My last car (Honda) I always used the council M.O.T place but with this one it made sense (to me) to use a Lexus center as they include a battery health check in the process and a wash & brush. It was around £10 more but you also got to sit and have tea / coffee in a comfy seat and the car moved around by those who are used to them.

No just asked about service costs & now I know just what I was buying (thanks guys) there is no benefit to me unless a good discount is given for paying up front (which was) but not being tied to that dealer. I will have my next service done at Derby and if the service (all of it) is good I will sign with them if they offer the same.

You are based in Yorkshire ? Well all those based in the South had full tanks & the further North you go (going on the posts here) it will get a lot less. So Yorkshire it may be fumes and a map to the nearest garage ? 😙

Well never knew that. Called Derby today asking about service costs and told them I had bought a plan yesterday at Lexus Wolverhampton & would be coming to them for its next service. Turns out that a plan is only of use at the dealership you bought it, I naively thought it would be UK wide. Now cancelled.

That thought has crossed my mind and not an unpleasant drive either.

Yes appreciate that and as the next service is an intermediate one (cheaper) my thoughts are to just pay for that at the time. Yes the car does have the one year cover on it as it was Lexus approved. Thanks for your input.

Mine is a 2015 with 28.500 on the clock and bought in Sept last year, it was given the big 60k service by them (Lexus Coventry) prior to me collecting it. Went in for an MOT today at Lexus Wolverhampton and I asked about a plan and he came back with a 2 year plan that has the 70k & 80k service plus 2 X MOT’s for £869, sat and mulled it over and as it was interest free I opted for that. He said that he had applied a 10% discount as being a member here. This afternoon I started thinking that as my car is not due another service until September and the next MOT is now a year away why did I sign up for that ?, I was thinking about being covered by warranty etc but I have that (do I not) from the last Sept service so ……… ? Thinking I will cancel this tomorrow and take out a plan at the next service date. Thoughts appreciated. 😉

Most of what I have read about RF’s is to avoid them and simply fit normal tyres.

To me its odds on that the caliper is not sliding as it should or the piston is not releasing, again as it should.

IMO just back the car as they have had the car but failed to cure the issue.

I also found it strange that it went Pedestrian - Cyclist - Horse Rider, when to my mind the horse rider should be after the pedestrian as you can never be quite sure what a horse will decide to do (well I guess so)

Would this filter / fan also be present on the RX 450h and if so in the same kind of area ?

As Herbie has said. It is rife in the bigger city’s as the roads are now only patrolled (for the most part) by cameras for this & that, so if the scroats can use your legit plates it is likely that Mr ANPR will leave them alone and indeed does. BTW most phones can now tell where you have been & when inc your dash cam (if fitted)

Looks like steam to me & from experience stainless systems make more. Hover you hand over the outlet and you will see the water droplets & your hand will become wet, oil will, well be oily.

Interesting as not long after buying mine is also started missing (old term hunting) for about 5 seconds, so like you let Lexus know as I had to return to the dealer for something else. That was a few months back & has not done it again & the tech at the dealer were also scratching their heads but checked this & that at the time. BTW on a V6 if it starts missing for any reason the engine will shake & rattle a bit.
