  1. No, not just yet. I am waiting for my release papers 😎
  2. You do raise John the interesting psychology of perception and how long-lasting llusions can be as in the case of MB. By coincidence the German chap Nietzsche said"all things are subject to interpretation. Whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth"
  3. Wish you were advising Sage William
  4. You are right my friend, I considered Cayenne but the cost of ownership was a non starter. Initiall acquisition manageable, after that too many unknowns. And its just not the costs its the sheer inconvenience of things going wrong.
  5. Really? Be interested to be updated as to how it performs? It's perfectly understandable why a temperature sensor may need location 🤔 but a battery monitor? Get outa here!
  6. That's an awful lot of words Linas, do you get paid per syllable? 🤑
  7. So firstly, the question was about Covid safe transactions not an ultra safe way of protecting your car from thieves for which there is, ultimately none. On the question of contraventions, yes, I agree, but look, ask the question, do you have a valid licence with no endorsements. Yes they can fib but use your God given judgment - does this person feel right? Secondly, re accompanied driving entirely your call. CV-19 makes things temporarily not as they were. So, don't advertise your car right now, or make a judgement call on your adherence to CV regs. Not difficult really - make a decision its as simple as that.
  8. No, but their quotes for a replacement exhaust and catalyst is amazing. And, for what it's worth I have asked if they have considered making a CatLoc? With their expertise in non-imported stainless it should be a breeze. 🤔
  9. Chap in my village is a small car dealer his advice is; 1-insist on sight of insurance document. 2 - insist on sight of driving licence with minimal contraventions. 3 - insist on holding the keys of the car they came in. 4 - agree the length of time if unaccompanied.
  10. Not entirely sure how to use Bridgestone tyres as suppositories, sounds painful mind 😫😫😫😫😫
  11. Amazon no longer selling this one for whatever reason. Also one of the reviews made an interesting comment re the software, that is, it demands your location is permanently on? Why?
  12. J, firstly, look up Kevin hunter the homework guy on YouTube, fantastic insights especially the one on Leverage. Secondly, following on from Malcs comment I believe there are thousands of vehicles on PCP contracts being artificially funded through furlough money. Unless we have a V shaped recovery this will have an interesting impact on 2nd hand values in the near future
  13. So in your opinion Peter is this a good acquisition option for a hybrid owner?
  14. Well more of GBS's comment on reasonable v unreasonable men 🤗
  15. As AA Milne once said," they say nothing is impossible yet I do nothing every day"😎
  16. Ray, different products. This thing doesn't charge only monitors via an app to your phone. It makes sure your secondary battery won't get to a critical state without you knowing
  17. Crikey Vadim, have medical professionals on hand for when you realise your car works as well🥳🥳🥳
  18. Does anyone have experience with this product? Just seen Ed China promoting it on YouTube and it looks ideal for constant monitoring AGM battery status on a RX, thanks 🤔
  19. Does the same apply to a four seat car vehicle when you only use one? Or a 4 bed house when there's only 2 of you and the dog 😱
  20. Changing ideas and opinions is a euphemism for propaganda for adults and brainwashing for children what is going on all over is grim. Limiting speeds for example in the Netherlands is just a way of "nudging" you towards self-driving cars. At which point the government will control how and when you can be mobile. Same with the acceleration towards a cashless society, someone else will be in control of what little money you have left after usuary levels of taxation. In terms of climate change there are lone voices out there like the GWPF who are valiantly presenting some real world data against a blizzard of misinformation and omissions. For example when did Sky or the BBC report on African nations planning 1250 new coal and gas fired power stations let alone China's 5 a month? But you are being forced to reduce your heating by sky rocketing energy uplifts and stop using straws. Consider, "Almost everywhere you look, climate change is having only small, and often benign, impacts. The impact of extreme weather events ― hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts ― are, if anything, declining. Economic damages have declined as a fraction of global GDP. Death rates from such events have declined by 99% since the 1920s. Climate-related disease has collapsed. And more people die from cold than warm temperatures" Quote from GWPF article, now you might argue against this, and that's a start, at least you are getting an opposing view.
