  1. So if AA is disconnected it will not fail over to a simple BT connection? On MM19 (2021 RX) if i disconnect AA, either in software or simply unplugging the phone (wired only AA connection), it will default back to BT. The BT connection does not get deleted. It will re-establish the BT connection to the multimedia system, I think, automatically. This seems like you MM21 owners should put in a bug report (feature enhancement?) for this. Although all of my bug reports have been acknowledged and.... ignored.... Paul
  2. And here's a link to the pdf of the complete manual: https://www.lexus-tech.eu/aimuploads/5b76a9e8-0ec7-4d68-8853-46b80d5dba39/PW680-10100-NE.PDF
  3. Sorry - I have just done a very long drive. I will look at the manual in the morning. Hang in there!
  4. You must have the tribeam LEDs with bladescan, which can direct the light, allowing full beam to be projected selectively, i.e. you can have full beam on, but the system will automatically blank out an oncoming vehicle to stop the driver being blinded whilst keeping full beam everywhere else. I have it in our RX and it works very well - much better than the simple auto high beam (i.e. on-off high beam) on our 2015NX. You can read about it here: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/how-does-lexus-bladescan-headlight-work/ Paul
  5. I have the paper user manual for thus type of hotspot in my glove box. I'll try to check tomorrow. Just tried to search for the pdf on the web but can't currently find it. There must be some pinhole button type of reset procedure. Paul
  6. MY15 NX ACC will also bring the car to a stop when following a vehicle, but cannot have a setpoint speed of under 30mph. I have no idea if the lower limit can be adjusted by the dealer. I think the gen 1 NX was the first vehicle in the line up to be able to do ACC to a stop... (Perhaps the LS could?) Cheers, Paul
  7. Merry Christmas, everyone. Paul
  8. Just looked up coolwalk. Looks like a big improvement.
  9. Andy, What did it fix? Did you notice anything? Paul
  10. In which case it is likely speed cameras notification still work!
  11. I guess it depends if "Navigation" means map database or the nav software... Be interesting to see... Paul
  12. Sorry just noticed it's an IS, so rear wheel drive. So is it the rears that are wearing the most?
  13. Kathleen, Are you saying you need to change the tyres every 12k miles? That seems far too low (but depends on the type of driving - town versus motorway, and of course driving style....) I can't remember how often we change the tyres on our NX but I think it is at least 25k miles on the fronts and much more on the rears. The NX has Yokohama Blue Earth tyres (which were the original OEM supplied with the car and we continue to use). On our RX it's about 25k on the fronts (and the RX is heavier so one might expect those to wear faster). 12k miles sounds way too short. Perhaps there is some misalignment issue? (I assume it's the fronts that are seeing such heavy wear?) Paul
  14. I was in Gatwick a few days ago and they have three V6 engined RXs in the show room ready to go..... I have had good experience with Gatwick, will DM you. Paul
  15. Great. Here's the Lexus explanation:
  16. This is what Peter and Herbie were suggesting you might be referring to. On our 2015 MY NX it's on page 624 of the manual under "If the shift leaver cannot be shifted from P". Not sure how the page numbers may differ on a 2020 NX. Paul
  17. Ronnie, Is this it? Paul
  18. back up for me now also.
  19. Yeap - seems broken at the moment... sometimes happens when they do an upgrade.... they are not good at doing seamless transitions from one system to another. On the plus side we may have more features in a few days....
  20. The best way to do a map update is to download the map from Lexus-tech and install it in the car. Don't use OTA updates - you can't update all regions using that method and it breaks speed camera notifications! I know of no way to change the regen settings other than through the sport mode in the gear box and changing into a lower gear, which would do more regen. But i don't think it can be done any other way. (To put the gear box in sport mode, pull the level to the right once it is in drive and then use the flappy paddles if you have them). Not sure on tyres... I'm sure others will comment. Paul
  21. Malcolm, this is disappointing to hear. My 2021 RX has Lexus safety system 2+ and it often gets speed restrictions wrong on motorways (from overhead gantries). I had thought that LSS3+ that you have on the new NX would have been a lot better than the version 2 system, but it does not sound too promising... Paul
  22. Thanks, Phil. Have a good weekend. Paul
  23. Phil, Let me know how it goes. I'll probably not get round to it until Saturday. Paul
  24. Just to let people know that new maps have just been released for MM17/MM19 navigation systems. (Autumn 2022/2022v2) There have been discussions about map updates on the forums for maps on the new NX, but nothing yet on Lexus Tech for those with MM21 systems. https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Navigation/base Thanks, Paul
