Thanks Keith, I have seen your post regarding the elusive BBS wheel colour a good bit of detective work on your part. I did have my scuff repaired and to be fair to the smart repair guy (I have alloy/tyre insurance) he did a pretty good job of matching the colour, confessing he had to 'play' with two colours (black and silver) to get the blend right before finishing with final clear coat. It's always a concern that despite having rims repaired there is always a risk that colour match might be discernably noticeable from original colour.

Feel your pain having scuffed a wheel so soon into ownership. Your wheels definitely look diamond cut and by the looks of it will/should need re-cutting provided there is no welding required to build up the alloy my guess is around the £100-£120 ish mark only problem is you'd need to leave your car on an axle stand as you've no spare to put on temporarily whilst wheel is away. If you look for Roadhero on the Internet they do spacesaver kits to suit most vehicle wheel sizes plus if you get intouch with Carnoisseur (their agent/partner) they are superb at customer service and advice. I speak personally as they sourced a new 19inch space saver bespoke to my GS F. I had my GS 300h wheel refurbed last year similar to your damage but then I did have alloy insurance, wheel was collected and returned good as new. Maybe those on the forum in your neck of the woods could recommend a good wheel refurbishment business.

Could be an old wives tale, but, I have heard the infotainment system can be affected (knackered) when swapping the battery leading to an expensive repair/replacement 🙄. I had my battery changed just to be on the safe side and let the dealer take the 'expensive' risk. Try LPD and see if any discount on offer for the oem battery.

Is it normal for pads to be worn enough to be an advisory at 21500 ish miles (first mot in 2021), someone had a heavy right foot !!! ? Thinking could it have been used as a track day car and possibly had an off at some point hence the latest MOT fail/pass 🤔

Not aware of any UK cars that are diamond cut thought it was a US option....but I do stand to be corrected if I'm wrong, ....besides diamond cut wheels can only be refurbed only so many times as I know personally having had them on previous cars, personally I like the dark chrome effect better....but I am biased.

Pain to clean though 🙄

Recently had my slight kerb scrape repair done refurb guy did mine by eye, black base with silver dusting then lacquer top coat all done by eye and experience ....yep no paint code for shadow chrome 🤫

I bought a bosch battery from Euro car parts a few years ago for my mother's Mondeo, came with 5yr guarantee if I remember correctly look out for any discount codes

TBH the purple wrap does nothing for me, not a big fan of the original orange but I'd rather that than purple. Laziness on behalf of dealer not to post their own pictures imo.

Funny how the price on the Lexus website is still £62990....is there really a car to see ? pictures are taking forever, the prep work on this one should be better than new !!!

Hi Paul It's a small world it would seem, I also reside in Sittingbourne although not an SC owner I'm in the F bit of the club, never know may bump into one another some time. Enjoy the Lexus individuality and not be running with the crowd.👍
