Just a bit of an heads up on the service plans. Along with lots of other things they don't tell you is that your plan maybe dealer specific. I questioned this and they confirmed that the plan they offered me was 'dealer specific' so they have now forwarded a 'National service plan' quotation. Please read the small print as there are quite a few things not explained properly.

My quotes are per month 3 Years £32.65 4 Years £34.54 6 Years £35.73 After reading all the small print and the Lexus service schedule my decision is.... I haven't a clue whether to take it out or not!

It looks like I will go with a service plan, and as this will probably be my last car I'm thinking of going with a 6 year one as I believe there is a very big service recommended in year 5/6. I might try other Lexus dealers for service quotes to see if they come up with different prices.

Just back from the dealers and everything went smoothly but maybe not as well as I had hoped for financially. I asked for a re-price on my trade-in but only managed to get an extra £400, I pushed them to the limit but they wouldn't budge. On the plus side they agreed to leave all the protective film on and not touch the paintwork so it can go to my detailers for full Ceramic Coating in the best possible condition. One nice surprise was that my insurance premium is slightly cheaper than my Audi A3, so a small refund due. One thing that will need sorting is those number plates, they really cheapen the look of the car. I need to spend a while going through the service plan quote they offered to see how expensive it works out. I collect the car on the 29th. This is how I will be collecting it.

Just got the long awaited call from the dealer to say my ES arrived at the dealers this afternoon with a collection date of the 29th. Going in tomorrow morning to do the reg transfer and a re-price on the part exchange.

I'm in the same position. Mine is going for Ceramic coating as soon as I take delivery. My detailer say's he would rather have it with the film left on but he understands the dealer won't agree. He's told me to ask the dealer to do the bare minimum to the paint work or my invoice could go up to cover the extra work.

I tried to order illuminated door plates as it was mentioned in the price list, only to be told by my dealer that it wasn't available at the build stage but could be fit by the dealer after delivery at a cost of £405.00. that was the reason for my question. I think I might have been misinformed!

I see you went for the Premium Edition, can I ask if you added any extras on top of that?

Oooh! I was cringing reading that, thinking of all the scratchy swirls, but it does look good. I doubt I would have the bottle to do it though. You're a brave man!

Didn't know there was an app, where do I get that from and what info is needed to see the order status?

I ordered mine on the 4th September and its status is 'at sea' with a delivery of 5th January but the dealer (Bolton) said it just might be before Christmas but don't hold your breath.

Has anyone taken delivery of one yet?

I got a verbal update yesterday that my delivery has been brought forward by 2 weeks. The dealership said they have seen a slight improvement in the delays, if that makes any sense.

I have just spoken to 'Claire' on live chat asking the same question and the response was ' you need to keep your eye on the website to download one when available'

Put me out of my misery, what's with the top of the window glass???

I've just booked my new ES Premium edition in (when I get it) for full exterior ceramic coating including all glass and wheels (both sides) with the 5 year guarantee (what ever that actually means) for £950 =2.5% of the cost of the car. We shall see what we shall see.

My trade in is a 2018 Audi A3 saloon with 11,100 miles, the deal against the ES premium edition was for £18,500 which I was happy with when I placed the order on the 4th September. I have just checked with Motorway and a value of £22.223 is showing. I don't know anything about selling to motorway and being as there are asterisk's after the value I can't see it fetching anywhere near that.

I'm just hoping that the trade in allowance won't change. It was based on a fixed mileage not being exceeded but it looks like it will now. I will have to speak with them.

Just received an email informing me that the beginning of December delivery date for my ES has been put back to mid January. Anyone else had this happen recently?

I'm trading in an Audi A3 for my new ES and can't wait to get rid of it if I'm being honest.
