1. I read this as the person writing the response knows it's a pretty crap answer, but above their pay grade to do anything about it.
  2. I would assume the TPMS corresponds to a specific wheel location so you would need to keep track of which wheel goes where.
  3. Meanwhile many original 1920's WO Bentleys are still going strong, my grandfather worked at the factory.
  4. So was it inside the brake drum or trapped against the brake shield?
  5. I was choosing between Jaguar F-Pace (3.0 Diesel) or 4th Gen RX to replace my Chrysler 300C Estate. Jaguar has better performance, slightly larger boot and I prefer the looks. Lexus has better build, reliability and better spec. Reliability and the Relax warranty was ultimately the deciding factor.
  6. The Continental Flying Spur would be a more direct comparison. Practicality is another factor where Lexus wins I imagine the rear is pretty cramped in the Bentley, but Bentley Continental certainly wins on the looks.
  7. Given you clearly parked there and did not pay I think you have a very weak case to make. You may be able to argue to pay the lower amount as the letter was delayed. If you don't pay I would expect the company will escalate things and ultimately you may have bailiffs at your door demanding payment for a much higher sum (due to additional fees etc).
  8. You could try this website, as well as being able to fit you also need to be able to exit the vehicle. https://www.automobiledimension.com/parking-dimensions-simulator.php
  9. You'll be fine as long as you get out of pot-hole infested UK, European roads are much better than than the UK.
  10. Nothing wrong with running an older car, but it's not a solution that suits everyone, and not something that gets Lexus off the hook.
  11. And from the Lexus perspective they have lost another loyal customer who may well have purchased another 2/3/4 cars.
  12. I suspect it would have been a better outcome financially for the owner if the car had not been recovered and the owner could then claim the full market value. Lexus need to wake up and smell the coffee.
  13. The oil maintenance is just a count down from 10,000 miles so unless you have done that mileage either the service was not done or they did not reset the service reminder, did they stamp the service history? I would expect there to be stored error conditions that can be read with the right equipment. If it was a Lexus approved vehicle I would assume you can take it to another dealer to get sorted.
  14. Also LHD, Japan would be RHD. Great standard of workmanship, I doubt you would get that quality anywhere in the UK.
  15. It would be nice to think so, but I suspect the reality is they will only take note if it impacts the bottom line (which I suspect is what has prompted JLR to take action).
  16. I am sure Lexus are already well aware of the situation, they are just choosing to ignore it 😒 It has already been in the press with Lexus thefts up over 500% in the last two-years.
  17. I think electronic security such as Ghost is a better option, many of these steering locks offer little protection as the thief simply cuts through the steering wheel causing even more damage.
  18. There is no user adjustment settings, make sure the windscreen in front of the camera is clear.
  19. You could use your balance to buy an eGift card for your son to return the funds to him, assuming he will spend the money at some point.
  20. That's correct, but I do find it a useful feature, if you shop around the sensors are not hugely expensive.
  21. How does the 6-speed transmission compare with eCVT? Despite all the adverse reviews I have grown to like the eCVT on the 4th Gen, most other manufacturers with a conventional automatic offer 8/9 gears so 6 does seem a bit short changed.
  22. Very unusual to see a one owner car at such low mileage and if the MOT and service records match no reason to assume it's not genuine, but nonetheless it is now a relatively old car and age related issues such as rubber suspension components, CV boots etc may well be degrading. No idea on price, I do recall there may have been some previous posts about mixed experiences with this particular dealer.
  23. Only Michelin Cross Climates on a Chrysler 300C.
