  1. "I know the chap is an abhorrent excuse for a man"? This is so reminiscent of the story of the hotel night porter finding George Best in bed with Miss World, the duvet covered in money and asks George, "so George where did it all go wrong"? 🤣🤣
  2. Including all those antagonistic towards the West and intent on its demise?
  3. Thankfully the LOC welcomes a wide variety of contributions across a fullsome number of forums. In this case Lexus Owners Lounge. "He brought the office of the US President into disrepute before" that's interesting, I know it was between four and eight years ago but I can't recall the details, perhaps you could refresh my aged grey cells? 🙂
  4. In 2019, David Lamentable the Foreign Secretary once again attacked the Republican online: “Deluded, dishonest, xenophobic, narcissistic, Donald Trump is no friend of Britain. He is not fit to hold public office.” (other than that of President of the most powerful nation on earth). Confession I added that last bit 😱😎 Definitely top table material 😅
  5. Well, against all the odds the now confirmed 47th President Elect, Donald J Trump has prevailed. This has been an extraordinary achievement in electoral history. Having settled one question, can he win, to, now what? For me I am intrigued to see how he might affect the automotive world. Might his belief in energy independence over there end up over here I wonder? It certainly could be positive for the ICE world.
  6. Shouldn't that be nobbled? 😅
  7. Len, dear boy, maybe I can proffer the my thoughts? Firstly, The deciding England ODI from Barbados (the only purpose of owning a radio) isn't until tomorrow, you were a day early, Secondly, if you are seeking mollification of your oesophagus stick to English beer not some foreign composite indistinguishable from indigestible MDF 🙂 🍻
  8. Along with Rachel D'Arc? 😎
  9. Who is Frank Semantics? I've heard of Frank Sinatra is he a tribute act 😅
  10. Crikey Ron! That's a lot to think about on a damp Tuesday afternoon 🤔. In the meantime do you remember John Paul Getty the oil man? He attributed his success to rising early, working late and striking oil 🤣
  11. First salvo in who actually runs the country! 😱
  12. Let's hope this is the first of judicial challenges, farmers next?
  13. When given the opportunity to widen people's horizons I heartily reccomend travel and the writings of such sages as Warren Buffet, Deepak Chopra, Chris Langan and of course Thomas Sowell who opines, he has grave concerns over “the extent to which people who present empirical evidence counter to prevailing [social justice] beliefs, are met with ad hominem denunciations and with efforts to suppress their evidence.” Quite revealing don't you agree? 😎
  14. In the early nineties Tom Peters ex Mckinsey, led a revolution in management thinking - "In Search of Excellence" I recall his saying "If a window of opportunity appears, don't pull down the shade." 🙂
  15. Yes Len but did he do the corners? 😀
  16. Collective intelligence is used practically in a number of ways unfortunately not in evidence in current government 😅
  17. Contrary to uninformed belief NHS SBS is not wholly owned by Sopra Steria but a joint venture with the NHS. It is not mandatory to use the service but typically offer savings of up to 15% for users of the service. How they use those savings is unknown. In the same vein about emigration of doctors here is an interesting stat. Bear in mind this applies to ALL leavers, filtering out a specific destination and permanent residence as opposed to widening work experience is very difficult to confirm. "Figures from NHS Digital in England show over the past decade the proportion leaving overall has remained pretty constant at about 14-15%. Meanwhile, the number of new joiners has increased, leading to a rise in the number of doctors in the NHS" There are various estimates that believe Moses in his Exodus led up to two million people out of Egypt which is coincidentally the same number employed by the NHS. So I don't believe they all wish to leave but as it's now a form of religion anyone outside of the cult is fair game for criticism.
  18. I am inevitably reminded of Thomas Sowell who wrote ; Many intellectuals and their followers have been unduly impressed by the fact that highly educated elites like themselves have far more knowledge per capita—in the sense of special knowledge—than does the population at large. From this it is a short step to considering the educated elites to be superior guides to what should and should not be done in a society. They have often overlooked the crucial fact that the population at large may have vastly more total knowledge—in the mundane sense—than the elites, even if that knowledge is scattered in individually unimpressive fragments among vast numbers of people.” ― Thomas Sowell, Intellectuals and Society 🍻
  19. Great reccomendation!
  20. Aren't In Theory and In Practise two different things. 🙂. I defer to the films of Woody Allen in this area who claimed his films were like psychoanalysis. The only difference being he was the one getting paid. 🤑
  21. I am reminded of this Gray "After 12 years of therapy, my psychotherapist said something that brought tears to my eyes." "What did he say?" ""No hablo inglés."" 🤣
  22. This may explain things to you Gray. Psychologist Susan Krauss Whitbourne explains, “Wanting to have the last word is very much related to the attack-mode mentality central to destructive conflict resolution, in which you take on your partner rather than the difference in viewpoints the two of you have.” 🤯😱
