  1. The welding does look off but then again it might be extra welded cos the edges might need to be reinforced more. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163085024957?_trksid=p4375194.c101949.m162918 Does this one look as good as that £350 one?
  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155591919531?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=08wd2d_LTpW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mSSQnZpqRem&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY What about this one to me it looks similar to the first link but £100 more
  3. Thing is I'm after the silent one same as original don't want any noise.
  4. You reckon the one in that eBay listing looks good. I see some silencers in 3 separate pieces not joined like you said. But that cost £350. I just hope it is silent like it was before.
  5. My right hand side silencer has a hole near the back edge and the temp bands won't last long. Mechanic said worthless welding because it will just come back again. Anyone know the best option to go for. Hard to find used ones I only need one side. I found stuff like this on eBay but don't know if they are any good. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265966163556?_skw=is250+silencer&epid=11057415480&itmmeta=01J9B661Q8261HHXJ9RPA4HFC3&hash=item3decd19664:g:BnsAAOSw1itj81CI&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKmz6%2B%2BFPn0mXVrLKw9hIs%2BaR5qguecPpQhG%2BEmU8yIPb50BAc4Ew65VeeryjsbnCuLbSR%2ByxblxorSbU7amKJ0VmqQFNzMR3R9X9Jwm9off1Z6bqnqIMmFZsaMZbPyX1ORZWtdm2mKXRaHoAtNdQVCnFF6zSbYGIWYv4mdb5LSmQHm1y6tEBl%2BjfQLsk%2ByiZY8Uf8lnBa1TwBOTMGDMtXVjURc7jaNu8EWNf9gCuiaSMndKa077EqNnU0MsqobrhHM%2BGdqZmFGUqOverhEqbcKoA839Mh2QhNy6I%2FXUTAAxmw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABFBM3JuY5spk
  6. Never heard of this setting I will check with someone's device
  7. You put Assymetric 6 on. I find the steering heavy compared to other tyres even at 38 psi all round. How is your steering? Maybe I have some sort of suspension issue I don't know. I had a similar cost of ownership thread as well. Maintenance very similar to yours with lots of mechanic mistakes costing me up to £600 extra. I recently bought a Ford Mondeo diesel 2016. What a mistake. Problems with Turbocharger and potentially other things. I appreciate the Lexus drive when I jump back in to it.
  8. For anyone who has this problem. I have SOLVED the issue. Using a voltage meter I tested all the fuses. Lots of help around the internet were indicating it could be RADIO 1 or RADIO 2 which are in the engine bay. Others said RADIO 3 which is under the drivers side fuse panel. It turned out to be the ACC fuse which is 7.5A under the drivers side fuse panel. According to the documentation it was for the clock, mirror controls and other things. Hope this helps someone.
  9. Before I replaced the passenger side mirror I must have shorted something because I was trying to tuck the electric wires from the door mirror inwards. Radio and climate control and door mirror control functions are not working. The climate control backlight is on with a solid line at the bottom. The hot air seems to coming out but can't control it from buttons nor can I see anything. Radio and clock is off. Replaced passenger side door mirror. The puddle light comes on as per normal when you go near the car or car is unlocked. Tried replacing radio1 + radio2 fuse nothing. Radio 3 looked blown to me but replaced that as well still nothing. I am not sure which fuse is for the mirror control? Anyone have any clues?
  10. Bit of a downer as well. Hit my passenger side door mirror as some other cars door was open mid road. Cracked mirror. And bits and bobs came out. Lucky mirror still folds in. But need a replacement anyone know of any genuine replacement mirror with the backplate?
  11. I would want to visit the Isle of Skye someday I used the Wynns Specialist E10 Protector. I can't say anything about it except I hope it did something in there. But like Linas said, can't see how a few tankfulls would do any damage. It's long-term use of the stuff that builds up the water. Vlad posted some stuff from Millers. Just used Millers oil in the IS250 and I think the oil is meant to be top-notch so probably can trust this brand. I probably would not waste money worrying about a 2-3 tanks of E10 so don't waste your money buying protection.
  12. I went Scotland for the NC500 in my IS250. Down there I found pumps Unleaded 95 without the E numbers. E10 won't hurt I didn't notice a difference in performance I must have used it twice at least out there I think I filled up 4 or 5 tanks worth in my whole journey.
  13. 2 mechanics said suspension looks fine and solid. One lex specialist. Calipers no issues. Car seems a bit more rough on the roads and more bouncier than before. Can feel more of the road and the bumps then ever before. I got a slight feeling rear suspension spring or something is not right or worn. But visibiliy looks fine. Mechanic said only 1cm difference on one side from the other (rear) when measuring ride height. Just feels a bit boaty and a bit rough. Had wheel alignment done from quick fit recently about 2 months ago. Reverse gear on turn sometimes hear a clunk rear left. Anyone got any ideas or had similar issues? More or less brand new tyres last 4 months Goodyear Asym 6 always pressured correct.
  14. Found an exhaust issue today. Was not intending to look for this issue but was looking at the clunking issue. At that backbox has a hole in there. Does anyone recommend I buy the unit (back box rear right) or can I just bandage this? I did wonder why my car sounded a bit louder than usual from the back.
