Yet another MOT fail! Can someone help identify this part?
VFR replied to MrTrendizzle's topic in Brakes & Suspension
Have you check your local council MOT center (if they have one) Stafford do and a very good service they give as well, they can only pass or fail as they do not supply or fit anything so have nothing to gain by sucking their teeth etc. -
Oh dear Linas you are clearly poisoned by what happened in the USSR decades ago and as such will simply ignore anything that does not fit in with your view (not uncommon) Malc1 I take it you know that well over a year ago little nazi zelenski was going to agree with the ceasefire that had been worked out in Turkey until Uncle Sam sent the village idiot Johnson over to Kiev to let him know that this would not be acceptable so carry on the conflict until we tell you otherwise. Guys you really need to read up about this conflict.

So they have not killed half of your countrymen as you are not Ukraine. No your other post clearly was an Russia hate effort. For sure anyone who targets civilians should answer for those actions. The MSM (which is clear that most on here read) only tells us what the Russians do & will never headline what the Ukraines do wrong. Just like that missile we all saw the other day hitting that street & were instantly told it was from the Russian side, a little research and you will find out it came from the Ukraine side (yet again) We can start wars & regime change as much as we like (the West that is) but we are the good guys so thats allowed. Just like the US engineered regime change in Ukraine and then allowed the man from central casting to become president and oversee his troops spend the next years shelling and killing other Ukraine civilians in the Dombass (16.000 it is estimated) but we will not mention that of course. Bombed back to the Stone Age in Iraq / Libya / Etc Etc yet when Putin says AFTER repeated warnings to stop killing Russian speaking Ukrainians and implement the Minsk agreement we (well you) are surprised that they intervened. Tip stop reading the daily Beano & Dandy behind the bike shed and look elsewhere for the facts as to what is really going on.

I see that Russiaphobia is strong in you.

Do you not mean the US as Putin was happy to supply cheap gas but Uncle Sam did not like that one bit (and said so) so they bullied the EU puppets to back their sanctions as impose more of their own. Just to be sure the blew up the pipe lines (and again said so) so there could be no change of mind.

History tells us that totalitarian states would often use children to denounce / accuse the adults who were in their sights and the sheep would all then join in to raise the volume. This is what crossed my mind when the press wheeled that village idiot out (which is what happened) and all those at the UN then bowed & scrapped at the feet of saint Greta. To my knowledge there was only one leader (at the time) who ignored her there and her scowling face told the tale IMO

Same with my RX as it never moves between services. -
Well you did ask ………. Truly appalling IMO even more so that you need to ask (such is life) Oh! And how to devalue your vehicle in an instant.

Had a full service today at this dealership (new to me) and will certainly go back again. Nice & spacious inside that seemed to be bigger than a number of other dealer I have visited, spotlessly clean of course and nice range of new vehicles to look around at (RX450h+ looked real nice) and staffed by very pleasant people esp Laura at the service desk. Asked if they give a discount for club member sponsors and that they did @15% so a tidy saving on the full service that mine was due simply as a result of its age, only one advisory (with a wee video so I can see myself) of a nearside rear trailing arm bush that has seen better days (wonder how hard that is for DIY) BTW for those who can recall the issue of my offside front wiper arm that caused my an issue (?) The tech man doing the service sorted it by bending it back where it was supposed to be & resetting the wiper(s) sweep. So a thumbs up from me and hope it helps others.

Or EBay for a good deal cheaper I guess ?
-
Ermm (?) you may find that accidents are not covered, just breakdowns. Sure I read this some time back so best check.

What is the logic of having the nearside camera screen over on the nearside ? I would want it just mounted to the left of the dash binnacle area myself so you just need to move your eyes instead of your head.

Acceptable for a £32K Approved Used Purchase? I think not.

Car Insurance - 'We don't insure this type of car'.
VFR replied to PGL's topic in Lexus CT 200h Club
Just had my renewal from LV and that had increased by £300. Called them and with a bit of tinkering knocked just over £100 off that but it is becoming clear that things are changing from what we are all used to where no claims & solid background / payers would simply expect the premiums to drop year by year (as they used to) This thread on PH goes some way to explaining why ………….. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=10&t=1888922 What “may” be coming ? Yes I need to insure my car. Do you intend to drive it Sir ? Well it had crossed my mind. Oh now that will really increase your premium “and” should an accident occur you will be liable for a £10.000 excess even with our fully comprehensive gold plated 5 star platinum award winning policy (terms & conditions apply) -
As far as I know LPG is seen as a green gas & that being the case why are we simply not transitioning across to using this more ? Takes away the charging issue and range concerns, been used for decades in vehicles & as it comes from N-Gas is cheaper than other so called green fuels.

Choppy ride on RX450h
VFR replied to Jagman's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Evening Like you I have a low mileage 2015 but non air and the ride on smooth tarmac is superb. Choppy & bouncy as you say would indicate worn out suspension parts, as you have just bought it I would be complaining to the dealer (?)
