Yes had a response the same as Rob received, so I replied with this.……….. {Morning Thanks for the response but I (and we the owners) was hoping that Lexus would not just state the bleeding obvious but be attempting to remedy this issue for good. Things that I have read would be re-routing the attack point into the engine bay if possible ? Some kind of IT update to the cars systems ? From your response it would seem that Lexus are not that interested about one of their top brands becoming the most stolen car in the UK and just what this rating will have on sales.

I have sent Lexus a message asking “what they” are doing (?) to address this issue as they should be doing with some urgency IMO

Or Twitter as that seems to get results from the Big Sir’s when things could gain momentum very fast & they need to calm the waters.

Not to mention a real annoyance to those affected, well we all will of course as our insurance costs will rise accordingly regardless of having extra security fitted. Edit …… Good choice Sir and yes it will be here on the day agreed, now would you also like our high security package fitted as well ? ? why so ? Sorry to say this Lexus tops the league of most stolen cars in the UK but with our Noise of door slamming !

Well they bloody well should or at the least getting their tech people to address it with some urgency as “if” I were in the market for a new car It would not be a thief’s target.

If I should ever buy new and it did not come with auto mirrors / h-steering wheel & head up I would tell them in the showroom I am off to Kia (and would do)

Anti bacterial treatment does “not” involve any regassing. Read this link and buy one that suits you to “easily” do it yourself. https://yourcar.co.uk/best-air-con-cleaner/

List them as car parts as that is what they are.

You missed the line that I wrote under the one you quoted.

From the link that Las Palmas posted. { When EU leaders meet in Brussels these days, security of supply is at the top of the agenda. It is because the war in Ukraine has shown how risky it is to depend on oil and gas from Russia. According to the EU Commission, the answer is a new green industrial plan that will promote the green transition and ensure that sustainable companies can grow quickly} There was no risk to supply of cheap Gas & Oil until these EU idiot leaders decided to take orders from the US. New green industrial plan. 😂 {The dependence on China arouses great concern among European decision-makers, because it is feared that in the event of a conflict China will be able to use its market position as a strategic weapon} What conflict ? Oh! the one that the US wishes to invoke yet again ?

So to cut a “very” long story short you agree with what I said.

It is now starting to be known by those who have been wishing to get a green number plate that it can be (and often is) a real pain on a long trip to get from A to B without a good bit of planning and increasing cost. Even worse should you not be able to charge at home as to give yourself a head start so will need to factor that in the day before. Ah! They say the average journey is only around 20-30mls a day so a full charge will last a week for most and for the most part that will most probably be true and would work as long as you can charge at home. Tesla have their charging network that works / is widespread / has lots of stalls / is a plug and play system , but the charging network for all the others is dire from what I see and read and will only get a lot worse as more cars are bought. Only trouble is that a Tesla is not cheap and not a very desirable piece of kit to my eye & limited experience, plus they are uncomfortable regardless of what Sandy Munro claims.. Pushback is coming on this net 0 twaddle IMO..

We bought this item ……………. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/tillreda-portable-induction-hob-2-zones-white-90497166/ The place we moved into has an old electric hob type thing that is useless that I would pull out and throw into the nearest skip if I could. This hob is quick and you can move it to any place you wish, plus it from Ikea and they sell good kit (IMO) Same applied to the oven as one look and we went out and bought a Tower Air Fryer, what a neat thing this is as well. Again you can put it where you want, at the height you want and real easy to clean / use. The only downside is that any old pots & pans will not work on an induction hob as they need to be made for induction use.

Well that makes sense (why) but as Vlad has just said they need to mess with the camera somehow to stop it running, but the camera view could easily be altered by doing that without your knowing. Why not have a blanking plate that they can quickly & easily fix to the screen to stop any recording. When I clean the inside of the screen I remove the camera (its a mag mount type) to make access easier but can on occasion move its viewing focus so always fire up the app after to check it is looking where I prefer. While I am waffling the “find my car” function on the Lexus app knows where it is, I take it then it must have a sim of some kind to communicate with the app to let it know ?

On my last service (main dealer) I checked my dash cam footage when done (to be nosy) and for that time there was no footage so assumed that they had unplugged it for some reason. Had some tires fitted yesterday at Costco and again no footage for the time it was in their control so again assume the plug was pulled ? This is a hardwired Nextbase522GW so will only be recording once ignition is on but I guess it would also wake up with being jacked up ETC, so assuming not it would record being driven into & out of the workshop. Thoughts ?

Insurance testimonials?
VFR replied to Mr_Groundhog's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
With LV here as they were the cheapest of the quality outfits (IMO) as I have a number other covers with them so that attracts a discount, oh! And they answer the phone quickly should you need to call. -
I wonder just what is the difference between a hybrid wiper blade and a conventional one ?

Simply select “not as described” and then do not enter into any messaging / contact with the seller. EBAY will then sort the issue.

Illuminated door sills 1.gen
VFR replied to Bavarian's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Cannot see how you could see the sills when the doors are closed ? -
Yes my thoughts as well. Optimate https://www.optimate.co.uk/ is the brand of choice for most bike owners to leave connected for months at a time.
-
Of course & goes without saying, so visually checking tyre wear will likely show up any issues.

I guess by visually checking tyre wear ?
