screen wash liquid

That A35 has trafficators as they were called (not indicators) by the look of it. -
IMO its Gates and they are also OE fit for many brands.

Used to have one or two as most smokers do / did (now a long term ex smoker) As you say a mid life crisis that should of course be forgotten about as quickly as possible as "why" would you ever wish to go down this road especially in this day & age. IMO of course (well you did ask)

Opinions - Can this puncture be repaired?

That is one nasty ancient tyre that is only fit for the skip (IMO) -

Had a set of these (Heko) that I fitted to a Zafira I owned but although they improved the looks they were noisy so had to be returned. -
Is this the Ebay outlet (?) as I recently bought something from them and after I asked about any discount they said .................... Thanks for your message. Any discounts would only be applicable from the parts department at your local Lexus Centre. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help. Kind Regards, lexusofficialstore (United Kingdom)

For me rallying is the cutting edge as road racing is to the biking world. Lewis Hamilton is better than Schumacher was (IMO) as he is a clean driver who rarely oversteps the mark, where as Schumacher blatantly cheated on a number of occasions (well known ones) to secure 2 titles. I do wish Lewis would drop the taking the knee crap as it is not doing his image any good (again IMO) but the motoring press are really pushing the Lewis bad - Max good line from what I read. Bottas has been a poor number 2 for the past 2 seasons for Lewis as its clear that that is what he is employed to do and being paid a handsome wage for and I fancy that Russel will do a much better job than Bottas ever done while he waits for his chance to take over from the master.

It is not the moderators but Admin who dictate what is allowed, moderators are there to see that the forum rules are not abused. Your points though are well made and the club should be having words with Adrian Flux in that case or even allow another committed insurance company / broker to also advertise to the members who "for the vast bulk" are a good bet to have as clients. (IMO)

Yours may well have been & I am happy for you, but on the face of it my circumstances remain the same except that its now a Lexus 450h from a Honda FRV to paying over 3 times the amount PA seems a tad to much to my mind. Still such is life.

Had a similar shock from LV when I bought this 450h, thought it would be a little more coming from a 1.8 Honda but no it was a lot more. Years of no claims, elderly and a LV customer (via an insurance policy) for well over 50 years so not looking forward to the renewal time as the quotes from M-Supermarket etc were very high as well. Lovely car though. 🙂

Rear wiper seal letting water by
VFR replied to VFR's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Visited Lexus in Stoke this morning that I had booked in for 11. Take a seat, sign this, key, big plastic folder held out for me as I wondered why ? (all this in a kind of authoritative tone without the hint of a smile) and knew who we were from the off (guess they must have seen me parking up) Oh! the folder was for me to drop my key into it, anyway the nice lady at reception made us a coffee and we took a comfy seat as I saw the next customer go to the desk where the same guy simply took his key from his hand ? We both looked at each other wondering was it me ? (as you do) and no we both thought we had done something wrong (how strange) Anyway 45 min's later a tech guy asked us to follow him outside to show us what he had found where he took his time to explain what he had done & found. He thinks that the rear dash cam camera lead that had been installed so neatly (by me) was causing the seal to lift just enough to let water by as he had checked carefully and could find no former trace marks anywhere that you would expect had it leaked before, he had sorted the wire to another route and jet washed the area to double check. A real nice knowledgable guy who I would be very happy to work on our car again should the need arise who complemented us on our choice of Lexus (and meant it) and bid us a good day. 😀 -

Yes that was my first thought but should have been more specific as the drips were coming from inside the plastic cover that runs along the top of the tailgate and exiting on the lower edge where the slot is for the hinge, plus water was splashed around inside the boot area that was clearly visible as the door lifted. -
Had the car cleaned today at one of those drive through places that give it a blitz first with a power washer (yes I know but cannot wash it myself where I live now) Opened the rear later on in the day to find quite a bit of water that was dripping from the rear wiper area & as I had read a thread about this issue (it would seem ?) thought I would read up on the details prior to asking Lexus to sort it under the warrenty (bought the car a month or so back) Had a good search prior to this thread but could not find the thread in question so if anyones memory can point me to it ? Thanks in advance.

Have used Michelin Cross Climates for a few years now and found them to be very good (on other cars) but not fitted to a Lexus yet.
-
Update. Called Lexus Coventry twice but service not at the desk will get them to call you back, never did so a little while ago popped back to Halfords to get the battery checked over now I know where it lives (thanks to Herbie) and it turns out that it is in very good condition and the whole boot area under the cover is like new. Nextbase 522GW fitted both front & rear and working fine, so it would seem that the BlackVue was indeed faulty so glad to see the back of that.
-
Interesting Herbie and thanks for that.
-
Ok Halfords done & simply refunded the cost and I then bought a Nextbase one (F&R) Easy and pain free from the staff there so no complaints opened the bonnet to get the battery checked but nothing in sight (LOL) so we peered under the covers but did not pull them as I think he was unsure it being a Hybrid so will most probably visit a Dealer for them to look as when I started the car prior to going to Halfords the engine fired up but was missing / hunting for 5 to 10 seconds so that needs looking at.
-
Thanks for that Herbie. So do you think then that the 12v battery on my car could have seen better days ?
-
Evening Len. I called BlackVue UK based in Scotland many times over the past week at least and at first was impressed with how quick the answer the phone and the willingness to talk me through any issue but after talking to the very dismissive fellow today I thought enough is enough. Spoke to Halford chat and they told me to simply take it back for a refund / exchange etc as it is within the 30 days & not doing what was described (in effect faulty) Just to double check after a 20 (ish) mile drive home I left it about 30mins and fired the app up indoors .......... nothing (unable to connect to cloud) Popped out to the car again and all good once there with ignition on, back indoors and just tried again ........ zilch. Halfords in the morning to have a chat & see what happens ?
