  1. I’ve just been online and found the same one with the same code which is a Lexus oem one. Would that be a straight swap @Bob99
  2. I started I’ve done it but need the battery now
  3. I’m going to buy a new one I just want to know about programming
  4. So my Lexus IS 250c 2009 the TPMS battery is dead. I took it to kwik fit for them to install their own tpms sensor. They tried to register it and said they couldn’t as they didn’t have the right equipment. They also said I need a genuine oem lexus part. They said to buy one and they will install it. Will this be a plug and go or will they be able to register it ?? They said they usually take the information from the old one to the new one but as my one was dead they were unable to do this. Please can I have some help and insight on the matter ???
  5. I’ve found this on eBay and very tempted to get it. My worry is the quality of stainless steel. As all Lexus exhausts are claimed to be stainless steel it may. It be shinny shiny and chrome finish but it doesn’t have to be to reach the criteria. I’ve done a lot of research. As I own a Lexus IS 250c the exhausts it different to the is 250/ due to the back end being at least 50mm longer. I’ve found this one on eBay and not sure if to make the plunge and go for it. ??? Any help ?? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193396739941
  6. All done and fitted, very quick simple job and will inform insurance. gains are little noise is nice very nice and it has increased abit I feel and feels like more power on the throttle. driving in sport with PWR on with the paddle shift I can definitely feel more power. So everybody who had knocked it and said not worth it does nothing ?? Buy it fit and then tell me !! Then we talk 😂
  7. I’ve just ordered the oem fsport intake kit .... it’s arriving Monday! I went against the k&n for the cleaning and Lexus giving me grief with my extended warranty if something failed @Linas.P @DanATR
  8. yeah it does seem concerning with the car still revving while cruising felt strange but I liked the extra acceleration power .. but I guess it’s there for a reason so I will use it for fun... Yeah the car is well maintained and looked after. It had a leisurely life till I got my hands on it 😂
  9. Yes I did notice this as I could hear the engine racing in a lower gear and sounded very concerning . mid it bad for the car @Linas.P it doesn’t sound like it’s doing the engine any good I just used it along the 30pmh roads not above 40mph where I was able to.
  10. Oh does it not the way I was driving to day my fuel gauge went down quick 😂
  11. Found this today in my Lexus is 250c i flicked it on put in sport and used the paddle Shift and nearly gave myself a heart attack the extra power it gave and raw to the engine
  12. you get what you pay for , those £60 ones are probably crap they may look the same but i always think buy cheap buy twice or more
  13. that sounds like a headache yeah i think you could be right, I've done all this way back from Vauxhall corsa to mercedes 190 and even my hyundai coupe but i did keep my mercedes omg clk 320 factory. it has full service history and I've still got extended warranty till 2023 so don't want to make it void either. think I'm just old trying to be young be youthful through cars. lol i am only 37 lol
  14. yeah i see this last week when i was looking lol but this K&N one is specifaclly enginered for the lexus is 250 engine its not some cheap bolt on
  15. @ColinBarber yes i would be buying new and direct from supplier. the filter is good for 10000 miles. but i guess it would get filthy as its exposed and not boxed in like the oem from new
  16. @m4rkw engine light??? this is an exact part specifically designed for the lexus is 250 engine, check the website and see the pdf https://www.knfilters.co.uk/69-8701tp-performance-air-intake-system
  17. After all the comments I still think I might go ahead and get the K&n I’ve not heard anyone me say they’ve got one jus negative views. It’s only money and it’s fun playing around with cars 😂
  18. @m4rkw it has full service history had oil change done in January and plugs changed at 63000 miles in 2013 and the car is currently on 97,000 Also I have extended warranty till January 2023
  19. @m4rkwHaha I’ve got Michelin’s pilot sports 4s they are good enough 👍🏻
  20. Yeah I hear that , the ECU units are locked in these Lexus is 250 engines as well I understand how they work .
  21. Oh really that’s all ? It says it offers extra 12bhp ? Yes louder raw and. ive found it cheapest £316 but even that’s a lot. I have seen and posted videos where you can modify the original box by cutting a whole and removing the fins to make it the equivalent as the f sport.
  22. Has anybody modified the air intake with a k&n induction kit. I’ve been looking at this one. But want to know results and if it’s worth the money ? @scudney @Mr Vlad
  23. @true blue I contacted my local Lexus approved dealer to do that one panel would be £500 but they would like to do the whole roof and charge over £1000 then said if deals and rubbers need changing that would be extra. But they would just do the centre panel for £500. Waiting for 2 more estimates
  24. @Mr Vlad this is my roof
  25. The way I removed them was spraying lots of WD-40 inside back and front and saturating, leaving for 5mins to soak, use a flat bladded screwdriver and lever the inner clip then using a rubber mallet tap the outer and then wiggle using your hands and pull off.
