  1. I must admit they did send me 2 video tours of the car, but neither are close enough over the roof to show any damage, plus as I say I didn't really notice outside at first.
  2. Hi Sajid, No the earliest pictures I have are from beginning of June when I started to notice it more outside. It does look worse in the pictures & is only about the size of an old 5p piece, I just don't want it getting any worse.
  3. Hi Len/Paul, I park in my garage from 5pm until 7am every day, the remaining time it is in a works car park with no trees, so I know it definitely wasn't picked up in my ownership. As I said it was there very slightly when I picked it up in Feb this year, but has got worse over the summer, maybe the sun has affected it? My local dealership have offered to try & polish it out for £85 which I have forwarded to the selling dealership last Tuesday, but no response yet. I have tried Meguiars scratch remover, but it hasn't touched it. I am concerned too much work on that area will wear through the clear coat. I will give the selling dealer until the middle of next week to reply, but I am sure they will say it has been caused by me as I didn't report it until 6 months after purchase, I do have pics from June when I noticed it getting worse.
  4. I have a small blemish on my roof that has got worse over the summer. It was there when I bought the car, but as I could only just see it under my garage lights I didn't report it to dealership (bought as pre-reg with 6 miles on the clock), but over the summer it has got worse & I can see it in the daylight now. I took it to my local dealership & they are saying it is not covered under the warranty as it looks like bird lime stain. My concern now is that it will flake like yours has? What do I do now that they are saying it's not covered?
  5. Sadly, I saw an NX on the hard shoulder, on the M2 on Saturday afternoon. A very unusual sight! I am sure he only stopped to pick some wild flowers for his Mother.🤣
  6. I filled up yesterday, brim to brim & it worked out at 48.3 mpg in my IS300h, that was motorway driving from Kent to Derbyshire & back, plus running around up there.
  7. One thing is for sure, if you have it serviced by Lexus you will get a free one year warranty with it & also with subsequent services. It may be worth sticking with a main dealer?
  8. Welcome, look forward to seeing some pics of your steed.😃
  9. If you keep your finger on the unlock button it should wind down the windows etc, if not it will need to be programmed.
  10. I would guess if the original key did then the new one would. If it didn't, it would need to be programmed to do so, depending on your relationship with your AD this may be free.
  11. I had the same issue when I bought my IS300h, I spoke to my local AD who didn't supply the car & they turned it on for free, so certainly worth enquiring.
  12. At least the weather should be nice to drive about for the next couple of weeks.😃
  13. Oh dear, that not good. How long will it take you to get back to 1/4 of a tank? I am on about 1/4 now & I am wondering if it is worth me filling it up now.😕 Does it give a range of years that are affected?
  14. It looks very good, glad you are pleased with it.👍
  15. Welcome Andy, look forward to some pics when you get time.
  16. Hi Bev, welcome to the forum. I too moved across from a V40 the D4 SE Lux model, I now own the IS300h & have changed my driving style to suit a Hybrid, it really didn't take long. Anyway enjoy your CT200H & I am sure you will, but don't forget some pics if you get time.
  17. Great, glad no offence taken.😀 I bought in 2021 not 2018 so I compared apples to apples. A new IS300h with a new C Class Merc, a new A4 & a new BMW 3 series. I don't know what years they started or finished, all I know is that they were 2021 models & were all a similar price. You seem to keep moving the goal posts & comparing to a model that wasn't available new when I was looking i.e 2018 BMW 3 series. So from my point of view & that is what matters to me when buying, the new BMW was comparable in 320i spec!!!! As for the IS Exhilarating performance, if I take the IS300h around some roads where I live it puts a smile on my face. See meaning of Exhilarating. To me that is not misinterpretation, perhaps your expectations are different from mine? That doesn't make it a false statement!!! 😃 exhilarating /ɪɡˈzɪləreɪtɪŋ,ɛɡˈzɪləreɪtɪŋ/ Learn to pronounce adjective making one feel very happy, animated, or elated; thrilling.
  18. I was comparing a car I bought this year with its equivalent rivals at the time, not 2013 to 2021 models, just what was on sale at the time. Yes the the IS is intelligent sport the same a BMW is the Ultimate Driving Machine, but not all BWM's are that Ultimate.😀 I have never owned a Lexus before this one, so I cannot compare, but what I can do is compare with what I was looking for this year price & power wise & the IS300h holds its own, trust me. Have an enjoyable afternoon & I hope I haven't offended you in any way.
  19. Well Linas, I think you live in a dream world my friend.😃 Look at the Merc C class AMG line, Audi A4 S line tiptronic & BMW 320i they are all very similar prices when specced upto IS300h spec. Here is the BMW 320i SE Pro with the bits my Is300h has. YOUR CONFIGURATION IS COMPLETE. £38,055 How is that not comparable to the IS300h??????? I can get you more from Audi & Mercedes if you require, I know because I was testing them before I bought my IS300h & I was speccing them to an equivalent standard. I knew the IS300h was a 2.5ltr engine, I just didn't realise that it was supposed to represent 3ltr with the electric motor. I didn't really matter because I was happy with the power output from the engine, to me it was never ever sold a racing car!!!! The same as the 320i is not sold the same as the 330i!!!! Lets just agree that you have your view & I have mine & we will never agree.👍
  20. I never bought the IS300 expecting it to have the performance of a 3ltr, I didn't ever realise that is what it meant? As I say I did compare it to other makes with what I class as similar powered, but the IS300h I thought was just a slightly better experience (obviously just my view). What I will add is that I am very impressed with the fuel economy for the size of the car.😃
  21. I have just returned from a 600 mile round trip using motorways, A roads & B roads, the computer is showing 48.6mpg which I am very happy with. As for performance I think the IS300 is great, enough power to get you out of trouble & it handles really well. I think it compares well to Merc C class, 3 series & A4's in performance i.e. 20l.tdi's & 1.8l-2.0l petrol motors.
  22. It looks very nice, classy as well, enjoy.
  23. It's funny, but I just can't see execs driving around in SUV's or hatchbacks. Maybe they will not have a choice if all manufacturers decide to pull the plug on saloons?
