  1. Hi Steve At least you know that others have had this problem and you aren't just loosing it!!! lol 🤣 Ant
  2. Hi guys Today I have recieved in the post a lower console in the light wood which included an radio flap button switch. I fitted the switch and it works great! I'm chuffed to bits now that bluetooth is working great and so is all switches now! If anyone is interested in the light would dash then make me an offer! Anthony
  3. The dodgy connection is my worst nightmare! 😱 Let's hope it doesn't reappear. Anthony
  4. I don't believe it!!!! It started working normally this afternoon, could something be going on? 👻
  5. Hi guys My aerial has started to power up automatically when any type of music is used like disc, radio, tape etc. Has anyone come across this or able to direct me what to look at? Regards, Anthony
  6. Hi Stewart Did you have a full system fitted and did you delete the 3rd cat? Is your new system the same box configuration as the original Lexus system? Hi Neil How much power difference is there with 3rd cat delete? I was offered dual pipes at both sides and was considering the impact on cutting the rear bumper to accomodate it...I like the look but is it worth the extra work? My appointment is a week on Monday so getting nearer and figure I need to give them the heads up about the cat and tailpipes before then.
  7. If any of you are removing the lower console, be careful not to knock it as I have just telephoned Lexus and been quoted £150!!!
  8. Especially for 4.3 V8 users! 😂😂
  9. Thanks Martin It all worked out in the end, well except the radio cover switch. Oh and my aerial goes up even when not tuned to radio, I don't know what's causing that. I believe all UK spec SC's had Sat Nav as standard but I have heard of foreign imports without but I'm sure Neil will correct me if I wrong. Thanks for your work on these topics it is greatly appreciated. Ant
  10. Update : The switch is broken and I require a new one, just bracing myself to ring Lexus for a price! If anyone has a part number or has one to sell, let me know!
  11. Where to today 🤔 decisions, decisions! ...or do I have a look at the radio flap button which is no longer working since fitting the Bluetooth music streaming module ugh 😑 OR BOTH!!! YEAAAA!!!
  12. On the road from Delph to Shaw, dropping down to Shaw just after the Black Lad pub!
  13. Great day for a top down drive! The view over Manchester!
  14. Perhaps I should do a more thorough test but I wonder what Martins thoughts are on quality differences! Ant
  15. Hi Neil I believe the sound quality is better than a CD. Win win eh?! Ant
  16. Thanks Martin, it works brilliant on the few different music sites on my phone. Anybody could do it out there, just watch the utube videos and take it stage by stage..
  17. I am presuming that the pink lead which was supplied is not required?
  18. Hi Martin On with job fully disconnected now but trying to understand which plug goes where...need a diagram or call really! Ant
  19. Excellent news Geoff! 👍
  20. I forgot to ask, are you thinking about cattying any other work or upgrades? If so, please share on here as we love that! I have become an addict to little projects onecafter another. Anthony
  21. Hi Geoff I have seen spare wheels second hand on several websites so it may be that with patience you may find the real McCoy at a reasonable price. I use mine as a daily driver and don't carry a spare and never felt nervous about it believing that regular tyre checks, a working TPS and a valid RAC membership will keep me safe! Anthony
  22. Hi Guys Just got my front bumper painted and it looks great! Note that the old large UK number plate carrier has been replaced by a USA spec one which is much smaller. This required the two square holes filling and then a full paint. Well worth the expense to reduce the gorky front end, but it's a work in progress!
  23. Hi Geoff Are you aware that a space saver spare wheel for the SC430 can be stored vertically in the boot in the specially designed well? It can stay there even when the roof is down. That is with the foam half moon insert removed of course!
  24. Hi Russ My hopes and confidence have been raised by work Martin has done! I have ordered the leads he indicated from ebay and I will fit them on arrival. When fitted I will message my findings to everyone and will meet anyone local like you if you want to see it working. Anthony
  25. You guys do well 👏 I only achieve 17 on my local runs which are stop start, up and down hills, also short with a cold engine barely getting warm (that's my excuse but a heavy right foot may have a bearing on it). On a run this only goes up to mid to late 20's but these are not motorways but frequently drivers roads. Despite that no-one buys a 4.3 V8 and expects economy, well I certainly didn't. Its well worth it as it makes me smile every time I go out in it. Ant
