  1. For a woman to change her mind is her perogative, for a man to change his is pure purgatory
  2. Like someone from Texas who boasts that it takes him all day to get to the boundary of his land 😂
  3. Reminds me of the old Jewish joke, "I want to die peacefully and quietly like my father, unlike his passengers, screaming🤭
  4. But what style Malc🍾 and as the Americans would say, there reaches a certain juncture of maturation in one's life where cost is not necessarily the number one consideration.
  5. As part of a longer missive I opined thus, During my working career when asked what my ambitions were I often replied; To be a trainee eccentric. But it's only of late that I have come to realise that in fact what I was doing was chasing wisdom. In addition to Deming on that drive back my thoughts wandered to Greek mythology and the Lotus Eaters. Here they lived in eternal sunlit afternoons in a perfect state of mind and no concerns to disturb their contemplations and that's sort of like driving the RX. So it is Lexus in place of Lotus (apologies to Tennyson) from here on in and I anticipate wisdom insights any day now especially how to afford a series IV😎 And with a name like Nico I am sure he will "get this" 😂
  6. Jags-expensivescrap? My XKR is the same age as yours and appreciating in value, how about your LS? And Brits will always have a deep-rooted emotional attachment to the brand which goes way beyond transient talking points such as performance and cost😎
  7. Is your need to maintain your original spec or a practical one I.e. assistance with parking? If its the latter, on my Jaguar XKR I fitted a number plate surround incorporating twin sensors from a firm in Leeds. They come in black but I had mine painted to look less obvious. That was 3 years ago and they have been perfect.
  8. Morning Vlad, now I understand, you prefer swigging from the bottle 🥳🥳🥳 And I fully agree, falling asleep with a bottle far more convenient than a glass🍾🍾🍾
  9. I wonder Vlad what your definition of "normal" is? Some might see little difference between that and average. And I can't believe anyone on a Lexus site would be content with being average 🤭 The pursuit of excellence in crafting objects is an admirable aspiration be that in glassware, China tea cups, cashmere scarves, English leather shoes etc. And is for everyone not a titled few as it was some years ago. Speaking of crystal I promise not to mention Dolly Parton and her crystal chandeliers 😂
  10. That raises a really interesting manufacturing/marketing/philosophical/legal debate Steve. So from my perspective why not 5 or 7 or even 10? But then I realise it's the question that's wrong. It should be why have a warranty at all in the traditional sense? That would make an interesting sales pitch - "we don't offer you a warranty because you won't need one. " Bold, brave and unique maybe?
  11. Lexus Parts Direct, great price, genuine parts, fast delivery
  12. Thousand apologies - the lead is already having the effect,😢
  13. Linas, totally unaware of that😱 thanks
  14. So pleased you included those born on February 29th Malc - Best wishes Phil
  15. When you say"a round "30 was that your waist measurement then Colin? 😊
  16. Apologies for the delay Linas and perhaps you can help me, but I have been searching high and low for a comment that said, "thus the looks of a car doesn't matter" but have failed miserably. Nearest one I did find which superficially looked a bit like it but wasn't the same said, "It may just be me but I can't see the outside when I am inside driving so for all practical purposes what difference does it make" ......?
  17. In my case the boot opened from the dash button but not from the fob. Manual push switch worked but was really heavy to lift. Looking at the struts there was evidence of corrosion so I bought 2 from SGS Derby. At £70 not too much of a risk, took 5 minutes to swap and since then all 3 methods work perfectly,
  18. Sounds like the blind leading the deaf
  19. Very bad, my FT, after having read it has a second purpose, it's a higher class of wrapping paper for my fish and chips! But with the Rodius I struggle to find a first purpose.
  20. I did consider them but couldn't find any that cost more than a copy of the Financial Times 🤑
  21. Sorry butdidnt realise LOC allowed such filthy connotations 😱
