Here it is better. 5 years every time. At least so far. Missed renewing at 70, did not before 71 and the new one was to 76. Renewed it again and got 5 more years. Come to Las Palmas. Perfect place to retire. Good weather all year. No winter (maybe one or two days on top of the mountain) never cold at night, sometimes a bit hot in days. Congrats, you are still young.

Idiots are all over the world. Brand new (3 days old) Nissan 300ZX needed repaint on door as somebody liked to key it as you describe it down to the bare metal. Should that be reason for us all to be driving around in an old rusted piece of unsafe car?

That is probably correct. Lexus is not making the maps and if not selling a lot of them, buying the maps cost more than they make selling them even though they are horribly expensive, Lexus is not making money that way. I bought the update map in November and instead og getting a 2020-21 (which has been sold on eBay since October at least) I got a 2020. Lexus here on the island does not need to have service of quality as no competition is closer the 1.2K km on a boat lasting 2 days and boat fare costing more than the Lexus map. Instead of buying maps it is cheaper using a smartphone. Not funny having a loose phone floating around. Still have an old Garmin to put on windshield with a suction cup with free updates of maps, but having the loose power wire is not fine; Is there anything that can put the maps from the phone on the built in screen, via Blutooth or USB connector?

Or maybe Lexus realized they are light years away from having a functioning navigation system and updating it is not possible?

Anybody know if such an update is available or coming to CT200h 2016 Luxury/Premium? Would mean that map update from Lexus would no longer be needed. They would lose money? Strange thing.

With the price for a colur changing car there will not be many to search for.

That is true. The new road is faster and more secure, but I do like the old road with beautiful sea on one side and mountains on the other. Fun to drive there in the MR2 Spyder and Smart Roadster Coupe. Really a place for go-carts. But top of the mountain is beautiful. No tourists and peace and quiet. I miss it. Fresh air and funny trails.

Do not know any mods, so no problem there. I think it looks different and interesting and I suppose it is some kind of protective foil that probably is resistant to little chips from stone and pigeon poop.

What does such a wrap up cost?

You want more power: Let intake air go through air condition at full cooling. That will give a few HP. Problem is that running the air condition cost power that is taking a few HP away.

This is not so bad. Problem is that they put the steering wheel in the wrong end.

We live in Las Palmas up north. Have skin cancer so do not go out in the sun. Before finding out: 2000 m up in the air, above the clouds. Probably where the skin cancer came from.

That would be excellent. Only thing is that we have a rather new lexus and with the reliability of these cars such help would hopefully not be needed the next 20 years. 😂 😷 🤩

Keep it that way, is the best advice I can give. I was in a company selling these and we had them in several cars. No more power at all.

I do not have an IS but have had several power cars with different size front- and rearwheels. Only power cars where same size front and rear are usefull is 4-wheel-drive. Most extreme I had was a "home made" (not really street legal) with 205 wide front and 285 rear. When going to inspection with the car I had 185 on all 4 wheels in order to let it drive on streets again.

Have never been in one of these new cars, but believe you are right. Cost cutting is destroying quality. Do not like the plastic around the wheels either. Maybe our next car should be an 8 - 9-year-old well maintained one (8 - 9 because hybrid battery warranty)? If that is not gone because of cost cutting too.

An awful lot of money for something that only makes air intake sound louder. Extra power maybe ,1%.
