  1. Fret not, I bought an RCF Carbon for my 70th.......
  2. There's more......🙂 It's all about the vapour pressure of water which increases considerably with temperature. A tyre inflated with damp air on a rainy day will put on more pressure than the same tyre inflated with dry air as its temperature rises in use. So as the dry air tyre warms up with use the air expands, the damp air tyre will expand more and so put on more pressure. Nitrogen is used as it is dry before it is compressed and bottled. The difference between dry nitrogen and dry medical air would be marginal.
  3. Enjoy guys. Too far for me I’m afraid, would use up my monthly petrol ration……🥴🥴🥴
  4. Greetings from the North. Enjoy your purchase, you have chosen well!
  5. I had this issue when I bought my RCF last year. Dealer said 60k plugs were required even though the car had only done 24k. As I didn’t know the car and needed the warranty I went with the new plugs. About £34 each if I remember. It hurt……..
  6. Thanks LenT. My lad has been car racing for a good while so we have quite a bit of kit including a NOCO Boost Sport for starting up cars with no charging circuit. It's been really good, always got things going. Before that I had a Pitking which it think was better, I swear it had more power than my baby grand daughter's lungs. Sadly it had no polarity protection, someone wrong connected it and fried it........ Cheers all
  7. Afternoon all. Many thanks for all your comments and advice, they are much appreciated. I've decided to go with the CTEK, currently charging a slave battery before it goes on the RCF. Cheers and seasons greetings William
  8. The RCF is now happily residing in the garage and will remain there till Easter. I'm considering buying a CTEK MXS 5.0 smart charger to keep everything electrical in good order. Has anyone any experience of this item? Can I just connect it up without disconnecting the battery? Cheers William
  9. Well I have finally made a purchase. Wasn’t too keen on a Carbon, as a child of the 1950’s a black bonnet on anything other than a black car is rather incongruous. Likewise I usually go for somber colours, I have had many silver cars. So I bought this……. Oh dear……
  10. Nemesis you are quite correct. I have at last been contacted by a human being and there is no option to view the car, basically you buy it then send it back within 7 days and are refunded as you said. That's the only deal available. That would work fine for me with a washing machine or maybe even a Ford Focus but an RCF? No thanks. The search continues............
  11. Bit of an update. I've tried 2 or 3 times to make contact and all I get is scripted questions and computer responses. Heavy push on selling finance and there seems to be the total expectation that I will buy the thing unseen. Just now I need to know where the car is so I can see it. That and the crazy fluctuation of price makes it hard work so far. I will continue...... PS I wonder if my expression of interest has triggered today's price drop of £1000. Remember Price Drop TV?
  12. Oh now I do like the sound of that. I’m a cash buyer with no part ex but could work nicely with that idea. Thanks Arnett.
  13. Thanks for this guys, most helpful. Rest assured me being a Yorkshire lad I will be well up for chipping the price down!
