  1. Maybe summer tyres next time: https://www.midas.es/presupuestos-online/neumaticos/detalle/neumatico-michelin-21545r17-v91-primacy-4-xl-s1-b-b-a-68_MIC_21545A37 B for consume instead of C for the CrossClimate and even lower noise. Rain is as rare here as it is common in UK: https://www.midas.es/presupuestos-online/neumaticos/detalle/neumatico-michelin-21545r17-w91-crossclimate-xl-c-a-a-69_MIC_21545A28
  2. £ or € ? Here it is 1.24€/L. (V-Power - Shell) One gas station still sell 95 octane at .99€. You have to wait in line though.
  3. the car looks great. The sounds are not to play while driving as you would fall asleep. was my comment.
  4. Something like this: https://www.spyderchat.com/threads/for-sale-tte-europe-corolla-t-sport-supercharger-kit.157241/
  5. All is possible, but as explained above the Lexus navigation system sucks and that will be expensive if original. Garmin is far better. So is Google maps. Some sytems from China are possible to build in if a built-in system is what you want. We have the original navigation, but if we need navigation to go places where we would need to be guided we would rely on the smartphone maps.
  6. From 2017 manual: Nothing about green light.
  7. In the one we have the light comes on if something is not correct. When it is OK there is no light.
  8. You cannot blame them. They do what all insurance companies do. They will first give you a good offer when you tell them that you are going to change from them to competitor.
  9. We are happy with the car, and when getting it back from service about a month ago, to the question if our consume was too high, the answer from Lexus was that it is completely normal.
  10. Lexus tell us that 215/45-17 205/55-16 195/65-15 is correct for 2016 models. If the 17" are found too harsh 16" will be softer and 15" will be "granny" soft. All come with the price you have to buy new wheels. For us 17" are the right thing, but in the forum here many have told that Michelin CC+ give a more comfortable ride. On smooth pavement most tyres are OK and the CT is relatively quiet. We are happy.
  11. In year 2000 Danish journalists (who did not believe the claim from VW) took a Lupo on a tour to Paris and back and found that the 3L/100km was indeed possible with around 90km/h. Why should Lexus 16 - 18 years later still not be telling the correct consumption? Lexus make better cars than VW and Lexus does not have to be so stupid. Volkswagen Lupo 1.2 TDI 3L Fuel Consumption (Economy), Emissions and Range Fuel Consumption - Economy - Combined: 3 L/100km 94 mpg UK / 78 mpg US Fuel Consumption - Economy - Open road: 2.7 L/100km 105 mpg UK / 87 mpg US Fuel Consumption - Economy - City: 3.6 L/100km 78 mpg UK / 65 mpg US Range : 1133 Km or 704 miles Fuel Tank Capacity : 34 L 7.5 UK gallons 9 US gallons CO2 emissions : 81 g/Km
  12. I just do not like dishonesty. 2016 - 17 - 18 ads were 3.8. Not even with fan and A/C off that is possible. Downhill and wind coming from behind is not what we have always. Lexus makes great cars and should be too good to tell something that is not correct. Lexus CT 2021 claim 4.4L/100km = 64.2 MPG UK. That might be possible with fan and A/C off if driving flat road 80km/h for a whole tank full. https://www.coches.net/lexus-ct-18-200h-eco-5p-electrico-hibrido-2017-en-las_palmas-50139357-covo.aspx
  13. Did not before notice what the question was. Range for a tank (around 40 L) should according to Lexus ads be almost (1040 km) 650 UK miles. Lupo from VW should be able to drive 100km on 3L diesel.
  14. I do not know. Probably, but you have to ask David. It is his car.
  15. This is what a full wrap can look like: I like it. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/128344-bored-with-red-so-i-had-it-wrapped/?&page=3#comments
  16. Thank you David, Yes OK.
  17. Seems like the creamy thing used to clean ceramic hob .
  18. The sensitivity of the dipped beam can be adjusted so it comes on with more or less surrounding light, does function fine, lights up when in a tunnel and when it is getting dark; always have setting on automatic. Never had high beam coming on automatic. Do not know if the CT has this facility. Never needed high beam as dipped beam (LED from factory) lights the road enough to drive even in mountains here.
  19. Long time ago when I was working for Mercedes there was some new stuff to clean valves and more in the engine. 2 dirty taxi engines needed to be cleaned and one was with the new stuff (that could have been Redex or something else) and the other with carbonized water (agua con gas ( I live in Gran Canaria now)). Both engines had a lot of smoke coming from exhaust pipe and both engines were controlled. Valves were clean in both and the water was by far cheapest so that was being used after the test.
  20. When mudflaps were the new thing they were made complementary, not having them would be fined. Then forbidden. Then again complementary. In Denmark.
  21. A new car looks like a new car until it is out on the street. Some can keep them a bit longer, but I gave up more than 20 years ago. Wash it in a drive through wash and it looks OK. No longer new, but OK. 20 years ago (or maybe more) tried to keep it like it was when first seeing it in the window among the other new cars. Keeping a car looking like new is a job for professionals. At least I find time too expensive to try to do it myself.
  22. I also imagine Lexus lamps are better than many. Only thing that is better than plastic is the good old glass lamps. 18 years and still new.
  23. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-e10-petrol If so, why would some put in Redex or other stuff that will only make driving more expensive? Whatever government (no matter where in the world) is telling, we should be careful believing it. All in charge are only working for their own best, and care little about us.
  24. How much the fins will help stabilize the cars with the speed we are allowed to drive might be very little. If on the other side the fins help reducing wind noise Lexus is far above competition.
  25. E5 - E10. What are they doing to us? Need to buy something that pollutes in order to lubricate the engines when using E10? What is the environment gain if it is so? Here we have V-Power and E5, so far has not seen E10. Price is up about 10% since last month, but still cheaper than many other places. Is 2016 - 2017 CT OK with both or is it a gamble? And just found out that buying from UK is close to impossible now on eBay. Will not send to me here outside the EU-VAT-zone. Brexit just got worse for us. For you it might become catastrophic.
