Hi All, if I was looking at an RZ, I'd definitely try and get a 300e with 18" wheels. Re: the UXe Takumi, having had the original Takumi, I think the ride on the long range one is even better, especially at lower speeds.

I avoid putting anything on it as well. I'd go back to your dealer and ask them if they can sort it out for you or if a replacement part is needed.

My experience with the kwh is the same as Paul above. I had a 2021 UXe Takumi, then changed recently to the longer range one. I agree, space in the second row isn't great. The Takumi grade doesn't seem to command a huge premium over the Premium Plus for some used examples and if you can, I'd go for the Takumi. I've found the head up display and 360 degree camera to be very useful. Neither version I've had has a memory function on the drivers seat- I don't think it's available on the electric UX. I think it's a very comfortable, high quality car and would definitely recommend one. The 10 year warranty is also good. The customer service I've had from Snows Hedge End (Southampton) has been brilliant- nothing seems too much trouble. Hope this is helpful.

Very nice car Ian, thanks for the pictures. The interior looks lovely too. I think I'm right that you have the 12.3 Lexus Link Pro screen and the separate clock. I gained the 'Link Pro' screen but lost the clock when changing to the updated UXe and miss it- it looked good and was so usefully positioned. Thanks also for your interesting and informative write up.

I had an LBX Original Edition courtesy car for a couple of days recently and was most impressed. The ride was a bit firmer than the UXe at lower speeds but it was generally excellent and very quiet on the motorway. The specification was really good and it felt very solid and well built. I managed to get c70mpg in mixed driving. If I wanted a smaller Lexus, I'd consider the AWD LBX for the multi-link rear suspension but overall the FWD version was great.

Hello John, my nearest dealer is Snows Hedge End (who have been great) but you're right, Snows have taken over the previous Hendy Toyota and Lexus franchises. I understand there will be new side by side Toyota and Lexus showrooms in Yarrow Road in Tower Park, just along from the VW dealer, on the same side of the road. From the plans (on the council planning website), it looks very impressive. Not having visited the area for a while I'm not sure how construction is going or when they'll officially open but hope this helps.

Your car looks like new Dave, it looks great and a very nice colour too. I wondered if it's Sonic Titanium. I agree about the service you get from Lexus Hedge End. I was their the other day and they had a 2016 GS F Sport in their covered used car area. It looked very smart. I thought the interior was much more 'traditional' Lexus and all the better for it with the nice clock and dashboard and door trims.

I agree if you can get a great deal, it's worth going for it. The prices for nearly new, very low mileage (perhaps pre-reg) RZ's at some dealers seem very good. Some brokers are discounting the UXe by around 30% but am not sure if that level of discounting applies to the RZ. Bob is right that Lexus are in a difficult place with EV sales- I'd imagine there will be bigger incentives as the year progresses. Perhaps the rumoured reduction in the VAT rate to 10% on new EV's in next weeks Budget will help to increase demand.
