  1. The RX was serviced when bought (Lexus Coventry) and i have not needed to top the oil up yet, it “looks” damn near as clean as the day it was changed despite the miles I have put on it, never had an engine keep this clean and that includes the Honda before it. It is used every day since purchase with a long trip down to Kent every 2 months or so & have just completed a trip to Spain and back adding about 2k mls and this all using 95 ron and one fill 98 as I never saw E10 anywhere over there, cannot say that the mileage was any better though using one over the other but keeping the speed down a bit did show a saving (60 ish instead of 70ish) Thought it best to replace the wiper blades prior to the trip so had a like on Wiper Blades.co.uk and opted for some Lucas items but they made a noise on the change over at the top of screen so called the company to ask if I could pop in on our way south to Plymouth for some replacements? For sure was the answer and what a top notch outfit they are, upgraded them to Bosch twins, fitted them and all for no extra charge, even using my Lexus card Halfords was more expensive so will always buy from them in future. Had been looking at wind deflectors for some time so opted for the OE items supplied by Lexus official store on EBay but the arrived with some damaged to the chrome trim, contacted them about it inc pictures and straight away a refund was offered or a set of replacements, or a hefty discount which I took as I wanted to use them on my trip, now fitted and well pleased with them. Bought this after viewing the High Peak Motors review on the tube and have to say glad I did “and” it does make you a calmer driver (IMO) but has the grunt to get you out of trouble should it be needed.
  2. This is normal in Spain until the car is 10 years old and then every year. Did not see any issues as a result myself while living there.
  3. Doubt that the MSM would even mention it (may well explain things) yet on St Patricks day every talking head cannot wait to spout some twaddle about how happy they are as they own an Irish setter so are almost Irish themselves.
  4. As I said I know where I stand now.
  5. You know exactly what I meant by building 7 (ah you meant ?) and you have done a quick google for those links, or are you trying to imply that you have read and ingested that lot, if so pull the other one. Did notice that you also try to imply by association that I must then believe in the flat earth twaddle. I gave a polite answer why I quoted your post in the first place but it is clear you have an issue with that (touched a nerve I guess) but I know where I stand now so will be mindful of that.
  6. Guess it may be appropriate as it was a response to what you wrote. 😉 Building 7 was the third building that fell to earth later in the day after the two towers fell down, it had people scratching their heads at the time & still does I read. I have posted on this thread before about how when you click onto it you arrive at page 1 every time (well it does for me ?) and not the last post as you expect, so I think I clicked on page 6 (?) that was showing and somehow ended up reading your post from a few months ago. 🤔
  7. Morning Len. Critical thinking you say (rightly) that is rarely used by the talking heads nowadays. How then do you explain building 7 (?) You cannot of course so “it must” bring the whole story into question & if not why not ?
  8. Evening Dess If you need to ask about an earth strap then it is best that (forgive me if I have got this wrong) you get someone who is skilled enough to change the oil “and” deal with any issues that doing this may crop up.
  9. Used to have a friends club voyager code (that you are allowed to share) back in 2016 but he is no longer with us. Wondered if any member who “may be a member” would like to share a code for this trip with the assurance that if so it would never be passed on to anyone else. As they say until you ask ? 😉
  10. OE spec air filter is far superior IMO The K&N does have a following though especially when it is re-oiled with snake oil. 😉
  11. Morris Minor panda car State of the art kit in its day (1920)
  12. What I posted was a couple of videos from a good few years back that will show (if you wish to look) who we are dealing with in Ukraine & as one was by the BBC it can hardly be filled in the conspiracy folder as “any” opinion that does not follow the Hate Hate Hate agenda that seems to be the MSM agenda. Yes I do not subscribe to the hate Russia agenda and the media frenzy. Nothing I have seen (on videos with Putin) over the past decade has lead me to think that he is a raving lunatic, quite the opposite with countless comments (overwhelming in fact) by viewers praising him as a leader. Sorry if that upsets anyone and like you hope things can get back to normal ASAP
  13. Fancy he will be around for a while longer (a lot) The hero of the day before he was beautified……… This one from the BBC a good few years back that our new censors have clearly missed showing his stormtroopers.
  14. No fit & forget (ish)
  15. No not needed at all …………….. until it is !
  16. I would only fit OE filters myself but for sure look online (as posted) to save a few pounds. OE are superior to the likes of Fram (way better) as many online videos will show, but when needs must aftermarket will do. IMO
  17. I start this @:40 as this is the Lexus segment but I enjoy this watching this type of video from start to finish myself.
  18. I think that you have more chance of Bercow ever admitting he was at fault than that happening. 😉
  19. Watching the fitting of these I notice that they remove a chassis bung to pop the mounting inside, but this is not then closed with any sort of seal so my thinking is that water will then have an easy entry point. I guess (?) that an OE item would take account of this ?, anyone know.
  20. It will certainly be good for 6 more (IMO) but as long as it does not impact on any warranty you may still have ?
  21. This video may be of help. Mind you looking at how this brand is made & fitted a 20+ stone person would be at risk relying on it. We’re these ever an OE option by Lexus ?
  22. I wonder what will do more harm ? Changing the oil / fluid. or Not changing the oil / fluid. 😉
