  1. This info is correct as l messaged Denso and they confirmed the ones l bought were the correct ones for the ES. I've been out in heavy rain today and they were great and a lot quieter than the so called Lexus replacements.
  2. Peniole, note the left one is 18" not 14" l did expect the small one to have 'L' I must admit.
  3. Update. After much searching I managed to find the wipers that were on the car from new. They are Denso Hybrid wipers and are an exact match to the originals, far superior to what is being supplied as a Lexus replacement. I bought them from Euro Carparts and for anyone who is interested the 26" is part number 485778266 £15.49 and the 18" is part number 485778186 £11.49. They wipe great and are quiet.
  4. Thread resurrection. Just wondering how the members who fit the mudflaps found them long term? Any aerodynamic, noise or other negatives? I still have mine but was reluctant to fit them at the time in case it led to problems.
  5. That's exactly the problem and that sounds like a solution. The problem might be working out which way to twist it without making it worse.
  6. I'm thinking of putting the original wiper blades back on but changing the rubbers in them, but now comes the question of which rubbers to use, assuming there are good and bad ones?
  7. I had to replace the wiper blades on my ES after only 2,000 miles as they were missing areas and generally streaking despite cleaning the rubber and the screen. I replaced them with genuine Lexus blades bought from 'Lexus parts Direct' who advertise on this group, however they are very noisy, especially when they change direction making a distinctive 'slapping sound' and although it's difficult to see it appears and sounds (screeching) like one of the blades is pushing the rain off rather than the rubber flipping over at the end of the stroke and wiping the rain off. Does anyone else notice this noise?
  8. New car, 48 miles, not sure about that!
  9. Is that the process where they put the Aircon on full and fill the car with an aerosol spray for 10 minutes?
  10. Well! I'll go to the foot of our stairs! Every two weeks for the last 12 months I've cleaned that dash panel and never seen those buttons. Lit up like a jumbo jet now, thanks very much. What a Wally l am.
  11. Can l ask what model year 300h Premium edition this is as mine doesn't have these buttons?
  12. Mine started no problem after 7 weeks.
  13. Great review of the ES, however I'm surprised you didn't mention the turning circle, maybe it's not much of a difference to your GS.
  14. The ES range has laminated glass which is in effect single glazing, no ES has air gap glazing.
  15. Well done, a lot of people would have given up the fight, me included. Enjoy your new toy.
  16. I will dig it out and email it to you. I think it only right to block out any personal details from the invoice, sure you understand.
  17. If it's any help l bought SH20s spare wheel and his tool tray off him when he sold his ES. He gave me the invoice for the tray that has all the order details, l could dig it out if you think it will help?
  18. I think 'rob' is a little bit strong! But yes, squeeze every penny out of customers is normal practice, l used to do it when l had a business.
  19. All passed, including wheel alignment, but the arrows seem to be drifting off the centre marks. Don't really understand just what that means though!
  20. First years service tomorrow, 3,100mls hardly run in yet. Let's see what they come up with?
  21. We are talking about ruthless finance companies here. I sincerely hope that the OP gets the deal that suits him, however if it is in the terms and conditions its 'buyer beware'. There is always the 'unfair contracts act' but l doubt this would stand a chance as the contract has yet to be signed. With a bit of luck the OP will drive away the car he has waited so long for.
  22. Good question! The RX300 is an old car now, wasn't hybrid and only averaged around 26mpg. The ES is a nice car but it has faults (like everything in life). If I could afford it I would move up to an LS but unfortunately on a pension that is out of the question.
  23. The last time it went in for the rattle I insisted that it be rectified once and for all as this was the fourth time it's been back, I told them that they could keep it as long as necessary to do a thorough job and not just a botch up. They had it for a few days to remove the roof lining take out the sunroof from its frame and install foam deadening strips. The conclusion was that the frame is made of steel but the sun roof cassette is aluminium and they were expanding and contracting at different rates, how true this is I have no idea. When I got it back it was still rattling for next couple of days but then it stopped, coincidently just as the weather got colder, whether it will start again when the weather warms up is anyone's guess. This is a recording of the rattle... Lexus noise.mp3 I definitely got the car that was built on a Friday afternoon. I hope you get yours sorted quicker than me, good luck.
  24. It's even worse on the window, folding mirror and door lock controls on the driver's door, only last night l had to use my phone's light to sort out a 'window open' message. Another one of the niggles that you wouldn't expect on such a car.
