  1. Sorry and again sorry. In my eyes Lexus make fantastic looking, comfortable and reliable luxury play toys. But no track cars. I am not you, but maybe you could be happy with one of the best from Lexus for luxury and comfort etc. and have a real track car for personal fun. Below a few of what I would call track cars: It is possible to get a hybrid, but have never had such a one on track:
  2. Don't worry. Be happy! My little one like to sit in the car while driving through the soap sprayed on, the water blasting and the brushes flying round and finally the air is roaring to blast off the water droplets and that is making me happy.
  3. Up and then down again is possible on the CT. Not that 180cm needs it up and not that it is too high for 168cm, but some people are much taller and would still be able to sit in the CT (with seat in the lowest position) and for those a bit up would not be a bad thing.
  4. Now we have had the car long enough to know more about how much it does consume. On short tours and mostly around in the city with hills up and down it is a bit more than 7L/100km if following the traffic flow. If not feeling too ashamed about delaying other traffic, and occasionally having somebody honking the horn at us, it can get down to a bit more than 6L. On longer trips on highway and mostly flat areas no problem getting it down to around 5L which is as good as a Golf 2.0tdi DSG but far more comfortable. Having a card to BP we have been using their fuel until lately when I read somewhere in this forum, that Shell has something in their gasoline that cleans the engine, so tried that. Do not know if it is correct or just a coincidence but it seems that the engine (gasoline) is making less noise. Will continue with Shell a while to see if it is correct or not, but one thing is true: the gasoline from Shell smell very different to the BP gasoline (both 98 octane).
  5. We have same opinion about politicians. All they care about is getting money for nothing and being re-elected.
  6. Who told you that?
  7. I don't know. Most of the time on my bike it is off road where nothing wider than perhaps a motor bike can go and not even a 4 wheel motor bike. On the way I pass places of beauty people can only get to walking or on a bike, though most people will have a hard time getting there on bike.
  8. Volvo is not really having security flaws? At least not the older models I know of. Several years since I was in a Volvo, but a friend of mine has one and once when a little lady hit his Volvo with her Renault 12, that got rather damaged, and she asked if he needed a report to his insurance company, he looked at his car and said: No my friend. No problem at all. It is a Volvo.
  9. Why? Do you want some?
  10. Pretty sure there are other things you do not understand.
  11. 90 is more than enough. Never saw other my age ride up there on a rather heavy bike from sea level. My bike buddy used to be pro.
  12. Headrest is maybe not the correct description. I suppose it is there in order to prevent damage to the neck in case the is being hit from behind. For me 180cm and my wife 168cm it is perfect.
  13. Absolutely. Everybody is right. In something. Maybe. Few have the privilege to be 25 for more than 50 years? Correct? Maybe not.
  14. The Lexus cars I see most here are old IS diesels. Also IS gasoline. Hybrids are mostly RX here and on the lisence plates you can directly see when they were registered. first. Few UX with the funny rubber plastic around the wheels. Do not know if Lexus will stay on here as price is not the big problem for many here as I see far more new Ferraris than the expensive Lexus models.
  15. Do you know of any company in Spain able to do battery restauration? Not that I need it now, car still not 5 years old, but Lexus service here is non-existing so good to be prepared.
  16. I was hooked riding my mtb uphill from sea level to top of the hill here (2000 m above sea level) until had a few skin cancers lumps of meat removed. Above the clouds, air is fresher and, on the way, up the birds fly faster than I could pedal, on the way down the swallows were flying around me. They really fly fast. On paved roads I was now and then faster than 70km/h. I miss it.
  17. Do not remember seeing brake dust. All braking must be done with refilling the hybrid battery.
  18. We take out car to the petrol station, drive it through the automatic washing machine and it is more or less clean. Wipe the rest of the water off with a couple of leather like towels ot whatever it is. 15 minutes, including controlling air pressure inn tyres now and then. Have done that with all our cars. Never polished a car in my life. Car looks good. We are satisfied. While selling/working with Fujitsu-10 audio equipment (only 3 years), when a car was to be exhibited, we let somebody polish it.
  19. I have no problem remembering to say : 25 Another thing. If you hear or say something often enough you may end up believing it is the truth. Finally: do not believe anybody over 30
  20. I am answering, when asked about my age: 25 years. For more than 50 years now. I do not like people should believe I am not trustworthy, so stay truth to what I have said. People that say different things constantly are not to be believed.
  21. Herbs is just changing this into something worth reading John.
  22. Sorry Herbs. You are not that old.
  23. You should have been my teacher very long ago. School would have been funnier. You do spread light.
  24. I read about this service here on the forum and asked where I live. Was told: no such thing exists here.
  25. Sure. All cars are. In different ways.
