Here we go again on performance! Its not a slow car it has the same 0.60 as its rivals you may think its not as it obviously not as torquey as its turbo diesel rivals. No its not a performance car but its plentiful and will match its rivals. In sports mode only. You all can say its slow but I've also owned c class, audi a4 and bmw 3 series all with 1.8-2.0d and it'll keep up no problem. Dont let people put you off. Its got most of what most people want. Great car. Try it and coming from what you have previously you won't be disappointed.

Reserve it! They don't hang around long. I missed out on one by a week for waiting but luckily found one somewhere else just make sure the service history and battery health check all backs up!

Hi Gary, like yourself I've owned various cars ranging from Mondeos to all of the german 3. I bought a is300h 3 months ago. Going from previously owning a BMW 320d, I took the leap to lexus and its the best move I've ever made. Mine to is a 2015 model with 50k on the clock. I opted for the Executive edition in Pearl White. Its a great spec example and has pretty much everything you'd need. I stayed away from the F Sport as the ride quality tends to ruin the experience for me anyway being too harsh. My nearest dealer is 40 miles away which is no problem as its just another excuse to enjoy another ride out. Lol. Brilliant car you won't regret it if you want a top luxury quiet relaxing drive. Stick it in sport mode and its a completely different beast, will give you a lot quicker throttle response and probably leave a smile on your face!

Make sure your headlights are on. Then go to display settings in your infotainment screen and you'll see a daytime mode which only shows when your headlights are activated. Click to turn off and it will display in night mode when required.

I was under the impression that keyless entry was standard on all is300h's. Try holding down the unlock button on remote for a few seconds. As I'm sure this activated my keyless entry.

I agree that it is not a performance car yes, it never was suppose to be that's why I think the F sport is a waste of time. But I don't agree with you that it can't keep up with its rivals....it can and I've done it.

Well let's agree to disagree! You've your opinion I have mine. I don't know if you own one but i do and if you watch all the reviews relating to this car you will see that it does keep up with its competitors. I have one and have had the competition as well so may be mines just a one off then. As I say let's agree to disagree.

Absolutely agree, if you want a sports performance car buy another brand. All I can say about my IS300h is as you've stated, its refinement and driving experience. Its also nice to own something you don't see every day on the roads. You have to be a certain sort of person to buy one of these, or just fed up with the competition. I was fed up with looking at every other car on the road being the same as mine. Thats one of the reasons I took the plunge. For me its got everything!

The Is300h 0 - 60 time is 8.2 secs not 9.2. Check your research. I've owned BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Jaguar. I've just part ext my BMW 3 series and that had a stage 1 chip to 200 bhp for my is300h. The lexus is a far better car and holds it own in sport mode against all of the above. Yes its a 2.5 but it doesn't matter they are the cars its aimed at! If your such a Lexus hater/moaner then why are you a member of this site. Yes we can all see that if they wanted the is300h to be a sports car it wouldn't have a limited top end of 120mph. But its not a sports car. It a luxury car but has enough grunt to keep up with its competitors.

Why do people slate the performance of the IS300h? Yes its pickup in economy mode is not the best but that's the point of it. Put it in Sport mode and floor it , even use paddles and it keeps up if not faster than most in its class. Well mine is anyway!

Hi Everyone, Just bought my Lexus Is300h in Pearl White, Executive addition and all I can say is best move from my BMW 320d I've made. I've had every German car going and must say its great to be different and own something that doesn't get seen much on the road.....luvit!! Steve

Thanks Ian appreciate the reply. Too be honest I only notice it sometimes when exiting my drive as its a hard left but if I'm slow enough it doesn't do it!

Hi people, I am new to the club and new to Lexus. I have just bought my 2015 Is300h with 50k and loving it. Its in Pearl white, Executive Addition and only one previous owner being an leased with Full Lexus Service history. My question is when I drive off on full to 3/4 lock to the left I sometimes experience a knock coming from the passenger front. This doesn't happen on all road services and in general drives perfectly with no knocks or rattles. Its like its skipping a bit from grip. Does not do this to the right or in reverse. I still have 3 months warranty left but the garage I bought it from are quite a distance away. Is this a problem or the nature of the car. Thanks
