225 35 19 front 255 35 19 rear it depends on how low you will run you may need to grab a heat gun and roller the bumps out of the inner archers at the front
Ok because I have 225 35 18 on the front with spacers 10mm. When I had 235 35 18 on the front with 10mm spacers I got rubbing.

The wheels are 17inch x 8j wide 45offset and 60.1 centre bore on the original wheels...
but you don't want to use offset 45 the fitment of the original wheels on Lexus's IS horrific...
For reference the size of my wheels is is front 19 x 8.5j and 45 offset and the rear is 19x9.5j and 35offset
***** you will agree Fits the car much better
Looks good. I'd go for 19s. What size tyres do you have on fronts and back? So you get any rubbing when you turn your front wheels?
Also do your back tyres rub under load?

Hi Marlon, I would use this link for alloy wheel information:
https://www.wheel-size.com/size/lexus/
just find your car and it will tell you everything there is about the wheels.
Thanks

I struggle reversing out of a narrow drive in the dark. I have the rear lights with the “L” shaped reverse lights. They are not very bright and was considering wiring in a pair of led daylight lamps under the number plate to come on when they do. OR is there a better lamp that will fit and not melt my lenses?
I just seen this add on facebook for super bright LED reverse lights

I'm gonna go for some aftermarket wheels.
Does anyone know what the offset of the original front and rear wheels?
I want to make sure the offset matches the official front and rear wheels.

No, they were only available in 17”
I'm after some 18s in a similar style. Maybe I should change the colour of the ones I have to black

Yes indeed - standard alloys for pre-facelift cars (have set of these myself). It is nice that you have them refurbished as these were notorious for bubbling-up and pealing away (issue with primer). If done properly your alloys should last you forever (or until you kerb them).
In terms of your allows - I would say they are just black, maybe they have little bit of metallic flakes in them... just cannot see in the picture. In this case they would be black metallic.
Anthracite in my books would be looking like this:
In terms of costs - Anthracite used to be considered "premium colour" in days when all wheels from factory been in that "car alloy silver colour". It used to cost ~£10 per wheel to have them in Anthracite over silver, but nowadays many cars have something similar from factory so many places just consider it to be one of the standard colours.
FAW are really good. I think I'm gonna go there to look for a new set of rims. I got my spacers from them for my car. It's really good

Maybe I can get the colour changed on my wheels. These are lexus 18 NX alloys in my is 250

So finally got her in today and the mechanics could not fault anything. Checked callipers, steering rack, wishbones, everything. Only suggestion was hitting end stops so all greased up and time will tell?
Good news no costs involved.
What is hitting end stops?

Thank you. The garage will have a look. I'll send them these diagrams. Thanks

I went to the garage. They didn't have a spare car for mentoring use so I could leave my car overnight. I'll get it sorted and let you know which one it is. Thanks

Millage is 138k I had it serviced when I bought it. It wasnt making the noise at the time.

I hear this noise when I start the engine (cold start) the noise gets quiet as it's running. The colder the start. The louder the noise

I came to the Lexus from a Honda Accord and one of the very few disappointments was what I felt was inferior lighting. I asked the Lexus dealer if my IS250 could be upgraded to the best available bulb - only to be told that it already had them!
Having then discovered the Osrams, I thought I’d do the upgrade myself. The manual specifies both main and dip as D4Ss but gives no fitting advice, other than to state it should be done by a dealer. After watching some YouTube videos of people struggling to replace main and dip, this seemed to be good advice.
So I bought two sets, main and dip, took them along to the Dealer and settled down for a long wait. Well, fifteen minutes later it was all done. And one set handed back to me!
it seems that my model doesn’t use two bulbs, as the specs suggested, for main and dip, but one bulb for both with an electro mechanical switching system. I had no idea - and of course there’s no mention of it in the manual because it appears to be the only bulb on the car that Lexus don’t want owners to replace. I wonder why?
Incidentally the Service Manager was sufficiently impressed with the bulbs to want more details about them.
I never heard of the bulbs switching. I have osram night breaker Lasers d4s. Do they switch?

Do you have more pics of the car?

Very nice. I will always have a soft spot for these cars. Part of me wishes I kept it as a daily.
Are those NX alloys? I’ve never seen them in a 2IS.
Mine was one of the first with the DRLs. I had the F Sport front lip added by the dealer along with the GFX spoiler.
They are Nx alloys. I don't like them. I want all black alloys. I will either swap them or buy a new set of black 18s when I can afford it

Yes, viewing in person is the only real way. I agree they are relatively rare cars though.
We had a facelift IS250 SE-L for 8 years in that colour and I loved it.
Our RX 450h is also in that colour, although it looked a slightly different shade to the IS when we had them both parked next to each other.
Wow. I have a 2010 model but I dont have the headlights you have with drl. Mine is an fsport. I tinted my windows and had the paint detailed. Put vlands on the rear. I want to change the wheels for 18inch black alloys.
-
Dunno mate. Should be looked after. I guess you have to have a look in person
I have one in the same colour. Once you get it professionally detailed they look really nice.
-
Seen this add on facebook. Looks well looked after if anyone is after one. I know they are very rare in white. Probably the only one in the uk for sale in this shape

I'm using Perelli P0 Nero GT tyres and they are amazing. So light and really good in the wet too. Not sure what they a like in snow. I have really good fuel economy. Lots of grip. Engine doesn't have to work hard with these tyres. Very quiet road noise.
