  1. I don't have a basin haircut thank you 😇
  2. Exactly so John. Toyota having outsourced the entire process to a world-wide third party the dealer is just the execution element and will have little input to the validity request. As a result they will be the butt of annoyed customers who are denied what they consider to be a valid claim, not a good look for the brand. I am just hoping the KPI's Toyota has signed up to include a huge dollop of customer Sat's.
  3. Yes, it's true, ratings can be retrospectively changed. I can see how, in genuine circumstances, a mistake from a seller can be made but as long as it is rectified all is good and a good rating awarded. In your case you got refunded by PayPal via Ebay, in my experience the system works very well, although the new system where Ebay has dropped PayPal for sellers is interesting. I am sure offering money for a good rating is out of bounds and imagine if you had a component problem and invoked warranty 😱
  4. Key stat to know would be how many cars running around over 100k with no warranty - I suspect a lot! So a good support ecosystem will appear as with most older/modern classic cars. However as I mentioned before I am equally sure Relax will encourage people to keep their cars beyond the initial 3 years, why not? The biggest depreciation hit has been taken so it represents very very economic motoring. The other possible implications are for the pcp/leasing firms who may end up offering longer contract lengths.
  5. And neither should it be🤕 it's a language, I suspect, most people aspire to as their second language, so the harder the goal the better it's appreciated. Unless, of course it's......... (fill your own blanks in} 🤭
  6. So there we have it! Commer, coma, comma, commode, commiserations on trying to learn the English language 😎
  7. I know I mentioned this before but if you want a lift look up Kevin Hunter on YouTube especially the one on Leverage 😎
  8. That was an old white van as I recall Paul so no is the answer 😂
  9. I am also in a coma Alan 🤕
  10. No John, the word is coma 😂
  11. I used to blame it all on the parents and the lack of proper use of an apostrophe, but I now see it has sunk to the level of the comma😱
  12. I, like you, Graham, have an agreement in place which I fully expect to be honoured until February 2024 in full and as described in the original contract to the letter. Now until we learn further there's no point getting our proverbial knickers in a twist is there? For new entrants yes, it represents a new proposition which for some will be a clear winner but for others not so clear cut. All I can tell you is, as a 21 year old jaguar xkr owner a whole ecosystem has evolved to ensure that support is readily accessible and I am sure something similar will arise here
  13. As I mentioned earlier on today the devil is always in the detail 👿👿👿 The one exclusion I particularly like is "Relax does not apply to vehicles that are not technically fault free" 🤔🤔🤔
  14. Has to be some trade-offs somewhere I guess. Be interested in knowing if gold card discount will still apply?
  15. I think the strategy is pretty clear, for new car buyers it is a huge sales differentiator for the sales exec and keeps the buyer in the family beyond the initial 3 years. An unintended consequence may be to depress new car sales as is happening with mobile phones because the buyer sees no reason to change. But maybe this will be more than offset by new customers with used cars 🤔
  16. I am about to find out! My car is being serviced right now having recently taken one out. 🤔
  17. As I read it Dave irrespective of where car was originally sourced and irrespective of service history? That's an interesting one to implement I forsee
  18. Don't think it's a catch as such, Reading the blurb speaks of 100k and beyond? So maybe no warranty beyond 10 years but service still available, devil is always in the detail
  19. Colin, apart from Roadside assistance what else is different to the extended warranty?
  20. Just writing the same thing 😎 key part of this strategy is to keep customers from straying after initial 3 year warranty. But this does make it a serious point of differentiation in an ever competitive market
  21. Just taken my car into Derby for annual service and the new offering - Lexus Relax has been announced which looks to be a composite of the previous offerings. I am sure someone will be doing a price point comparison at some stage but with Gold discounts they look competitive . Details available on line.
  22. Fantastic result Steve, don't suppose you might consider doing the same for a Derbyshire neighbour? Obviously the filthy lucre will need to change hands. 😎
