  1. The description says that there is a light on the dashboard saying "check hybrid system". Even if they say that it drives perfectly I would prefer to know what it refers to.
  2. On the Italian forum for hybrids (hybrid synergy forum) many owners of the new Yaris are complaining that the GPF is often blocked while driving in the city and at low speed, this causes ICE not switching off with increase in fuel consumption. It seems that after many complaints Toyota is investigating the problem.
  3. If you are not concerned by the fuel consumption, it could be good but I leave it to Linas to give you a more competetent advice.
  4. Because I prefer the GS450H I found these 4 below in the range of your budget. Mileage between 88k and 122k https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?sort=relevance&postcode=bt11aa&radius=1500&make=LEXUS&model=GS 450H&include-delivery-option=on&price-to=6000&year-from=2006&year-to=2008&maximum-mileage=125000 I would choose one with Mark Levinson radio which I could not find clearly in all of them except the first (Sport) and the last one (SE-L).
  5. It depends which are your needs: do you prefer a saloon or a suv? Do you want it hybrid or not? I personally prefer a hybrid saloon and indeed I am looking for a GS450H.
  6. Have you tried partfinder.ie? https://partfinder.ie/vehicles/LEXUS/IS250/2004_2019
  7. I forgot to tell you that after al,l the total price for importing it would have been 19-20,000 euros (price of the car + VAT, customs, VRT, travel expenses to get it, etc.) which is the same amount that in Ireland would buy a 3-4 years old Prius with 60-80K km. So probably it would have been worth importing the GS, but Lexus Sheffield would not have kept the car for me for months even if I had paid a deposit to secure it and wait until it would have been allowed to travel to Sheffield to get it.
  8. Thank you Phil. If in Ireland there was half of the choice that you have in England I would have probably already bought one. Unfortunately at present there are only a few with a lot of miles on them.
  9. I received a video from the seller showing all the annual stamps in the service booklet. The car belonged to an elderly gentleman who recently passed away and he has barely used it in 13 years. Always serviced by Lexus Sheffield.
  10. I have been in touch this morning with Lexus Sheffield for that GS. Unfortunately there is no dealer in Ireland which can help me with the importing process. I was willing to make a financial effort considering the outstanding condition of the car but I have to give up. Anyway after considering all costs it would be really too expensive to import it: 6,700 euros on top of the price of the car. Too much.
  11. I read it but this does not prevent any battery from failing even if it is a rare event. Anyway the OP was only asking how much it would cost to replace it.
  12. I think he is only wondering if it happened that the battery needs to be replaced.
  13. Hi Jacob and welcome to the club. I think a new battery should cost between 2,000 and 3,000 £ but others may be more precise in this. Anyway if you change it you simply give new life to the car and can drive for a lot more miles. Replacing single cells is surely cheaper if you find somebody who would do it but of course it may happen that you replace one and after sometime another one needs also replacing, but this does not necessarily happen.
  14. I will be 50 in May.
  15. I was also considering importing a GS450H from UK, but it is too late now. I should have done it before the Brexit.
  16. Welcome to the Club Daz. Nice car yours. Is it black or blue? Was it cheaper to buy the CT from Lexus Glasgow than in Ireland?
  17. If I can add: A 2006 GS450H is 1.809 euro a year to tax (2,900 to buy) A 2009 GS450H is 750 euro a year to tax (9,000 to buy) A 2021 RX450H is 280 euro a year to tax (87,600 to buy) A 2019 LS5000H is 400 euro a year to tax (94,995 to buy) A 2004 Prius is 413 euro a year to tax (1,000 to buy) Does it make any sense a system like this? Basically the Prius is taxed more than a 2012 RX, more than a 2019 LS and more than a 2021 RX even though is polluting less, has a much smaller engine and especially is a lot cheaper obviously.
  18. For those who do not know you may try traynors.co.uk for spare parts, they are car dismantlers in UK. Sorry for not saying earlier but I just read this discussion.
  19. I wonder in which roads you would unchain 483 horsepower😜 I think for me would be already a big shock changing from my 1.5cc Prius to the GS😵
  20. Isn't the service at 60,000 miles one of the most expensive because of the spark plugs? I would have preferred that it had been done by Lexus.
  21. I have contacted the seller, the car was always serviced with Lexus until 53,000 miles but the last service was done by an independent mechanic. Any comments welcome. Thank you
  22. This one just appeared, I think it is a SE trim. What do you think would be a fair price for it? I am more interested in a SE-L one though. Thank you https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/lexus-gs-450h-hybrid-mark-levinson-62k/27609126
  23. I have counted 13 on Autotrader between 08 and 2011 and some even high spec SE-L. This one below has the sunroof https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202103230502282?model=GS 450H&advertising-location=at_cars&year-to=2011&postcode=bt11aa&radius=1500&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&sort=relevance&make=LEXUS&year-from=2008&include-delivery-option=on&page=2
  24. Steve may I ask what was the mileage in yours when you bought it? Thanks
  25. Welcome to the club of those interested in a GS. I am also looking for a MY 08-11 but I think you will soon find one being in UK. In Ireland they are so rare.
