  1. But here Don we are speaking of an individual case. So if the car was supplied and serviced to schedule then the garage must bear some culpability? I assume the failure didn't occur overnight therefore was apparent prior to 25k/3 years making the case for "not fit for purpose" even stronger.
  2. Welcome to being in the sticks (if you are?) it's not just loss of people it's also footpaths, street lighting, wide roads, public transport, garages and shops. And of course, consequently a loss of people 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳, what a joy 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. I'll gladly ignore the former for the latter 👍
  3. Very interesting first sentence Don, so what might be the variables?
  4. I've been using giffgaff (02) since it started with no complaints. They have an active user community so you could ask them the question, someone will undoubtedly know 👍
  5. Wow Graham, your double garage looks the same size as 400k bungalows around here 😁. And your lock-up looks ready to ship to Eastern Europe 🤣🤣
  6. And they say phones are a distraction to drivers 😎
  7. Change swonky? clothes to designer then. 😎
  8. A treasure hunt! Crikey Ed, I've heard of s****y clothes going to charity shops and often wondered about the matching accessories and jewellery. Now I know, there're in your recycling bins 🤣
  9. Quality Piers 😎
  10. But Brent, what exactly is your Goldilocks complaint? Too much, too little or just enough 🤣
  11. Steve, raised a new topic some time ago entitled "Today I'll mainly be moaning about ..., its been highly entertaining and generated a ton of amusing comments. For example today I just may well moan about people who didn't moan yesterday and won't tomorrow! 😎.
  12. Sounds like it should be on the Today I'm moaning about topic 😂
  13. May I ask who you used to supply and install your system? Thanks
  14. Yes, I read PW3 available in the USA but nothing here as yet, and concur with the rest of your comments 👍
  15. That's got the basis of a cracking topic Steve. 😁
  16. "The older you get, the more quiet you become. Life humbles you so deeply as you age. You realize how much nonsense you’ve waste time on.” Anonymous
  17. No there're not Steve, who can be absolutely sure unless you meant JRE? 🤣
  18. Great feedback Gang, thank-you so much. Yes, I note PW is expensive but it consistently tops out tables for performance, capacity, cycles, DoD, operating temp etc. And, it can go on an outside wall. And it's from a dedicated battery manufacturer not some recent start-up
  19. Thanks Kieran, and your comment on research-I'm getting there 🤯. I don't figure an EV in my immediate future but who knows? So my near-term thoughts are, it's difficult to see energy prices reducing in any significant way, conversely I don't see interest rates rising signicantly. A complete installation costs circa 12k or maybe £180 in interest if sitting in a bank account. As I understand things so far a pv&battery can reduce energy costs by 20%, ie in excess of interest which inflation is of course reducing as energy costs rise.
  20. So Bernard, the only truly dreadful thing is where is your dog!! The rest is just living with life 😎
  21. I drove back from Newmarket to Derbyshire in the storm of 1987, let's call it an experience 🤣
