  1. I'm tempted to give the 64gb size a try for the sake of £12.22 if there are problems with it not working in the dashcam I assume it won't damage the camera??? The 64gb Thinkware version are £50 that's a lot of money. The Thinkware manual say's the camera can only write to 64gb.
  2. I'm looking for a genuine Thinkware 64gb micro SD card?
  3. If you lived where I live you would understand. Yes I can turn it off. The installer told me that there are two ways to wire it, either permanent live to use Park Mode as well as ignition live or ignition live only. He wired it permanent live and ignition live but said modern cars might show a depleted battery warning light after a few hours as the warning system on some cars are very sensitive to voltage drop. Mine seems ok up to now.
  4. It is a Thinkware F770, 1080p front and rear. I've just been and checked the heat coming of it after being in parking mode for 2 hours and it is very little (just noticeable with the back of my hand). The rear one doesn't seem to give off any heat at all to the touch yet there was a clear patch on the rear window this morning but only the size of a two pence piece. I think it is normal and no cause for concern. The condensation on the car after having it ceramic coated seems different, producing minute droplets of water, so maybe that's why I never noticed it on the Audi. The cameras are on brackets that stand off the screen by about 1mm so very close. The camera system has Intergrated Thermal Protection. I have sent the photo to the installer just to be sure.
  5. It wasn't frost just condensation but it wouldn't do me any harm to ask the installer.
  6. I was surprised to see this situation this morning, The heat given off the front camera when in parking mode cleared an area of the windscreen. I never noticed this when it was on my Audi for the past 2 years.
  7. On a side note, when I changed my insurance over to the ES from an Audi A3 the premium went down, I was surprised and it must have shown in my voice as the LV chap assured me it was because of all the safety features on the ES, so it must make a difference.
  8. Just received this confirmation from Lexus technical...... Hello Neil, thank you for your patience. Our Product Technical Team have confirmed that this system defaults to on with ignition on as it is a safety feature. Thanks.
  9. Ah! Well that explains that then. I find the lane centering works very well, nice and smooth. However I find it's the LTA that gives the most problems, especially where road works are being carried out and white lines have been painted all over the place. I tried to join a motorway today and the steering jerked about that much my daughter in the back let out a yelp. Pity we can't pull the fuse out of that feature.
  10. That's a good and accurate read. I had a dashcam fit by an independent company yesterday and that's exactly what they did, l watched them like a hawk. They give me the fuse cover back as well.
  11. Just tried doing that thanks but nothing works, I've now managed to ***** up the tyre pressure settings as well. It's going back to the dealer next week so I'm going to have them teach me (if it can be done)
  12. Thanks for that but still no joy. A quick press of the button brings up a message saying 'LTA is active' another quick press changes the message to 'LTA is active/ Lane centering is active' another quick press changes the message back to 'LTA is active and so on. A long press of the button turns the LTA icon off on the display without a message appearing and it does stop the LTA operating when driving, however the system defaults to on again when the car is switched back on. I have scoured the manual without finding anything. Again I hope to be proved wrong.
  13. I don't doubt what it says in the manual, however I have tried everything I can find to make it remember to keep it turned off without any success, it always defaults to on (for me at least). I can alter the way it notifies me with either a buzzer or a wheel vibration but it always turns the wheel. I really hope I'm wrong in someway.
  14. I beg to differ I'm afraid. I have been turning it off by long pressing the lane assist button all morning and when I return to the vehicle it is back on again.
  15. I agree with everything you say. I turned the sensitivity down on the features late last night but haven't been out to see if it makes any difference yet. It's early days yet so might finish up turning it all off. Am l correct in thinking that the lane assist turns itself back on by default?
  16. Just tried the new toy out on the motorway with all the above. The car can drive itself! That might seem normal to most people on here but to someone my age it's nothing short of magic. What a car!!!
  17. I got this and an extra set of number plates.
  18. It is available for the first three years but is not covered in the lexus relax warranties. I will ask the question next time I'm at the dealers.
  19. I find it a bit of a concern and I will get one if someone can come up with a solution, meanwhile just let the roadside assistance sort it out. I'm getting a bit old for changing wheels on the hard shoulder.
  20. Hope everything goes well with the pick up. My dealer agreed to do nothing to mine even leaving all the delivery details on the windscreen. Stick some pictures up when you get chance.
  21. Just picked the car up from the ceramic coaters, pity it was going dark when I took the photo's. He did a good job, unfortunately silver is not the shiniest of colours.
  22. Has anyone used the SOS system yet? If so was it successful? I believe the connected services are complementary for a certain period after which it is available on subscription, does anyone know the cost of this?
  23. First impressions after first few days with the new ES Premium edition Positive..... Lovely smooth drive Responsive steering Great climate control Comfy seating Good road soundproofing Negatives..... Poor turning circle Door frame rain drips when opening doors Noisy brake servos Limited seat height adjustment
  24. At least you seem to know what you have and haven't got. I've been reading the manual for a couple of days now and the phrase 'if fitted' is used that often I haven't got a clue what I've got.
  25. When I collected mine 2 days ago the dealer quoted cars ordered at the moment are scheduled for July/August. I waited just under 4 months, so things certainly aren't improving, 6/7 months is a long time to wait for a car.
