  1. It's even worse on the window, folding mirror and door lock controls on the driver's door, only last night l had to use my phone's light to sort out a 'window open' message. Another one of the niggles that you wouldn't expect on such a car.
  2. I have had mine for 12 months from new. It's a great car but not perfect (nothing is). It is lovely to drive, very smooth, glides over rough roads and is very comfortable. It is responsive and easily powerful enough for my needs, however l find it has quite a poor turning circle and one or two other niggles. Mine has been back to the dealer quite a few times for various rattles to be sorted. I had an RX 300 for 10 years and l find the ES is not a patch on the old RX.
  3. As an addition, l was also told that the trade in offer was not guaranteed until handover. The dealer is also obliged (if requested) to disclose the commission they receive from the finance company. I requested the amount and was surprised at how little it was. As others have said you can pay off the finance after the first payment has been made with a small interest forfeit, however if it is paid off very early the dealer loses their commission.
  4. I was told by my dealer that once I signed the purchase order l would receive the car at the stated price but the finance was only a quotation and didn't become a contract until it was signed on collection of the car. It's unfortunate that the finance has changed but it is in the terms.
  5. Not something I would like to try to be honest.
  6. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/703931088/delrin-leather-stamp-lexus-car-logo?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=lexus+embossing+stamp&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&edd=1&organic_search_click=1 Don't know if this is any help?
  7. I've seen Lexus logo leather embossing stamps are available but don't know anything about the process.
  8. Just curious as to whether you guys who are collecting your cars around now are getting 22 or 23 models?
  9. Can l ask what car you drive? If not a Lexus what make?
  10. Very little in the tank from Bolton but free number plates and a bottle of wine.
  11. I bought SH20's (opening poster) spare wheel and tool tray from him as he sold his ES shortly after posting this thread. I don't know if this will be any help but at the time I saved a few links, this being one of them https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/312927857246?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338723872&toolid=20006&customid=yZWfLyoTAAAAGQpusaHwRt1Xjj0LAAAAAA I never delved further into this option as like I say I bought SH20's set up.
  12. It is only a wiper de-icer not a windscreen de-icer but it should stop you shredding the wiper rubbers providing you give it enough time to do it's job before switching the wipers on, something to bear in mind if you have the wipers on auto.
  13. That would explain the gaps in the top element and the 'L' shaped elements in the top corners. Unfortunately that's the area that the rear dash-cam camera looks through.
  14. Interesting! I always thought the fin on the roof was the aerial.
  15. Further to my post above, could it possibly have anything to do with being in eco mode? Long shot l know but just maybe.
  16. I used the rear window demister this morning and noticed the top 100mm wasn't clearing. On closer inspection I notice that the top section panel seems to be separate from the lower one and has lots of gaps in the element (if that makes sense). I have looked in the manual to see if I've got everything switched on correctly and can't find any reference to any settings. Can any of you guys offer any advise?
  17. 2005 Lexus RX300
  18. Sounds like you are more than happy with your 1st year. Mine will be 12 months old at Christmas but unfortunately l don't quite get the same level of enjoyment as you, even though as strange as it sounds, it's still the second best car l've ever owned.
  19. That's ok. Yes you could have a point there, it's as if the UX had double glazing as apposed to single glazing in the ES is the only way I can explain it.
  20. I also said when l was stopped in traffic. How can noise come from the tyres when the car is stationary, l give up!
  21. Guys l did say ambient noise in my post, not road noise transmitted through the tyres.
  22. No, UX petrol hybrid.
  23. My ES has been in the dealers for the last couple of days for a rattle problem. They gave me a UX as a courtesy car and although l still prefer the ES's drive, the ambient noise insulation in the UX was far superior to the ES. Driving the ES home it was as if I had a window slightly open, l could hear people's conversations on the pavement when stopped in traffic etc, l wish they hadn't give me the UX now. Very different.
  24. I have Lexus Link on my smart phone but I would like it on my PC as well. Is this possible and where from? Thanks.
  25. Since new (Christmas) l have had a rattle in the sunroof area of my 2022 ES Premium edition. It has been back to the dealer a couple of times for investigation and repair. Despite being very good with me they have failed to rectify the problem. The car was going back in again for a roof strip down this coming Friday to try and get to the bottom of it. I've just had a phone call from the dealer saying all dealers have just received a 'known fault bulletin' from Lexus saying they are aware of this fault on some vehicles. This is great news as far as l'm concerned as l was worried that this rattle might never get fixed. The appointment has been put back to October 10th to give the dealer time to get more info from Lexus as to how to proceed. I think the dealer is as glad as l am to hear of the bulletin.
