  1. Congratulations on your new purchase and to my mind the best colour of the bunch. Enjoy to the utmost!
  2. Perhaps this calculator will help, it also shows the miles per hour discrepancy: Wheel sizes
  3. Too many car related unknowns and personally I would advise the dealer you will be returning it for a full refund and on a given date and you expect confirmation monies will be paid into your account that same date. While you still have the car view and shortlist to one any other you might fancy. If you get your timings right, then hopefully you can minimise the inconvenience. I have to also say in all my years I have never seen/heard of track rod ends that cannot be removed/adjusted, these are all but considered "consumables". More likely there is something else amiss and you really should take full advantage of the consumer rights law(s) and ditch the car now!
  4. They even know where you live and manufactured accordingly, now that is clever. 😂
  5. Fantastic combination of inside/outside colours. If you are doing significant miles you'll find the car is particularly well suited to that task.
  6. Looking good and I'm sure you will be delighted with the car.👍
  7. Thanks for the additional detail. I do still wonder about the rear window given (I believe) it is bonded but then again they may have meant one of the rear quarter side windows. I'd be interested in how you get on with the Lexus link app, I've tried numerous times to get it to work and even phoned my dealer for assistance only to be told they would "phone back". Once upon a time the greatest untruth was being told, "your cheque is in the post", not any longer it isn't!
  8. Seriously, they had to remove the rear window!? Given the camera's boot lid location, then I am really struggling to see why on earth any glasswork would need to be removed. I would also have thought access to it would be an extremely easy process, so overall, I am very surprised to hear this might not be the case.
  9. That's a beaut and will surely prove to be a good investment. Good call getting it PPF'd soonest and well worth the extra cost. Enjoy it to the fullest. 👍
  10. Truly the greatest monarch we will ever experience. A remarkable woman, so absolutely dedicated to the oath she took so many years ago. RIP
  11. Great news and seems you are happy with the job. Time to get back in a take a drive. 👍
  12. Spot on Brett but sadly, as I also found out on the BMW and Jaguar forums, there's always someone from the "my willies bigger than yours" brigade leaving dumb comment(s).
  13. Indeed, there is some negativity and I think largely because of the car's transmission being something of a mishmash of expectations. A "conventional" 4 speed automatic paired to a cvt with the latter having artificial "gear changes" to simulate an overall 10 speed auto box. Yes it does lose the plot occasionally and when you've driven it a while you know when to expect, shall we say, odd behaviour, but for day to day use it performs perfectly adequately. Again I have seen some moan about the 0 to 60 time as if the V8 is twice as fast, when in reality the official figures suggest 4.7 for h and 4.5 for the V8! Don't get me wrong, I would love a V8 (and its phenomenal soundtrack) but preferably with the h's mpg. I'm also sure the extra power may come in useful, but I already find myself pushing the boundary more than I should and I think the V8 would seduce me to misbehave more than is good for my licence! FYI, the following is also a positive review of the "h" and by "Savage Geese". Given his credentials, someone who is probably more qualified to assess than many other reviewers. SG Review BTW, thanks for your submission, most interesting.
  14. Remember when I said a week or so that it would fall to £1.50...........
  15. Curiously, mine has been serviced by Lexus 4 times since birth and I can't find any mention of fluid change(s) on any service record. In fairness, the service info is a little lacking/vague in all regards. However, I have checked the water content with a "tester" and all is good, and the fluid colour looks fresh. For comparison, I also checked one other car and that showed a little over 1% water content. I suspect/hope Lexus just include the fluid change as per any mandated service requirement but from experience to be charged £45 or indeed (albeit only just) £69 sounds like good value and especially when I compare it to what my BMW used to cost. Who'd have thought it, Lexus trumping BMW!
  16. As I understand it, with no hybrid battery charge, you cannot start the LC500h engine given it is the electric motor(s) that turn it and not a conventional 12 volt starter motor as would be the case on say a LC500. Thankfully, I have never been put to the test to see how it plays out in reality. It seems the best solution is to keep both batteries charged using a combination of driving or given the 12 volt will likely discharge first, perhaps a trickle charger. The trickle charger is the approach I use if the car isn't going to move for a week or two. I've yet to get anywhere near the hybrid battery going flat, so for me an unknown scenario.
  17. A trickle charger is only going to charge the 12 volt battery which in reality may well be the first battery to discharge over time. The traction or hybrid battery is a totally separate entity and cannot not benefit from a 12 volt trickle charger. The hybrid battery is charged from the engine and braking. Attached is a pdf file detailing the traction (hybrid) charging regime. hybrid charge from user manual.pdf
  18. I forecasted £1.60 weeks ago but in light of the continuing fall in oil prices which are now lower than when Russia invaded Ukraine, I'll confidently revise that to £1.50.
  19. Just been out and checked both pouches and indeed the one that I had already identified as duff, still is! The second however is still performing its function. Given we now have another car with keyless entry, I think I'll do what I half considered first time around and buy a shielded tin/box. Now on the lookout for something that can hold and provide ready access to all four sets of keys.
  20. I've got to say my experience of these pouches has not been good. I was aware of reports saying they failed in service and unless you were checking their performance you would never know. When I checked mine and after 6 months of careful use, one had failed. This thread is a timely reminder for me to check the other one. Having said all that I religiously turn off my key fob by pressing and holding the lock button while pressing the unlock button twice. The pouches I bought on June 21 were these: POUCHES
  21. I had similar on one occasion when I let the battery go flat and the solution was to reset the seat. The process is remarkably easy, and I do wonder whether this will also solve your problem. This video shows how it is done and hopefully it will work for you.
  22. Apologies if I missed something along the way but if the video is attempting to show a 2-second delay in the extinguishment of the oil light then in a word it doesn't! The oil light (top left) goes off more or less instantly on the start of the engine! Did I misinterpret something? Ah, just replayed, and I now assume you are referring to the lower light which curiously looks like a second oil light.
  23. Cheers Ben, much appreciated. Hope the installation completes without too much head scratching.
  24. Many thanks for that photo Ben. I'm not intending to upgrade my sound system, but I can now see there appears to be 2 batteries in the rear. I half suspected there may be, and I am also intrigued to see a relay/fuse box on the nearside. Essentially, I bought a rear view dash cam some while ago and I keep meaning to wire it in. So it would seem I might just be able to find a switched connection in there. I presume the boot covers simply pull up to release?
