  1. As we all touch wood. 😄
  2. Appreciate you commenting about your service as that tells us (well me) a lot. BTW have sent you a message on EBay regarding wind deflectors when you get a moment to view it.
  3. Strange as most on EBay include free shipping in the UK.
  4. Drivers now know there is little chance of being spotted by a police car as we are now in the AI camera world so many now do as they please.
  5. Just a bunch of appalling angry & aggressive drivers with no patience.
  6. No !
  7. Not surprised anyone would be confused with a name that bears no clue as to what the function is ?
  8. So MV will have the number 1 on his car next season but I read that Masi has said that it will be 1* in view of events.
  9. bis in die ( member) sent me this link as he is going to them in the new year & they do a good job by the look of it. https://www.southwestrustproofing.co.uk/?utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks
  10. Simple because he is not a touring car / banger racing driver ! Do that at Goodwood and you will never be invited again.
  11. On balance yes compared to Max. Lewis didn’t try to make the corner ?, how anyone can come to that conclusion is beyond me as had he tried they would have collided which is why the block pass is used. He took the only course open to him other than crash, use the run off. Yes of course from your prospective he should have simply jumped on the brakes and then gone back a few places so if that is what you prefer to see then fine. It is well known & has been for some time that that is MV’s modus operandi but to many it is distasteful regardless of who is doing it.
  12. In touring cars the block pass so loved by MV where you throw it up the inside & hope to either lean on the outside car to make the bend or force it off is not for open wheel racing. That is what he carried out on Hamilton on the first bend, either Hamilton braked to avoid the collision or ran off the track (as we saw) So if Hamilton gained an advantage good as it was MV who caused it the same as the last race where it actually penalised Hamilton. That distasteful team & driver now have what they wanted but history will always view it as so just like a couple of Schumachers titles.
  13. Lewis had it won. Safety car came out but he still had it won with one lap to go. Masi decided otherwise and made sure that Lewis could not win it. I have said it before a very distasteful decision given to a very distasteful team.
  14. For me it has always been very important ……If we cannot repair your vehicle “at the scene” we will take it & the occupants to any destination you choose. Most do not offer this (well the cheaper ones) and will only take your vehicle to the nearest local garage. The only company who offers this when I last checked was RAC and if you are a new customer you will get it at a competitive price, and also when you tell them you will be choosing someone else if already signed up.
  15. MV is a nutter plain & simple, much better suited to touring cars.
  16. I have seen a few of his rants and to me he is just an overrated gob****e (not a popular view I know)
  17. Wilco 😉 Pop into Wilco and see for yourself, they have a section where you can choose a bag size (small is well big enough) and fill it from what is on display, screws/washers/etc and a small bag cost around £3 and that is the best bargain you will find in there and yes they have some real big washers with real small holes.
  18. Hard to say but it has what sounded like a tinny noise so something loose ? Could be anything but an exhaust clamp / cover or suchlike so a visit to a workshop so it can go onto the lift is the route to take IMO
  19. In view of what you have said I would be buying some K Seal and popping that in as you have nothing to loose, mate of mine many years back used some on his transit and amazingly it worked a treat and the vehicle never did get the gasket changed.
  20. IMO ……. Fit a set of Cross Climates tyres and if driven in a sensible manner snow etc will not cause you any concern except those around you. Simply drive in real bad conditions as if you have no brakes (try it one day) and that will help a lot as brakes will not. Snow chains / studded tires etc etc are for places where you will never take your Lexus, well not those asking the questions anyway.
  21. Today I found …….. Was icy this morning and had remembered about a setting in the climate section that someone had posted so had a peep, there was on the first screen that opened in climate a small box on the bottom at centre of screen, it has the screen defrost logo with a line through it so clicked on it and it lite up green on the sides. Very shortly after nice warm air was coming out of the screen and side vents even though I had only turned the car on a few min’s before so there must be a heater in there somewhere geared to this situation.
  22. Lexus Stoke, glad you have good service there but this was my experience………….. [ Visited Lexus in Stoke this morning that I had booked in for 11. Take a seat, sign this, key, big plastic folder held out for me as I wondered why ? (all this in a kind of authoritative tone without the hint of a smile) and knew who we were from the off (guess they must have seen me parking up) Oh! the folder was for me to drop my key into it, anyway the nice lady at reception made us a coffee and we took a comfy seat as I saw the next customer go to the desk where the same guy simply took his key from his hand ? We both looked at each other wondering was it me ? (as you do) and no we both thought we had done something wrong (how strange) Anyway 45 min's later a tech guy asked us to follow him outside to show us what he had found where he took his time to explain what he had done & found. He thinks that the rear dash cam camera lead that had been installed so neatly (by me) was causing the seal to lift just enough to let water by as he had checked carefully and could find no former trace marks anywhere that you would expect had it leaked before, he had sorted the wire to another route and jet washed the area to double check. A real nice knowledgable guy who I would be very happy to work on our car again should the need arise who complemented us on our choice of Lexus (and meant it) and bid us a good day. ]
  23. As Barry has said pop into Halfords / Asda you name it and get a can of GT 80 and squirt a bit into the lock, put in your key and give it a good wiggle ( in out shake it all about) and the if needed a little help (little) with a pair of pliers. Doubt very much that it will effect the paint myself.
  24. Those days are long gone as the machines with impellers are only sold in the state, these modern top loaders move all of the items around and from top to bottom that you can watch while it is going on should you wish with the lid open, you can also simply add another item in at any time as well. you also have none of the hygiene issues that effect front loaders.
  25. That picture of the underside, look at the top right where the body sections are bent up (by the look of it) and being forced apart by rust ?
