Today I read: Remote key battery low or something like that. Was changed by Lexus service 6 months ago. Rather short life for a Li-ion bettery. Seems Lexus/Toyota are selling old batteries at tripple price of fresh from supermarkets. CR1632

Keep the one we have in normal mode. Except when late, then sport gain a couple of minutes. Believe Lexus/Toyota know so much about the cars they have veen building so long that when they call something normal, then it just could be - normal.

I hope that when the CT is to be retired, some better ways to travel will be available than cars with batteries (that are hard on the environment to make) and fossil fuel engines. Hope for some kind of combustion engine spewing out drinking water to irrigate plants on the way, and that the fuel to these engines can be made without damaging the earth. May not happen in the lifetime of any of us, but can still hope. The human race has destroyed so much with its greed for power, that someday the human race could have been run. Pink Floyd?

Our 2.0tdi DSG 2005 Golf was cheaper around town as well as on longer tours. When not going faster than speed limits the VW used 5 on highways on tour from Spain to Denmark. Never tried that in our CT, but believe it could be close. In town where we live the Golf was around 5.5 and always less than 6. The CT never come down to 6 in town. Mostly 6.5 - 7. The hills here are not good for hybrid as going down just a short while and the hybrid battery is full and power is from there of wasted when braking, while going up the engine is running constant. Here diesel is cheaper than gasoline. There are other drawbacks on the diesel such as black smoke coming from exhaust pipe when going up, but with no other interests than consumption, diesel win here. Not fair to compare a 2005 diesel with a 2016 hybrid. Comfort the CT win 10 to 0. Have had many other cars, but before fuel was something put in the tank when needed. After retiring economy does count also.

From Italy on the way to Spain in 1984 we went through Monaco. Wanted to eat somewhere, but no parking place to be found so we were hungry all the way to Spain.

Looks good. Never thought a Lexus RX could be that cheap though. If you are not car expert, I would ask one to come with me looking at it.

The some of the Citroën had poor quality air suspension, great while working. MB 50 year old air suspension cars are few, but never heard of problems with the suspension.

From Lexus parts the rubber alone cost: The rubbers on their own are £33.52. And Lexus here on the island put Bosch on.

They have them in 26 and 18 as needed for the CT, so if Lexus here is impossible to get just the rubber from I think I will buy the Icon wipers. Long live the landfill of just like new metal parts for windshield wipers.

Got the answer. The rubber is as expensive as complete with metal. Lexus is stupid to make people buy more than needed.

This is the front doors film: https://www.llumar.com/automotive-film/types-of-automotive-film/clear-window-tint Have UV Monitor and tell me that when UV outside is 12 behind the glass it is now 0; wihtout film only windshield has UV protection on almost all cars. Looking out the front door windows is same as the windshield without film. Other doors and sun-roof have a darker film, but not more than it still is possible to look out even at night. Looking in through rear door windows it is not easy to see who is inside. Llumar film is recommended by us. Lexus here wanted 450 Euro for just the 2 front doors.

Well. These are with metal and I just want the rubber. Do not want to add more landfill than absolutely needed.

When did DAB radio come to all CT cars? Or only to Luxury etc? Don't know if I have it as never listen to radio. The ML is so good for quality music that I listen to that all the time and only traffic radio interrups now and then. Have to turn that off.

I have transparent Llumar UV protection in front door windows and all other windows (except windshield) including sun roof a little darker tint. Llumar has dark folie as well but here it is only permitted in rear windows.

Never listen to radio, but sometimes my music is disrupted by traffic announcements. Must be pre-installed in settings somehow.

Why not ask Lexus parts for just the rubber? I did that and expect to get an answer Monday.
