Just looking back at my posts from a few months ago. mine arrived in Bristol on the 4th May and I collected from MK on the 27th

All the pics look great. lm a Meguiars product man I start with a snow foam through the karcher mixer use a lambs mitt for cleaning Then attach my Aquahouse filter for rinse spray on the Meguiars ceramic Si02 product before drying with a new micro fibre, I use the big yellow Costco ones. then a final quick spray and wipe with another new one and the quick detailer spray the used cloths then get sent indoors for washing and then for household cleaning. I think we need to revisit the competition at this price range. To understand perceived value. what else available under the magic £40k is big, safe, efficient, reliable and highly specced. We have all the safety and semi autonomous toys as standard, heated seats, wheel which can be remotely started (on newer cars) sunroof which is small but included. A descent sounding basic stereo, wireless charging and connected infotainment, choice of colour inside and out at the same price and loads of other standard features that take the competition over £40k. Looking at Comcar ES premium is listed at £40k as we know, I am looking at £35-40k Alternate (similar type of car, not mpv etc) Audi A4 35 Sline, similar performance, much lower standard spec and terrible ride. Audi A3 45, nice and quick but much smaller and completely different car Merc CLA or A class saloon 180 AMG, nice smaller car, no C class at the price, let alone an E class BMW 320 Sport, class leader in driving but poor spec and poor resale value and poor image Golf GtI, completely different car type, but worth noting as a great option Genesis, interesting option, but unknown resale and dealer network, not many people have heard of them Skodas, Superb is a good high spec alternative, but hasn’t got the brand value, future resale value and would you rather have a Skoda or a Lexus if given the option and the same amount of cash or PCP? Jaguars, I had an XF previous and loved it, but they have stopped making all saloons, and build quality is poor Honda Civic, same price, high spec, great new hybrid engine, similar build quality, much smaller and even harder to sell the idea to other people when explaining why you chose it over other options Mazda 6, was actually quite a good car, with similar high spec and quality, I drove one for 2yrs, now cancelled Alfa Guilia, pretty, fast, great car, but now gotten too expensive Pug 508, nice looking, small engine only (1.2) same argument as Skoda So, yes, you can go faster or round corners better, some have better fuel economy, but I can’t see anything that offers better long term value.

It worked fine on my previous MY21 touchscreen, obviously I have now lost the ability, although I wonder if it will play MP4 files?

Lexus to unveil the all-new LBX
Tonyw replied to Lexus Owners Club's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
But look at the starting prices for other models that we can compare. ES starts at 54K, compared to 40K here. The base UX in Germany is list 42K so I would expect LBX here to be £30-40K be great if they can keep the top model under the luxury tax threshold -
Is it real leather in the premium pack? Or pretend like my premium, I’m wondering how mine will look in several months if not wiped properly every few weeks

This website is also really useful, it lists the taxable rate and other useful bits. I use it when researching older cars for family and friends, especially the MOT history https://cartaxcheck.co.uk

Ahh the magic 3 dots meaning click here for more options. I should have seen and known that as a software demonstrator thanks

I noticed the same on mine, very weird as the previous version did

Sounds very poorly, hope they can fix or reset it successfully for you,

I got the same letter for my old car that is still for sale at the Mk dealership
-
Might go back to this myself if I have a problem, I still have the mini cable in the car from my 21 model that didn’t have the wireless apple
-
I haven’t had this issue just yet, but I have noticed how hot my iPhone 14 is getting compared to my old 12 both in the car and on my desk wireless charger

Lexus to unveil the all-new LBX
Tonyw replied to Lexus Owners Club's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
I quite like it. I just picked up my second ES in 2yrs, mainly because the under £40k price can’t be matched when you start adding options to a UX to make it similar. if the top spec LBX has all the extras, and sits around the £35K mark, I think it will sell. I did notice in the several YouTube’s I have watched that none of them are showing sunroofs or wireless charge pads., I did notice the fully adjustable seat and lumber switch though. -
I too, have had a great service over two years and now two new cars from MK. In fact several years if you include my previous XF which came form their too good to auction trade ins
-
I took out the service plan again (got a pro-rata refund on previous one) It is £34 a month for 3 services and the first MOT, so just under £395 per service when you take off the £40 for an MOt
-
Similar spec would need to be 330e Sport, with all the extras to make it the same is £53K your actually looking at Audi A3 or A class saloon at £40K with similar spec

I believe Cambridge are Stephen Eagell like mine, they are really good at looking after you. That’s a great price you have secured, mine took just over 3 months from ordering to arriving in UK. cool colour choice, you have picked a rare colour on a rare car so your chances of meeting one the same will be very slim. keep us updated
-
So, my previous car is advertised on Autotrader for more than I paid (after discounts) for my new one, 😂 With the delivery times back to 3 months, you need to really want a car now to buy one for this much. I’m guessing being a touchscreen facelift model and the low mileage helps.

Thanks, my previous Mesa red was good in the sun, but this blue looks so cool when you zoom in on a photo. getting used to the interior, it makes it really bright inside, just need to be careful of the sides and roof as it is same colour and will mark easy.

Two keys, one on my key ring already
