  1. I ordered one H&S for myself few weeks ago so every time I watch good exhaust on YouTube I’m trying to imagine mine… I told them to not make it very loud but as deep as possible with no popcorn or any other rattle. We will see soon.
  2. I don't want to sound like a smart ***** BUT knowing what this car went through I would not even pay £30k for it! Other GSFs with decent history are much more appealin currently.
  3. Hi, I have changed gearbox oil in my RCF at 60k miles (just drain and refill so about 25% was really changed). The same will be done in my is250 at 60k probably next month. I change oil in every auto I have had at 60k/90k/120k etc My “lesson” was taken 15 years ago when using Audi A4 b6 3.0 with multitronic 🥴 I would not bother too much about filter itself because it will be clogged only when gearbox is nearly dead so oil/filter change will not cure it anyway. That’s my point of view.
  4. Personally I would price my own RCF around £27k with 69k on it and TVD etc. There is no way for me to pay anything similar for any ISF, sorry. £31k? I would run to the bank for few extra £££ and get GSF all the way. Please bear in mind we just had a forum member with red ISF 2010 that went for something like £14800? I really like ISF but once they exceed £30k for 10+ years cars then why are you surprised that some dealer priced GSF for £60k? Between £31k ISF and that particular £60k GSF I would choose 2nd option… On the other hand nothing seems to have any logic today, so good luck 🙂
  5. Fantastic cars and from my point of view: 1. Birma's car stands out from the crowd more that expected when it is on his own. 2. Black LC500 wheels much better than "shiny" factory ones, good choice. 3. If I was after saloon this black GSF is so sweeeeet 🙂 All cars look great, I would really like to join you one day from rainy Swansea...
  6. It’s either that bad in economy or people don’t want good reliable cars any more. Lease, 22 plate, 6k miles per year etc, thats what counts nowadays…?
  7. I would defo go for pre 2018. No offence, but past 2018 version is like a man with one ball to me. Additionally I would not even consider any car past Covid (2020>) and will stick to my old ones as long as possible.
  8. Thank you, now I can see the point and will be doing it just before 100k. Thanks
  9. I have a very important question about 10 years / 100k miles service. Is there still any Lexus warranty after it? Or is it just waste of money doing that one as no more protection from Lexus and paying double comparing to independent garage for same job? Relax warranty is 10y/100k so it seems to be pointless but tell me if I’m wrong.
  10. Buying LC in hybrid to have few more miles per gallon 🤯 Thanks! Now I have the best joke for this weekend already:) It does not even deserve to comment it any further…
  11. I have been an owner of blue RCF for nearly a year now… So many times I thought about anything better for similar money, 4/5 doors GSF etc. Every time conclusion was the same: You wanted your toy so just enjoy it! I don’t give a Fxxx if my car is 4.3/0-62 or could be 4.0 or anything similar honestly. At 36 I enjoy relax warranty, 5.0 V8 every morning and afternoon and the feeling that it is not going to be suddenly wrong for no reason like all EX Germans (Adolf bless them). The amount of money I did spend on repairs in previous S6/RS6/mapped 3.0 Vito Brabus would nearly buy me another RCF for sure. So today after all that when I think “German” I only mean to check speed limit in my current car on their autobahns. Never again, thank you. Honestly unless you are a prick looking at newest “REGs” there is nothing better value/money and will not be for a very long time than any 5.0 Lexus F. Mark my words…
  12. I followed your advice and purchased today via phone with Lexus Cardiff 3 years service for my RCF. 7,8,9 year for £1457. No more discounts ( I begged him 🙂 ) However he asked either single payment of £1457 or split and pay £300.83 and 17x £68.01. As you can imagine I did choose to pay in instalments as there is no difference. Funny was when I asked him to quote me for few services and guy tried with 2 services first. Then I asked him to prepare a quote for THREE. His answer - We don't do free servicing! 😊 It is so hard sometimes for foreigners here...
  13. Sorry I am lazy but need to ask: Is ISF engine same about economy comparing to RCF? I mean 5.0 + eco mode too?
  14. So today I had only 10 miles left to go in my RCF after gentle driving. Nearly empty. I put as much petrol in as I possibly could (see pictures). I will not believe that we have more than 60 litres capacity in RCF until I see one screenshot with over 60 litres on the meter.
  15. Before you collect this car please try at least one good spec Toyota Vellfire 3.5 V6 . Very similar car to this Honda but spec usually much higher, engine 50% better with similar MPG on motorways. Let us know what you think.
  16. A quick calculation tells me then: 477HP * 0.034 ethanol = 16HP and that's if fuel is the same 95/97/98/99. But what if we take 97-99 octanes with no ethanol comparing to 95 with ethanol? I bet easy 20-30HP in total. Just to think about some people paying stupid money to upgrade 5-10HP by changing exhaust, remap etc Here 60 litres * 1.99(98) comparing to 60 litres * 1.91 (95)= £4.8 on each fuel tank (average). For me is a no-brainer. Standard 95 is so expensive that soon if we have 95 for £9.91 and 98 for £9.99 are you still going to save this few pence on fuel just because you can run on it?
  17. We’ll pop up hood fully activated so that’s £3850 if you want new parts and error erasing through the dealer. Additionally front bumper + grill + logo + both headlights and LEDs (you cannot see on pictures but all of them had some cracks etc) + few plastic and metal covers. Bonnet and hinges repaired. Simple repair just plug & play. Problem was to find expensive parts outside dealership.
  18. Ok so ATF changed. 2.5l drained. It looked quite dark but could see through it when on finger 🙂 Technician from Osaka Newport said they had seen much worse in the past. On my way to Swansea I noticed a difference. Transmission does not hesitate now as it did before from time to time. I mean there was nothing wrong with it but in normal mode sometimes I got it “thinking” which gear to select. I haven’t noticed that now. Just pulls and knows better which gear to offer. Same around town and little bit smoother. In my opinion it is well worth doing it. I do it in every car around 60k miles so here same story. Next one will be around 120k if I keep it that long. Few pictures below so you can see old oil and fresh blood 🩸 injection 😉
  19. I have an idea. How about installing a mesh under the vent? A mesh with similar density like you have in iphones ear speakers. this link is just an example: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271947660219?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qCxcw1hORrG&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Tjxq2FOyR2-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY obviously we need much larger sheet to cut it out to measure. I think that would work perfectly. enough for hot air to blow out and dense enough to stop water going through.
  20. MPG in normal cruise around city and on motorway is same. fuel tank I think same too as I always put 55-57 litres in each when nearly empty.
  21. Hi, this one I bought 3 months ago on Copart auction. 56000 miles on it, just after 6 years service in Lexus so all good to go. It is cat N, pop up hood was activated. I changed front bumper, headlights and grill for brand new ones + pop up hood equipment for a used one from Poland. car drives like new, very smooth and suspension is much softer than in RCF. That makes it a better car around town and potholes. Funny thing is despite being 208HP car it takes same or very similar amount of petrol as RCF… I would not believe if I hadn’t tried it on my own. All in al very good car and I hope it lasts as long as possible. The idea was to get bulletproof non turbo, non electric vehicle with some decent spec 🙂
  22. I have got 96Y at the front and 100y at the back both saying “extra load”. I only use premium fuels either v-power or esso one. Never happened to use 95 so far. Same history with is250 only premium fuel.
