(2005) LS430 BRC lpg conversion any good?
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Engine & Transmission
Just spoke to the installer and it squirts an oil (not petrol) 🙂 -
Hi everyone, Hope you're all keeping well. I'm looking into getting my Ls430 Lpg converted using a BRC lpg kit and has a system to protect the valves (not flash lube) something else still getting full details I think it's an electronic pump which periodically squirts petrol onto the valves /into the injectors to lubricate the valves. Has anyone had any experience of using a BRC lpg system before? I've had 2 lpg cars in the past too. Many thanks Tariq

Petrol mixology - mixing super fuels!
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
lol no man there's other factors at play which shows the same story of long and old. Those in power get away with paying minimal to tax which then places the burden on honest working majority (us). For example look at the city of London and London which is a separate entity itself a tax haven which propagates corruption. If you have the time this video explains one facet of it: Something simple like petrol is an easy cash cow for the government screwing over the majority of society especially when you consider the price is not relative to people's wages and inflation -
Top 10 Cars To Drive, You've Driven & Owned?
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
Thanks, yeah I've seen this video. Matt's really funny! 🙂 -
I've owned over 30 cars and driven probably close to 100 cars so far in my life. As I filled up today I thought the lexus is better than a ferrari! Albeit both used for very different purposes I'd imagine the novelty of owning one would soon wear off especially if used as a daily driver. There's a few cars I really want to try to see what they're like: Nissan skyline R33 & R34 GTR vspec 2 Toyota Century Range Rover Vogue L405 Jaguar xj308 supercharged Rolls Royce wraith Rolls royce ghost lwb Landcruiser 200 series 5.7v8 and 4. 5 V8 diesel V6 prado Have you driven these? From what I've owned and driven these are my top 5: 1) Nissan GTR R35 absolutely brilliant car so fast and crisp handling. 2) Lexus LS430 3) Lexus LS400 4) BMW e34 5 series in 3.5 and 2.5 both brilliant straight 6 very powerful and super smooth the m5 would be the ultimate version 5) BMW e36 325, great power to weight ratio, super stiff chassis and handles so well. 6) W140 s500 probably the best built car of all time built like absolute tank. In black (like my Ls430) looks evil! 7) Saab aero 9-3 9-5 cool car nice to drive 😎 Volvo s80 v8, T6 and xc70 built like tanks and elegant understated simplicity love them. The s60 which I had 5 cylinder factory fit bifuel (lpg) was brilliant and reminded me of a cross between a 3 and 5 series bmw 9) Toyota Landcruiser the best 4x4 of all time period. The un use them need I say more?! Such a great view when driving 10) Rav 4 great all rounder shame uk doesn't sell the 3.5v6 would be a rocket! What do you think?

Petrol mixology - mixing super fuels!
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
Thanks Las, Yeah you're right! Filled up with esso super unleaded (£25) tesco momentum 99 (£25), then today and shell vegetable power (£25) and instantly felt difference from throttle response - that, a placebo effect or all 3 super fuels work well together in this cocktail mixed together? Lol -
LS430 (facelift) 05 LPG Conversion Worth it?
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Lexus General Maintenance
Thanks Herbie, I think the system which squirts petrol is in place of flash lube. I see your point but it still costs to use flashlube. Who is your lpg guy I'll check them out? Thanks 🙂 -

The government are so greedy we pay 80% tax on every litre of fuel! Obscene! -
LS430 (facelift) 05 LPG Conversion Worth it?
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Lexus General Maintenance
Thanks Herbie, I think it's a newish system from Stag as petrol squirting on the valves. Is the gas better for the engine as the temperature runs higher? I plan to keep the car for a very long time as its been in the family few years since new. Yeah break even point would be about a year or so. Which cars did you have converted. As things change over time is Prins and Stag the best systems to use? I think Shell are going to stop selling gas due to lack of popularity - do you think it will be phased out eventually? Thanks 🙂 -

About 8 or 9 years ago I my 89 corolla I compared all fuels on a run and V Power petrol consistently got the more miles on a run despite the difference in price. I've got esso super in. Will put in v power this week to see if the mixture has any effect 🚗 -
Hi all, I'm thinking maybe next year to get lpg fitted. Do you know if the ls430 is good for lpg conversion? I know there's a system which squirts petrol onto the valves in place of flash lube which is supposed to be better for the engine and valves. Is it worth it in your opinion? Is the weight of the tank in the back bad for the air suspension? Has anyone had an lpg conversion done on your 430,how have you found it, anything gone wrong or potential to cause damage to the car in other way as its introducing something new into the eco system of the car? Many thanks 🙂 Tariq

With the accursed e10 roll out, filled up v power with some old shell E5 in the tank. Got down to a quarter tank then filled up with £25 of esso super unleaded as was horrified at the extortionate price of £1.49 per litre and didn't want to fill up. This got me thinking have any of you tried mixing say half a tank of V power with half a tank of say BP super unleaded? With the benefits of both fuels may have a positive impact?

E10 Petrol in September Are you switching to V Power?
TKhan430 replied to TKhan430's topic in Lexus General Discussions
I've generally stayed away from Texaco but I read today that the super unleaded have no ethanol too. Again, don't know if this applies today? -

Have you guys joined fairfuel spearheaded by Quinton Wilson? He has been campaigning for years to lower fuel prices. When I was in Qatar fuel was 20p a litre and that was after a rise! What is it about this government almost criminalizing drivers for driving cars!!? 🤔 -

E10 is at my local shell now 😐 Was hoping to get one more tank of shell E5 before September. Alas was not meant to be so filled the big bruiser up with VPower -
Hi everyone, Made a video for the layperson on how to check car tyre pressure. Maybe useful for some people you know please share 🙂 Many thanks Tariq

Thanks guys, Is Lexus Screenwash good? How much does it cost you? For tablets I'd dissolve in water and mix thoroughly before putting it 🙂

Usually use triple qx or polyguard as can get good deals on it. Spoke to my mechanic today and he uses car plan sachets. Just ordered some off ebay. £20 for 72 sachets (just add water) to make 5 litres - a no brainer! Plus having the sachets is better for environment and take with you in your car. Will keep. You updated what it's like when they arrive 🙂 What do you use?
