  1. My renewal has just come through today at £520, don’t have the spare time to do loads of research done two market compares and got £630 back as cheapest from LV, so just staying as am.
  2. Phone call from salesperson telling me my car has gone into build and will be available mid June. If that happens it will have been four months and getting close to the three months I waited last time.
  3. I had a call from my dealer on Friday, we negotiated a deal by email and I placed an order yesterday morning, £5.5K saving on list price. My 2yr PCP still has 10 months to go but my really low mileage and current equity meant keeping payments similar but getting a new one; probably easier and maybe cheaper now than waiting till Dec. I am going Mica blue with Hazel this time, seen this combo on lots of YouTube videos and it looks really good. Been quoted August delivery keep you updated as I get notifications on my app, it already shows up as a new order in my virtual garage
  4. During my handover, the sales guy explained about the follow up questionnaire and asked if I could do my best to give the best feedback possible. His bonus is based on a 90% minimum but higher than 95% for his full amount. I had a great experience, handover etc so gave him top marks.
  5. Lloyds bank was surprisingly my cheapest, renewal in April £600 ish, 9Yrs no claims (company car before then) I too have business use, full comp, protected, courtesy car etc etc. Although I did restrict to 8k miles
  6. Very cheeky from MK, I have a 3yr plan from them, £1045 which I took out Dec 2021, so just had first service last month. I am paying interest free over the three years. does that mean the price of a service is around £550-600 now
  7. Just got in from service all ok, although they did tell me the air con is full of bacteria and can be cleaned by them for £175 using the £12 can of stuff they will sell me to do it myself. My sales guy came out for a chat and told me 3 months ago he was working out a new car deal for me, but it was pulled when the interest rates and deposit allowance changed, he said swapping right now when I only have 2500 miles on my car would be stupid. With the waiting time, the 9.9% rate with no contribution and the £6k more for a new car over what I paid a year ago, the numbers just didn’t add up. He also said that out of all the cars the ES is the one in huge demand second hand and really holding its value, he would give me what I paid 12 months ago. The 11yr old 33k mile Cayman in the second hand area would be a tempting straight swap though
  8. Mine is booked in for 1st service next Friday, by which time I might reach 2400 miles, hardly seems worth it, this is where the BMW is better with it’s flexible schedules. I am on the 3yr DD service plan so shouldn’t be costing me anything yet. Half expecting a salesman to be approaching me with a deal to swap into a new one, trouble is the prices have gone up so much in a year that I couldn’t afford one now. Right now I can sell mine privately for more than what I paid.

Many cars share body, floor plan and engines, my wife’s Xtrail has a Mercedes’ 1.3 petrol engine from an A class and shares the same floor plan as the Renault Kadjar even going back as far as the Alpha 164 being a Saab 9000 underneath, and of course the Saab 93 being a variant of several GM cars including the Vectra, and of course the jaguar x type was famously a Mondeo
  10. Defo free for me, the added top up was when it went back in for a piece of the window chrome trim to be replaced when I pointed out a scratch on delivery day. Plus of course my golfing umbrella in the boot
  11. I too got a full tank from MK last Xmas, a great dealer who also topped it up again the following week when it went back in for some snagging. Reminds me to book its 1st service
  12. Does the £507 include a tyre though?
  13. Mine was about a week once it arrived at the checking place. it went from Bristol docks to Derby Toyota site and then down to me.
  14. You might get a free umbrella like I did. Plus my showroom has a special side room with cool lighting to unveil your new car in private, so I got chance to get a good look over before taking outside.
  15. I find it quick 0-30 and can keep up with most things, it then drops off when chasing M or S cars in between MK roundabouts. I also find the 40-70 shove very addictive, many times I come up to and go round a roundabout steady and then it’s foot to the floor, I even quite like the noise I guess the fact the gearbox doesn’t need to kick down and find a gear helps
  16. Nope water fine here, plus if you drive a taxi you can clean it as it is needed for work. 😂
  17. Pro Kleen super snow (cherry) using a gun shaped mixer thing on the end of my hose one of those micro fibre mits quick rinse and once dry meguiars ultimate quick spray with a new (every time) micro fibre cloth, big yellow one from Costco
  18. Not sure on the green sunlight, seen one in the showroom and that looked good but I then saw it outside in the rain and wasn’t sure. I really liked the graphite in the showroom as well and nearly went with it, but decided it would never look that good when sat on my drive
  19. 8 months of ownership and she still shines like new, bonus pic of my wife’s tank thrown in
  20. Drove past JIB 66 again today, a blue Takumi around Aylesbury know it’s a Takumi as it has digital wing mirror’s

    BRAKE!

I have found twice that if going slow enough it doesn’t stop, luckily I am doing it on purpose to get close to my wife’s car but worth making note and checking yourself
  22. I have seen three since I got mine at Xmas. one other in MK, although may have been a demo and then twice around Aylesbury, all have been F sport one red like mine, one blue and one graphite one every other month is ok for me on exclusivity
  23. It would be even better if you were told the ship details as it leaves Japan so you can track its progress at sea. I did try and work it out but I was never 100% sure I was following the right ship from Japan to Bristol
  24. Are you using the app on your phone or the full online tracker on the Lexus website. I found they very often showed different info at different points of build, ship and arrival, etc
  25. Their is something on the my23 I would love at the moment. The updated telematics, being able to switch on the air con before entering the car and being able to lock the car from your phone, the number of times I get a message on my watch saying we have detected an open door.
