Lexus Servicing - Hybrid Health check no longer included
VFR replied to Maxz's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Yes an outrageous amount, just like dentists, VET’s or any trades in the UK at this time, yet if you try to charge “them” around £100+ph they would have a fit. Can we buy this level of relax warranty on the open market I Wonder (?) We know how much the battery check costs £50 ish from other posters so there could be a tidy saving by skipping the “free” (lol) tea & coffee in the polished dealership. -
Just this ……….. Mind you service is what you would expect (given the cost) so no issue there.

Lexus IS300h 2013 wind visors / deflectors

This site may help ? https://www.counsellingconnection.com/index.php/2019/11/14/the-psychology-of-bragging/

As I said in my first post……. I just knew some pretentious prat would be along to say you should hand in your licence etc etc, as the point of the thread went whoooosh ! Over their heads.

I am guessing that the highest crime areas have been prioritised for the supplying company to get these to the dealers ? Graham said ……….. Yes, it was FOC and they washed and vacuumed the car as well. It was done at very short notice so I didn't ask for a courtesy car. So the precedent has been set IMO

That sent a clear message to Lexus UK (odds on the dealer feed your disgust back) to deal with this issue ASAP before it becomes ingrained into popular belief that owning a Lexus is not a good idea.

Most people spend more time and energy going around problems
VFR replied to Phil xxkr's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
I never implied that the seller was trying to do anything except ignore me. It was a low mileage Lexus approved used car checked over by their experts, imagine my surprise when the Autoglass lad told me about it. So you think that I am trying to scam a dealer for a bloody wiper arm (?) that may be your behaviour but not mine so keep your insinuations to yourself. -

Except when you talk to Listers of Coventry Lexus main agent like here So yes like you I am old school but dealers are dealers at the end of the day. New (used) item should be here by Friday so will see how that pans out. -

Do you mean like this ? In that case OE kit is the only option for these (IMO) and can be bought from the Lexus online EBay store where I bought these. BTW other cheaper offerings are available. -
If the likes of Waze (and others) will start to have a Pothole & Sunken drains-warning to save us drivers from spending a good deal of our time looking for these bloody things instead of looking where we are going. Yes I do also look where I am going (it is the internet so odds on someone will “well you should”)
-
Yes I am sure that I have read the same before on here.

To have your Lexus serviced that is. Crossed my mind the other day as I passed a local Toyota dealer that a service by them should carry equal weight on the service book & warranty as they the same company. Talking about just regular servicing mind that needs no special tools or tech I would have thought.

rx400h 2008 windscreen washer stopped working
VFR replied to david-now's topic in Lexus General Discussions
Guess that the nozzle is blocked, remove as Steve said above and leave to soak in some vinegar for a little while. -
Mobile Phone Holder
VFR replied to Kopper's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
This holder can be positioned anywhere along this section to suit, they have another one that fits down on the left near the gear lever & another that sits above the pop out cup holder. I just slide my phone in and it starts charging, it is adjustable in width to accommodate a phone cover (gel sleeve on mine) and can be tilted here and there to suit -

Brodit fit perfectly (just fitted mine) and the part numbers are below that fit your car a Mk3 like mine (?) Once fitted over to the left of the hazard button I can see the car info screen and it does not get in the way of any other buttons The price of these is outrageous IMO but they fit and work as described and are very well made. Just removed the part numbers as you need to select for your phone, with a case or not, what type of charging (if any) needed. If I can remember I will post a pic tomorrow of it in situ. -
Can I take it then that the mk3 2008 to 2015 is safe from this kind of attack ?

Not long after posting the above I received an email from customer relations apologising with a £25 voucher attached, but saying all they could do was reach out to the dealer. Have taken the arm off to check the makers markings on the rear and speaking to another dealers spares man they did not recognise any of the markings / numbers which is the same as my searching online has shown (not OE) Sent the pictures of the markings to customer services so they can check for themselves just if this arm is OE or not ?

Well had no further response from Lexus customer enq’s so even though my vehicle was a Lexus Approved one it would seem that they are really not interested once sold.
-
Update. Had no further response from Listers Coventry (where I bought the car) so thought I would contact Lexus UK, about a hour later a missed call from the dealer on the phone so called them back in the morning. I see that you have had the vehicle “over” 2 years now = so why now after all this time ? Had I not had a new windscreen I would have been none the wiser I guess but now I do know ? Can you pop into the dealership & we will look at it. Sorry cannot as I now live in Devon but you do have the pictures I sent (to look at I am thinking ?) Ah in that case we cann ………….. Ok look if you are going to question this after I paid you over 25k I will simply buy the correct item myself, bye ! Let Lexus UK know what had gone on & will simply get the correct arm, but this just confirms by distrust of dealer service dept’s (Lexus or otherwise) Sales ……… no problem Sir just sign here You want ?, no problem Sir. Does he (the service manager) really think that a pensioner who paid cash for the vehicle & is not a mechanic and had the car service since at Lexus main dealers would lie about a faulty wiper arm & not just accept that for some reason it has the wrong one fitted “at point of sale” Tis a funny old world we live in now.
-
In that case I will make a point of telling them at renewal time.
-
No LV tell me (& on the policy) that it does “not” affect my no claims as if it had I would have mulled over paying direct, as it was LV have a £190 excess anyway even on my fully comp protected jobbie.
