  1. +1 for Snows from me as well, only used the once for my last service but was impressed.
  2. Same here on my Series 3 (2015) reported to Lexus Coventry as I had just bought it. I said it was “hunting” that was as clear as day (old term meaning missing) but happened once or twice a good year or so back and has never shown its face since.
  3. Will you tyre man not vulcanise the repair as this is way better than a plug,
  4. Yes mine was the same (?) £190 a year.
  5. Thanks for that info Phil and I will ask my local dealer who last serviced my car and pointed out that the trailing arm bushing had seen better days to make a warranty claim for me.
  6. Hi Phil. Can you tell me a little more please about the rear trailing arms issue you had and just what was wrong.. Was it the bushings that needed changing as if they changed them under warranty that is good to know.
  7. Yes my thoughts as well, spray down the sides then tap-tap and hope it pops out
  8. I wish his garage was in Devon.
  9. Odds on (as has been said) that the slider pins are not working as intended. An easy fix if you have the tools etc but as you paid a “dealer” get them to sort it. A caliper in most cars has a piston only on one side, so that is doing the work to squeeze the pads onto the disc, it does though rely on the the sliders to exert the same squeeze onto the other side. Bit of friction, not sliding as they should, contamination, no correct grease etc etc & etc you have what the pictures tell us.
  10. I would not be happy with a reading that is over the full mark. Petrol & condensation building up ? , both of the things that engine oil does not like and can lead to engine failure. IMO
  11. I do not think so as I am amazed at how many uninformed posters are on this thread. This will upset their apple cart (LOL) but will never be shown on the MSM
  12. Proxy mates ? Now who has been doing that for the past 3 decades ? When has Russia ever said (under Putin) they want to invade any country in Europe ? Putin gave clear warnings that he would not tolerate NATO in the Ukraine (ignored by the US) and also told those Nazi’s who were put into power by Nullan & Co in 2014 to stop killing those civilians (ethnic Russians) in the Donbas (again ignored) Read the same for China with those nuts in DC prod prodding each and every year simply to provoke a conflict. Etc Etc Etc BTW the US could stop the genocide tomorrow by telling Isreal not one dollar more until you do, but no they fund them with money and weapons (like the UK also) Stop that and the Read Sea conflict will go away
  13. Book it into Costco then & get shot of those things. (IMO)
  14. IMO As has been said simply reject the car as not as described. Loose this, vibrating this, dents here & there and what lurks under the skin that you cannot see as yet. Once you accept a repair your rights are reduced so reject !
  15. https://www.aeg.co.uk/promotions/winter-event/?page=1&d2cSellable=true&category=vacuum-cleaners-%26-home-comfort%2Fvacuum-cleaners%2Fstick-vacuum-cleaners I remember when Dyson first came out and we all thought how good they were (until I bought one) as for the first time you could see inside just what had been sucked up unlike those before that had it all hidden in a bag. Clever marketing idea but the piece of plastic tat soon fell apart and I ended up with a Miele who made quality kit or AEG who also make some nice designed & functional stuff. Dyson are still the masters at marketing though & now just charge some laughable prices for what to me is still plastic tat , just my opinion mind and not what most think.
  16. I just find the RX a relaxing car to drive and do just that, on occasion if there is a big hill I make it work for a living within reason as this will help the engine IMO Did used to look at the MPG now and then when I first bought it but never do now.
  17. Proper spare wheel as well.
  18. A destroyed front N/S tyre 😡
  19. Thanks for you quick reply as this is exactly what I was trying to say & it is all good then. Will spend the next day or so studying what to buy (pair) and the Hankook K127A Ventus S1 EVO 3 has caught my eye.
  20. Unfortunately I needed to pull this out from its cosy nest in the boot today (as a result of a moments stupid inattention) offered it up and had a double take on the wheel nut fit as it not the same as the wheel. IE the integral washer that is part of the wheel nut when fitted to the alloy is quite some distance away from the steel rim of the s/saver so plays no part in this case. Yes the bevel on the end of the nut seems to seat onto the location area of the steel rim but looked odd but did tighten, checked tightness again after a few miles and all good so got me home. Everything is OE and was clearly just how it had come out of the dealer when new inc plastic bag for the dirty road wheel. Never used a space saver before so does this sound correct (assuming I have made sense) to anyone used to these things.
  21. I wonder what lodge he frequents as its odds on the magistrate has a funny handshake.
  22. Stoke on Trent ? Visited that dealer once and was treated like a leper at the service desk (wrote about it on here) and would never go there again.
  23. Ah OK I (and others ?) will bear your instructions in mind and not mention ways to save a lot of time and money again.
  24. Must admit I have never used the map system on my car, as the phone will be in its holder on a journey I simply let Apple map show me the way. Why pay all that to Lexus when most of us have it in our phones ?
  25. Funny how tastes differ, now for me I would instantly pass by that pastel blue (to think someone ordered that new) 2 door money pit..
