Has it been stolen or damaged ?
-
Tbh I cant say the steering feels heavy in any mode if anything I'd say the rack feels quicker in sport and sport+ rather than light
-
Fyi mine are at 2.5 bar all round
-
There isn't really any need for a professional (electrician) to check them as they have a self test button and besides the only maintenance is really a quick hoover out where the optical detection sits plus record expiry dates I work on social housing and the only form there is (niceic smoke inspection form) is for recording type of system and keeping track of expiry date.
-
Replace them with Aico detectors arguably the best on the market, non replaceable lithium batteries, also can be radio linked with battery stand alone detectors of the same brand so no need for cabling etc Most local authorities use them in there social housing homes, they are the only ones I'd fit (I am a sparks)

Shouldn't have to pay anything as its a sanctioned Lexus recall, likewise petrol should be reimbursed. I had issue when I took my GSF in for recall work with exactly the same issue regarding fuel and courtesy car, a quick email to Lexus Customer services soon had me reimbursed for my out of pocket expenses and my inconvenience. I was informed that Lexus GB cover all the necessary costs to the dealer regarding recall works.

Attempted Theft
Duggie B replied to Danny Boi's topic in Lexus RC Owners Club / RC 200t / RC 300h Club
Hi Have a look at my GS, GS F theft risk post, you may find it informative. -
Today I received a phone call from customer relations (pleasant lady) who was extremely apologetic for having given me the wrong information regarding GS/ GS F vehicles. She had, upon reading my reply with a screen shot of the official Lexus list showing vehicles at risk, gone back to the Technical Team who checked again (apparently due to both cars having cherished plates they checked against vin numbers this time) and have agreed that the GS F cars are at risk but the hybrids are not due to being built on the different global architecture. The good news for me because of this being wrongly informed, as a good will gesture they will fit a tracker and geo fence to the 300h as well as the F. So to clarify. GS F is sanctioned for security upgrade. Hybrids are not sanctioned (except for mine). Apparently dealers are aware of the models concerned and GS F owners should book in with their preferred dealer to get the ball rolling for fitment of the security enhancements. I

Maybe it was garaged, but, could it have been in a constant damp atmosphere likely caused by damp coming up from under the car ? For instance no damp proof membrane 🤔

Hi all. After waiting for any news from Lexus on the potential added security/vulnerability canbus theft issues on the GS models as per their info as to which models are at risk of theft, I yesterday sent an email to customer relations regarding the risk of the two vehicles in our family (as per topic title). Those of us who have the said vehicles please see response received back from Lexus CR.

Lexus Servicing by Toyota
Duggie B replied to Pauly C's topic in Lexus UX250h / UX300h / UX300e Club
A lot of Lexus dealers are also Toyota dealers and I know both our cars are serviced at the Toyota workshop apparently by the Lexus trained Technicians, (all the training happens at Burnaston I believe where Lexus/Toyota head quarters are located)....seems logical as most components would be shared across both marques vehicles likewise the technology. -
Congrats on your new purchase, now there's two GS F in kent 👍

LBX Morizo RR - just spotted this....
Duggie B replied to GMB's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
Maybe one of these will make it to the UK instead. Lexus need to have at least one performance model for the UK as we lament the demise of all the F models and LC V8' https://www.forbes.com/sites/peterlyon/2024/07/26/toyota-to-revive-celica-and-mr2-with-4wd-and-manual-gearbox/ -
Snap !!! I had one of these also whilst my F was in for service at Canterbury Lexus on Wednesday just gone....as you say seriously fast but hasn't got the aural drama of a V8 when in sport+ and you mash the throttle, absolutely aural s*x as a opposed to the sound of electrons. I really couldn't put up with range anxiety which must sound odd with me running a V8 🤣....lovely car though for those it is aimed towards.

Dent in wing
Duggie B replied to John Adams's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
Provided the ding is accessible from behind the panel a good dent removal person would be able to make the panel good as new. I can verify personally as my Mondeo some years ago was subjected to a dent on the shoulder of the near side passenger door I watched in amazement as the ding was massaged out of the door panel before my own eyes. -
Yes, I purchased through the service department, they set up the service plan which I now believe is a national one rather than dealer specific which would give you flexibility of where to go that suits yourself.
