  1. Daft thing is, there was a £15,000 GS parked in front of it, and they left that alone! They wouldn't have got far with the Rover anyway - it's TRIPLE-immobilised (alarm, immobiliser and a totally f***ed car battery that only puts out 9.5 volts!)
  2. I'll have to remember that next time I've got some knob up my arse (so to speak). Clunk - that's the VSC button - switch it off. Click - put the ECT button to "PWR" mode. Then blip the accelerator pedal and leave him for dead. Clunk - click, then you blip.
  3. Was upstairs earlier (on LOC, actually), heard a commotion downstairs. Went out to see four scallies taking off in a white transit (J970 ANW - eBay verified). Turns out the first noise I heard was my mastic gun (that was hanging on the back door handle) falling to the floor (because they tried my back door!), also got them on CCTV trying the door handle on the Rover 220 Tomcat parked in my drive. Cops are out looking for the van now, they've got printouts from my CCTV too! Back door handle's bagged up for fingerprinting. Rover's now in the garage, boxed in with a double-immobilised Carina II. B*****ds!
  4. OK, I don't know about the IS but have just tried and can confirm that the eight-LED bulb WILL FIT the Mk.2 GS front sidelights! So far, the eight-LED bulb has been tested and found to fit the following in the Mk.2 GS:- Front sidelights Rear interior lights Front and rear red door lights Boot light High-level brake light (don't bother, 6 or 8 LED clusters look crap here, I've just tried)
  5. Just make sure it doesn't get replaced at the next service!
  6. Wouldn't the eight-LED wide-angle ones be better, Mr. M? Brighter, with a better spread of light into the reflector? I leave my lights on Auto so there's not much point me fitting 'em! The eight-LEDs make good boot illumination lights though. Might uprate my six-LED red door-lights to eight-LED and put the sixes in my high-level (or is it eye-level?) brake light, will have to check if it takes wedges first though! I might try one of each this evening, then post pics to see which is best.
  7. There's always this little mod... Or if you've just been to the drive-thru, lob ice cubes out through your sunroof!
  8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6536082735&rd=1 Anxious (ANXUS)? Maybe. Lexus? Never. At least his own numberplate (J66PCK) doesn't look out of place on his Jeep Cherokee as long as he chooses his mounting holes carefully!

  10. If you just want a spare in case you lock the other one in the car, how about one of the flat, transponderless keys? Failing that, have you asked Sewells (www.lexus-parts.com) for a price? Don't forget to mention that you got their details from LOC!
  11. had exactly the same on the M62 a few weeks back. young lad, yellow shirt, designer glasses, trendy trimmed around the jaw designer beirdy thing. if I can read the label on your **** shirt - you are too close you wowwypop! ← Did you do the decent thing and leave him for dead?
  12. I was tempted to sign up just to taunt him!
  13. ...whereas a random orbit polisher can work wonders even in the hands of a beginner. Here's a Rover 220 Tomcat I polished last week (click to enlarge):-
  14. The 110 volts you require are just a Screwfix order away! 750VA transformer required is part number 73851 (or you can future-proof yourself like I did by buying the 3.3kVA unit 16158), plug is 19947, 14m extension cable is 16691. NOTE: when fitting plugs to USA mains cables, the colour coding is not what you'd expect - WHITE=Neutral, BLACK=Live.
