  1. For those that have not read the review click the link below. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-clarkson-review-why-is-the-lexus-nx-so-hard-to-get-into-zm7bmhmwd
  2. Any automatic car cannot be towed with the driven wheels in contact with the road. In the past when my auto Mondeo needed towing (by the AA) the driven wheels were lifted on a cradle and the rears placed on a bogie trolley which was towed behind the AA recovery van, and the Ford indeed had a towing eye etc etc. Both the GS cars in the family likewise have towing eyes the h has a spare and the F has a tyre repair kit and jack although I have purchased a road hero space saver for the F as I don't like the thought of being stranded with a flat tyre.
  3. To be fair I use two different Lexus dealers...Jemca Sidcup for the GS 300h and Lexus Maidstone (Marshalls) for my GS F and I have to say I have had no gripes at all ...indeed the Lexus dealer in Cheltenham where the F was purchased were extremely good also.
  4. The dealerships are being offered to the various toyota franchises in the areas that Marshalls operate ....just three if I recall correctly.....
  5. All the Marshall Toyota/Lexus dealerships up and down the country are up for grabs ....Toyota is unhappy that Marshalls are part of Constellation group that owns Cinch which in their opinion cheapens the Toyota brand which they would rather not be part of ......so I am reliably told 🤫
  6. Asymmetric 6 to the front and 3 to the rear due to the staggered set up and the load rating (94Y rear, 96y front) non run flats.
  7. To be honest they actually feel to be a better ride and cornering more sure footed ....not that I hoon around corners ....I'm more than happy with how they perform just not so happy about the hole in my wallet !!! I remember back in the day when the Goodyear Grand Prix S were the tyre of choice, does that give my age away? 😂
  8. I've just had a complete set of Goodyear Eagle F1 put on my GS 300h F sport (staggered set up) and am finding how much less road noise there is compared to the original Bridgestones that came with the car not that they were worn just they began to crack heavily plus I do seem to be getting a little better mpg.
  9. Doughnuts anyone https://youtu.be/X90SF7KuE6s
  10. I have to change my clocks at home !!!
  11. Use it after giving the car a good wash, that way you know the car is free from dirt and use it as a polish ....at least that's how I have used it and likewise any other aqua free wash and shine product.
  12. Had my F done and dusted couple of weeks ago ....no issues whatsoever....Lexus Maidstone 👍
  13. Glad the suggestion worked for you....
  14. May not be keeping them for much longer....Google Marshall group /toyota
  15. No free fuel from Maidstone but got free courtesy car.
  16. Maybe you could try a dedicated chrome cleaner....autosol comes to mind ...or give it a go with WD40 first.
  17. To be honest I thought I'd be given an all electric UX, last year I was given a normal hybrid UX and I thought it was a nippy little thing. I will wait and see what Sidcup give me when I take the F sport hybrid in for its MOT, service and recall work next month.
  18. I had no problem with arranging courtesy car even more impressed I got an RX L 450h to have albeit for a short time.
  19. Well, mine went in to Lexus Maidstone as arranged for its MOT and the recall work, have to say the guys there were on the ball and special mention to Richard Nugent (service manager) who waived the courtesy car charge due to the recall work and had my car ready for collection roughly two and a half hours from time of dropping it off and car fully valeted upon my return, no smell of fuel in the cabin either. Happy bunny 🐰
  20. All Lexus cars have that feeling of wrapping around you imo but each to their own I guess.
  21. Well today (Saturday) my F went for its MOT and the recall work regarding the fuel vent tube replacement at Lexus Maidstone, no surprises as it sailed the MOT, I had pre booked a courtesy car and was ready to pay the £15 charge, but I was pleasantly surprised to be informed that due to the recall the courtesy car charge would be covered by Lexus, even better I got a lovely 72 plate RX (old model) to take home, albeit for a short time as the work was completed in a little over two and a half hours and a complimentary wash and vac as well. Must say I was very impressed with the RX and the 3.5 V6 lump, extremely smooth and very sprightly considering it was the L version with a lovely V6 engine note that didnt sound over stressed, if it weren't for the can-bus thefts I'd be in the market for one come the day I wanted to change vehicle, interesting to note that the keyless entry had been disabled due the the increase of the can-bus related thefts.
  22. Sounds like your car is on the Monza website (AT) hope you got a decent price if it is yours pal .
  23. I've been having the problem with my GS 300h, not sure I want to go premium either, but I, like yourself, am having trouble finding a single tyre brand to cover the staggered set up in the mid range category, Hankook seem to have the sizes but are a Y & W rating front/rear.
  24. That's interesting 🤔 mines going in for its MOT and the recall work on a Saturday, the workshop is only open until 1.00pm, I've been told it's one and a half hour job coupled with the one hour MOT, just as well I've got a courtesy car arranged might have it for the weekend 😉.
  25. At least you have the safety net of paying by card ....I'm sure the motoring press would have a field day on this one....should there be a need to. Good luck with whatever route you take.
