Disappointed with first service

Absolutely Peniole my point entirely , and if you can prove it get them charged. If a few cases like that get pursued through the courts it should persuade a few others not to do it. -

Interesting how quickly we all forget the dramatic effect CV-19 has had /is having on a business. Just read some of the Trip Advisor reviews to see how unforgiving some people can be. To say "no manner of apology would suffice" places you in very very difficult place and I would urge you to revisit the words of Epictetus 🔜. -

It's there John for all the cars by model.? After selecting owner reviews there's a brief hesitation then scroll down 👍 having said that it's a bit pointless, the RX ones have 5 stars but no words 🤔
-
That was exactly my point, far easier to induce false positive reviews from low value products in huge numbers. For example I bought a faulty product from ebay via China. I failed to get a suitable resolution from the seller and wrote a review pointing out the limitations. The seller then offered me a full refund if I withdrew my review and replaced it with a 5 star one 😱 I am sure you can guess my response 👍

I used the word "reviews" in a wider context Herbs I.e. any published comments. And again I ask the question, are they genuine?
-
I would definitely change your last word to definitely Herbs. 😁 As to reviews it's well known a huge number are not real but sponsored. A shame but there we are. However a £2 widget is a lot simpler to duplicate in volume than a £20k lexus

Bernard! A fellow cynic 🤣

As I said previously, just what is the motivation? If it's being used as an foc focus group that, in my opinion, is disingenuous. And I am unconvinced that people join the LOC as a channel for expressing dissatisfaction with the the brand/vehicle. In my case it was to understand more about my model and seek as and when advice from more learned people such as yourself. Do Lexus UK know of the LOC, of course they do, but I agree with you in that they show no obvious affinity with the club unlike say the Jaguar one. I believe this to be myopic in the extreme and does not engender brand allegiance which I have always thought to be the Holy Grail of marketing strategy.
-
I understand that John but they will be more than aware of the LOC so why set up an alternative voice for owners? That's why I am so intrigued as to the motivation. Unless of course the cynic in me might venture, to control the content?

Steve, if you believe it was a genuine oversight then they have apologised and fixed the issue so my question is, in exact terms, what more would you want from them? Mistakes can and do happen we all make them. I sense however your audi friend has thrown doubt in your mind about other aspects of the service carried out. Personally, and to quell those doubts go and sit down with the service manager and express those doubts I am sure that this will settle your mind. If, however, as some people on here are intimating that it was deliberately left out then don't go to Lexus go to the Police because its fraud. How many people with strong views have/would do this? Not many I venture, talks cheap Steve, so I hope you can see the situation for what it actually is. 🥂 -
Can never read that word without thinking of Benny Hill 😁

Just received email from Lexus advising me that they have launched a new iniative - Ask an Owner? Have many people received this, what are your thoughts? Mine is, why duplicate LOC?

In such a situation John I invariably find wisdom of the ancient Greeks helpful, in this instance Epictetus "When you are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger" And does the IPM still exist? In these days of English obfuscation parading as more meaningful expressions I expected a much more grandiose title e.g. Human Capital Asset Management or employees for short 🤣 -

Fabulous just fabulous now if only I could have done that when managing people 😂 -
For what it's worth Vadim I bought a silicone phone holder from ebay for less than a fiver and a long USB cord. Sits really well either in the display cubby hole or as I prefer on top of the drivers binnacle. I use a combination of Waze and Radarbot depending on circumstances both really effective and I particularly like the ability to user update for example if accidents are still on the hard shoulder. And of course take the details off line.

I am sure you are making a really interesting point but cannot for the life of me understand what you are saying 🤔
