Yes I did wonder if they could be altered (height) as to me they are set to low. Is that a garage job or something I could tackle myself ?
-
Thanks for that and so it looks like I will just have to live with how they are.
-
Yes they swivel around and as I read are auto levelling, but to me they are set to low on dip beam so I guess I will just have to live with that ? I also find the light output on dip beam to be poor so would like to upgrade the LED’s if such a thing is possible ? Any thoughts out help appreciated .

LOL i do as well (sump first) but just misread it.

Getting tyres from, and fitted by, dealers.
VFR replied to Herbie's topic in Lexus General Discussions
IMO ./….. Tyre fitting companies/ outlets are more than used to TPMS in wheels as “most” brands fit them. Had tyres fitted by Costco & others without a moments thought about TMPS issues. Why would you need to take your car the Lexus to have tyres fitted (?) when its odds on that they will simple take it to a tyre fitting outfit to have that done (at your expense) -
The last bit I should not have written though as it is uncalled for.

Yes I remember that as if it was yesterday! When they opened the doors (as we saw on video) and was later proven that the FBI hands agitators in the crowd to encourage them to go in. Mind you “if” you always read the Beano or Dandy you may not be aware of this ?

RX450h security plates
VFR replied to Salvador's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Hmmm ? I wonder if those issues reported by some owners having a number of electrical gremlins after having those plates fitted is the reason for this (?) change of action. -
Unfortunately my camera did pick it up hence LV said it was there to be avoided, yes I replied had I been driving “at it” from a direct direction then I would certainly been at fault. I was though exiting for the left where the shadow of a person is “and” although my dash cam could see the ramp that silly ******* had left in the road (while his good lady in a wheelchair would only be a few minutes, he said) I could not from my position. In this case a mistake to submit this footage to LV (?) but what pisses me off is that this dismissal of my view was instant ! Been a customer with them since 1948 (yes as long as that) but will now look to deal elsewhere.

What could possible go wrong …………. Walked up the pavement between the blue badge bays to where mine was parked (reversed in as normal) Big VW van thing had nosed in next to me and on my nearside, so not to wrong as plenty of room in the bays so into my drivers seat to get ready to leave. Noticed that the van had one of the lifting rear doors and it was in the up position but quite high so again plenty of clearance ? Quick Look left and right checking for cars / people etc and pulled out slowly to my left (all on dash cam) Funny crunching noise and a guy sitting in the rear of the van telling me to stop, **** I thought that door that I had been keeping an eye on was well high ? My wife is disabled he said and will not be long hence I left it out ! I am insured with LV who took his side by saying the it was there to be seen, yes on balance you are right but as I was parked alongside and turning left I could not see it & does he not have a duty of care not to leave this home made ramp like that damn near half way across the road ? Sorry Sir but it was clear to see on your dash cam footage, yes but my camera is mounted high up on the nearside not in front of me. This incident (as they term it) even though I have years of this & that , protected this & that cost me £340 as that dy I had renewed my policy and had they known that is how much more it would have cost Still pisses me of now over a month later.

From what I have read over the past few years on a number of platforms is to avoid the CMC companies like the plague. Also read that they are one of the reasons that insurance is so expensive for so many as their extortion on prices has to be paid for …….. by us of course.

Decades ago (and it was as long as that) the Ford Sierra I owned at the time had a “heated” windscreen and worked a treat ! Why (?) are these not fitted to “all” vehicles that are sold in cold climates “by all manufacturers” is beyond me or is it a Patent Issue ?

I am interested Juluan and wonder if I could maybe come along at some stage to see it ? Feel free to PM me.

New LBX - Windscreen Washer System
VFR replied to aforster0426's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Not very effective , still there. Are you talking about those (what appears to be) white spots ?, if so as has been said you need to manually clean your windscreen & blades as even the best (Prestone) washer fluid can only do so much. An old micro cloth made into a pad with some meths on it will clean it like new & in the mountains many years ago I would add a tidy amount of Meths to the washer bottle to stop any freezing but that was in an HGV not my nice shiny Lexus. Now I just use minus 20+ Prestone washer additive -
Hi Ray. As I said it dims & then un-dims as I travel along which to me is not normal.

When my headlights are on either by selecting auto or manual “on” the screen brightness will often suddenly dim to about half what it is normally (enough that it catches your eye) This is the info screen in the center of the dash (and in my case) tells me the state of charge etc as I always leave it on that view as it suits me. Also The blue downlight / background light that shows either side of the speedo dials etc will often go off & on but this has been going on for at least a year (or 2) Serviced today at Lexus Exeter as my car has now reached 10 years, so I wanted to raise this issue as looking at what is covered by Lexus warranty it seems that the infotainment screen etc / dash screen etc is covered ? They reported back that the tech found nothing wrong and yes with the headlights on it will dim as is normal, but it has never done that before (i said) and should that be the case why does it go dim & light as I go along ? Could it be the sensor that I guess it has to determine the level of daylight etc at fault (?), if is causes you any problem Sir then please come back (in my case just over an hour away) So as I said I have not noticed it before (this dimming) but am I missing something as yours does it all the time ? The blue backlight behind the speedo is definitely a fault but I know that they bulk at pulling something like that out to charge an LED. Thoughts ……. ?

Mine is going in tomorrow for it’s 10th year service at Snows of Exeter (just an oil filter etc service) It has though not used a drop of oil in the years that I have had it although I still have the litre of Mobile 1 I bought to top it up some many years ago. Each time I pull the dipstick the colour never changes by much but (!) i do not drive it hard for the most part., “if” i did throw up an Oil Light I would want to know why !, and would not rest until I knew why.

You will not buy another car because the company’s app is not very good ? Your comment (JAP CRAP) says it all for me ! A Tesla will suit you just fine in that case ……… bye.
