To me it was clear that Sir Keir Shyster and his gang of halfwits in his cabinet would simply be out to (1) feather their own nests, and (2) do what their masters told them to do. Hence I never considered voting for them.

Is there a way to fix these old headlights

Checkout this lad as he seems to know what he is doing & talking about (IMO) -
Did Leeds Lexus change my £87 air filters???
VFR replied to Tom999's topic in Lexus General Maintenance
Yes you are on point Sir, if it “was not” for the warranty they could do one as £87 for the cabin filter is taking the ***** (as all main dealers of “any” marque do) I am about to have my last (10 years) service done at Snows of Exeter (who gave me first rate service last time) I will mull over what are the chances of anything going wrong should I kick this system into touch or take the over 10 years extra per year cost (over the service cost on top) to run for the next year up to year 15 ? -
Obliged for that Phil

Hi AL Do you know if this extended warranty covers the same items as the relax one ?
-
Low profile tyres, so could look like slices of bacon a term that you may well hear in the South east. A fashionable look for many but give a terrible ride especially on today’s roads.
-
Yet again (I read) owners talking about road noise. Run flats are noisy (plain & simple) Tyres that look like slices on bacon are noisy on “any” car. Do not buy anything that includes the words Sport or Run Flat and always select the smallest “wheel” size available which will mean that the “wheel” will have the biggest tyre to absorb the noise that all tyre’s make. IMO (for what it is worth) in the UK now, or even the EU the “Sport” option will odds on leads to payments to our masters & as that option costs more why bother ?

RX450h Major Service
VFR replied to Big Kev's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
£120ph ?, who do they think they are Vets or Dentists To the OP the service includes the spark plug change and they are not cheap or easy to get to. -
In this case not as I watched just what he was doing “as he was also” a knowledgeable chap. He made the piggy back connection to the right fuse & “i” installed the camera’s (front & rear) including the wiring which he was happy for me to do (he knew I knew) but at my age it is easier to let a younger person do things that you now find hurt. A real nice lad who knew his stuff (rare at these places I know) but as suck I gave his input a 5* feedback as it was due. Why did I visit there in the first place ? Well they sold the kit I needed, they gave a discount for LO members and also gave a Halfords Discount card at the same time This was (at the time) Halfords in Stafford so credit where credit is due. (IMO)

Biggest / most prosperous eco block blah blah , oh you forgot the most (un)democratic block. It was as bent as a nine bob note from the very start & totally geared towards the D and FR as history tells us. At least Thatcher told them to do one or change the rules “a bit”
-
Try looking at “what is covered” and once done google “any’” bought at time of sale warranty’s from the many out there. The results speak for themselves !, yes Lexus know on balance they will be in pocket as the kit is so bloody reliable, but on occasion they will have to suffer the “big” bill. As the man said ……… do you feel lucky ?

No you are dead right (IMO) to want things confirmed and I would want the same. I went into my local Toyota dealer in Barnstable as like you it would save a long drive, they also confirmed that they could not carry out the Hybrid check which puzzled me as they have many hybrid models themselves. I will use Lexus as doing so guarantees the car (just in case) so it is a no brainer but painful on the wallet on occasion. Now I am coming up to 10 years I will look for other options I think.
-
From my experience Snows of Exeter are very good and I will shortly be having my last service there (almost 10 years old ) You only service it once a year so in the scale of things ?, and you can always visit Ikea while you are there. 😉 Or why not a Toyota of some kind instead ?
-
Your is a 2017 (?) is it not, in that case Lexus service once every year will give it another years warranty (IMO a no brainer) Scotty Kilmer is (IMO) just a loud mother idiot spouting the bleeding obvious, unlike C/C/Nut. Changing the oil & filter every 6 months can never do “any” harm and if I was in a place set up to do that then odds on I would. (Again IMO)
-
Nothing wrong with Duckhams (well it was a nice colour) and a good shot of Castrol R in the fuel tank as well. When the oil pressure got that low in the Mini 850 in the early 60’s we thought that a couple of cans of Hypoid 80 would help & it did (for a hour or so) By the time I arrived to rebuild my 1071s we had learned a bit more. ☺️

0/w8 that is almost WD40 is it not ?

Try something like this ? Try sticky back Matt black vinyl on eBay item number 133747286994

The filler point is at the “top” of the engine (on any car I have owned, worked on) So to answer your question NO never & do you know what a dipstick is ? 2 posts so I take it that this is a ?

I doubt it (IMO) but anything that tries to muffle the sound of a V8 should be unlawful 🤨

Just about to renew mine (LV) quote arrived showing around £100 more than last year. Called them to see if my change of circumstances will change things & as I am now widowed & have a small part time job locally the price went down by around £50. ? C the Market also arrived with the best price they could find that was £200 above LV ( did not go to the site to view it), ignored the mail and yesterday another arrived from them showing the best price was now £400 less than the first best price. Will be going with LV again myself.

Say it quietly - - cyclist season is coming :-(
VFR replied to GMB's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
Was following a 2 abreast cyclists out of Tavistock recently, 30 mph with no chance of a overtake so just sat well back and wait and see, had they noticed me and or been single file then an passing “may” have been an option but as they were busy chatting away it was a no no. Further down the road they slowed and move into the center section where you wait to turn right, so window down I said would help lads if you maybe used single file ? F this & F that shouted out from men clearly in their 50’s and covered in all the gear and they wonder why drivers are starting to do stupid things ? -
Worthwhile accessories “

For years I have hated “any” sunlight reflection from the dash onto the screen, so after seeing a few Australian car videos where it is quite common to fit something like this I bought one. Fits real good, does just what I want it to do & at a reasonable price. ………………. EBay ….. Nonslip Felt Fabric Dash Mat for LEXUS RX 350 450H 2010-2015 Dashboard Pad Black ……………….. Damn if I copy the link and say paste (in IOS) it just does not appear, so I go back to EBay and copy the description and that does appear ? Oh well such is life.
