  1. Great day out at at The Bear Inn, Birkswell, thanks for all your efforts Juan for coordinating the event. Great location and venue, lovely pub with good food, lots of hotels less than 5mins away, empty top carpark for all the vehicles which attended. There was 27 SC430's and 15 Soarers. It was great to meet old friends and new and I'm sure the event next year will surpass all previous ones!

  3. Glad to hear your light has now gone and it's great to hear you are making the journey, what's your eta?
  4. I have never met Rich but we have messaged each other many times which were frequently me picking his brain for technical knowledge. He was always truthfull and helpful to me and I valued our friendship. That is why I find it so hard to believe it has come to this, I speak as I find and to me he has been a good guy. I know some members may feel aggrieved if they have been personally affected by the rash or ill-advised actions of people and it is difficult to contain that animosity but for the sake of the event and the SC430 community please contain their feelings. Its a beautiful day so let's have a fantastic event! Anthony
  5. You get your ***** here! lol Sorry to hear about your problems but it would be such a shame for you not to take part! Let us know mate, Ant
  6. No, Tom had me up and off at 7!!!!
  7. Hi guys Down at our hotel in Balsall Common and the weather is brilliant!
  8. Was that including painting all the trim parts black, red seat belts and labour?
  9. Brad from Conway with the blue one, Russ from Mansfield with the white one, Dr Will with the red one, Ian from Derbyshire with the black one and me with the silver one. Now that's a fair array of colours! Sorry Ian, I do not have a pic of yours! Ant
  10. Yes I'm trying my best but most people are so reserved that hardly anyone has even commented. This is a concern when Juan has worked so hard to promote SC430'S and arrange this event, especially as it promises to be such a good one!
  11. On Wednesday I went into an auto leather specialist which has just opened near Holmfirth to ask his advice about sorting my beige leather out. He said to dye leather seats is only a temporary fix and therefore he would want to replace the leather. I gulped and propped myself up against my car as I asked him how much to re-leather both front seats. He said £1500 which I kind of expected but as I have seen many SC's with much worse seats than mine. It seems a bit extravagant with all the other interesting mods that are probably more pressing!
  12. I have been told SC prices are rising in the US and was just been sent this as proof. Hopefully the UK will follow
  13. Hi Martin I really hope you can make it, you will really enjoy seeing so many vehicles in one place. If its the distance, Tom and I have booked in at a great local hotel called Haighs Hotel on Saturday night for less than £80 including breakfast. Dr Will says he is coming and he is a YouTuber so I will ask him! Regards, Anthony
  14. Even the weather appears to be playing ball for a top down Lexus SC430 meeting!
  15. The numbers appear to be going up and we need another 2 SC's to match the biggest ever meet! If you are thinking about joining and undecided I urge you to be part of what could be a historic event!
  16. Hi Martin It was on another topic in SC430 club started by me called: exhaust lol
  17. Hi Martin I have put her away in the garage and I don't want to disturb her! lol I will look tomorrow, find its name, get its dimensions and message you. Are you still coming to the meet on Sunday, if so you can listen to several with modified exhausts. Pick the one you like best and then photograph, video, measure and record names! If you are coming up Saturday you can listen to mine on the road! Anthony
  18. Hi Martin The only comment is thanks 👏!!! I have considered it but was always concerned about the implications of using the wrong one, feeling doing nothing was probably my best option. A await your final conclusions with interest! Anthony
  19. Hi Martin Did you read back through my earlier messages on this exhaust feed because I had exactly the same dilemma as you? In the end I trusted the exhaust place to replicate what type of sound I wanted and the volume. Much to my amazement the tone and volume was exactly right! So if you trust them explain what you want and cross your fingers... Anthony
  20. You are right Roy it is an immaculate vehicle and late ones are as rare as hens teeth! So 23k for the best out there as a forever car is not out of order!
  21. Lexus Leeds, have a 2009 SC430 in black with black leather, it has done 25000 miles, one owner and has full Lexus service history. It is just being valeted and prepared for sale, I have seen it and it is pristine inside and out. Price 23K, I reckon it would be hard to find a better one.
  22. Just for some variety....the weather here in the Pennines is windy, cloudy and raining! I did a full valet yesterday including a full wash and vacuum. That is typical as I have to go into Leeds and was looking forward to another top down experience! I really don't want to get her out 😪 You would have seen a pic of my clean and pampered SC if it wasn't for technological glitch. So if anyone can explain to me, (in simple terms) why it refuses to send the pic and puts the message below up, I would be grateful
  23. No it wasn't a spelling mistake, it's just your mind! Actually it is a great product which is made to clean muddy bikes with but I suppose any soapy product will do! Anthony
  24. Hi Phil I have finally removed the water marks which were embedded in my windscreen and had refused all previous removal attempts! For a perfect screen I used 0000 wirewool lubricated with Muck-Off, then cleaned with Meguiar's glass cleaner and topped with RainX rain repellent. I would recommend all products for anyone experiencing similar problems or just wanting a perfectly clean windscreen!
