  1. That's interesting. I spoke to my dealer yesterday and he said the latest information he has from Lexus is that he expects June delivery but thinks it might July or possibly early August.. I ordered the car on 2nd May.
  2. The point I was making is that Lexus told a customer who asked about prices that pricing was not available yet. I replied to them 3 times that it was and each time they deleted my post. They have now changed the answer to the gentleman who raised the question and given him prices. The guy answering obviously didn't know what was going on.
  3. According to Lexus UK, prices haven't been announced yet. I commented to them but they deleted my post. Have a look here. Let's hope they don't delete there answer. https://mag.lexus.co.uk/electric-vehicle-safety-lexus-explains/comment-page-1/?unapproved=24480&moderation-hash=d7a18bbc035ecafebd8a656f19622046#comment-24480
  4. Hi Kevin I ordered Sonic Grey the same as my NX. I was told that it was better to provide the colour at the time of order to ensure it gets into the system quicker. Whether or not this makes a difference or not I don't know. To be honest, I might cancel depending on circumstances nearer the time when I've had a test drive. I still think 72k is too much but who knows by the time we get to next year.
  5. Hi Ken By some miracle I signed up to a 3 year deal with EDF last September at 21p/kwh. At the time, I didn't know whether I was doing the right thing as I was paying 14p with Octopus but that deal was coming to an end. So for once I made the right decision and will continue using the car mostly in EV for the next 2 years which is a lot cheaper than petrol. If only I had done the same with gas. You win some you lose some!
  6. When I placed my order in May, I was told delivery would be in the first quarter of 2023. When I spoke to my dealer last week, he told me production was delayed until November this year with first customer cars to be delivered by June 23. There is no way anyone will get one this year if productions only starts in November
  7. I suspect you are right but still a bit iffy to me. By the way what is the wheel issue? I must have missed that
  8. So Lexus Exeter are giving different stories to different customers. Interesting.
  9. Tongue was firmly in cheek with my comment on lost interest!
  10. £500. I was only kidding about the interest though which I know is virtually nothing.
  11. My dealer told me yesterday that production was due to start this November however due to supply issues has been put back to March 23. He said customer deliveries are due to start late summer so it looks like it will be September at the earliest. If so, they will have had my deposit for 16 months. Just think of the amount of interest I have lost and they have gained over the 16 months!! I assume the 72k for the Takumi will not increase for deliveries then. Perhaps that's why they have priced it so high.
  12. Indeed, my dealer said prices will not be announced until mid August and he still expects the Takumi do be just under 70K
  13. Connect using QR code never works for me unfortunately
  14. Where did these prices come from? I spoke to my dealer on Friday for an update on delivery and prices and he said prices are due to be announced early August.
  15. My dealer has said he expects the top of the range Takumi to cost just under 70K. I have pre ordered the Takumi and if it is good as I expect on the test drive I will confirm the order. Anything over 70k and the answer is a definite no. There are plenty of cars north of 70k with a much better range although I would prefer the Lexus because of the perceived quality/reliability.
  16. I live quite close to Portbury and the dealers but it was 3 weeks to get mine after it docked. It went to Derby to have the welding checked due to the recall and then it was sent from Derby to Bristol. Anyway, good luck and hope you drive to France in the NX
  17. If anyone is interested in my original post (given that the majority of comments are about other issues) I went to Tesco this morning and the car was there again but not plugged in. I asked around and discovered that the car belongs to an employee at Tesco Having spoken to the store manager today he agreed about the inconvenience and has instructed the employee not to park there when not charging. So hopefully problem solved.
  18. I hope we won't be disappointed, I've had one on pre order since May and I really want Lexus to be the EV for me going forward.
  19. There is a time restriction at most Tesco's of 3 hours free parking otherwise you get a lovely ticket in the post.
  20. "Out of spec reviews" on You Tube have done charging tests on the BZ4 and they were not impressed.
  21. All chargers were working according to the Podpoint app which you need to log on to to get free charging. If you don't have the app you are restricted to 15 minutes only. You don't need the loyalty card
  22. Since having my car in March, I have used Tesco's free Podpoint charger whilst shopping each week and manage to get about 6kw of free charge. Every little helps? Until this morning. I get there and all 4 bays are full but the one bay had a Nissan Leaf there which was not plugged in. We went shopping for about 40 minutes or so and it was still sitting there when we came out with no one in it and not plugged in. Why are people so selfish? I really hope this will not be a problem going forward as more people get EV's and I would really love to know why this person thought it was ok to leave his/her car there when not charging. Rant over but I was slightly peeved this morning and I would certainly not leave my car there if it wasn't plugged in.
