On the phone: Turn on Bluetooth on Android phone Go to mobile hotspot and internet sharing Turn on Bluetooth internet sharing. In Car: Go to settings - Bluetooth - Chose you phone and turn on for phone and audio That transfer the phone list to the car and it is now possible to phone from the car (it is still far easier from the phone as the software in the car is clumsy and not at all logically made). Receive calls from steering wheels contact, hang up again does function just fine.

Don't forget global heating. You are soon going to wear shorts all year long. Summer tyres it is.

Welcome to the forum. Sure you will be happy with your new car. You will get used to not having to reach for the gear shifter. And will be very happy with not having to change gear, especially when in slow moving traffic. There are many competent people here in the forum that will be happy to answer questions.

5 years is not much for a battery in a hybrid if car is used regularly. Your local Lexus should give you a good price. Original is the way to go.

I doubt that all the expenses and pollution sources will ever be included. See that the oil industry is being blamed for trying to sell oil (not informing the pollution level they knew was there, just like the cigaret/tobacco factories knew that smoking was not healthy) while the problem is that the politicians are and always have been too stupid (or corrupt) to figure any such thing out themselves. We pollute and as has been said before - private transport in cars is so little part of the overall pollution that even if we reduce by 50% it will not mean .05% in the overall problem. The politicians meeting now are going to do what politicians always have done: Nothing.

Natural mineral water cost .90€ 5L. Does not need to be mixed with anything. Just pour it in. It tastes well and I'm sure the car like it. Tap water here is desalted sea-water so not nice to drink. OK to wash in.

Had a kit-car with 185 front and 235 rear. Rear wheels were spinning a lot; more power than weight. 2L Porsche engine 650Kg car. Depending on driver a rear wheel car with much wider rear tyres should have good tread depth on all wheels but if slightly less on front wheel steering can be adjusted with engine power.

It is good to be happy with a new car. After the description I am going to have a look at one next time I have an excuse to visit Lexus. Not sure they have ES there though. SUV seems to be what is being sold most and even though a CT is a micro-SUV (at least not a sedan) and we are happy with it, these big bulky SUV things are for transporting big bulky things and not for comfortable bringing people from where they are to where they want to be.

Good luck. 40K kilometres without changing oil is much, maybe oil has been changed by the owner in a non-Lexus garage. Is global warming coming to you up there? Down here it is warm as always and now we have a volcano erupting a few hundred kilometres away.

Welcome to the forum. Leather seats in the CT are not leather from animal, but synthetic. Very good but not leather no matter what Lexus calls it. The ML audio is great. We are very happy with the CT we have. Buying a car in Sweden and using miles? Swedish miles / UK miles? KM? Reason for servicing yearly is to keep the hybrid battery warranted longer than 5 years. 12V battery is needed only for starting the computer and if a new is needed it is not a very expensive part; Lexus in Spain charge 115€ installed. One of the few things Lexus has that are not overpriced. If price is right for you, and the car looks fine it should be good for many more kilometres.

Service yearly. For the hybrid battery. Lexus is not a cheap car to get serviced here either. Neither was the Golf while still under warranty.

Just looked at https://toyotamaps.online/ 75$ is quite a price. If you have like in the CT 2016 a micro SD-card it is about 40£ or less on eBay quite often. Unlock car - key away - 5 - 10 minutes - card out - card in - navigation updated. So I was told by one selling maps. Will do that next time if I will update again as I find the navigation system so poor and clumsy to use that I think an old Garmin Nüvi (free update for life) or Google maps are so much better that using the navigation in the CT is wasting time. Don't count on that. It takes a lot for these companies to get desperate. And remember: Government get a bit more each time the price rises.

Play your music from reliable sources. News from radio is mostly - no good news. Have you heard in the radio that someone had a nice weekend or that everything is just fine?

This is the best advise you will get from anybody anywhere. It is what we would do if / when the battery in our car needs to be replaced.

Lucky you in UK. At least when talking about Lexus. Here I have heard that the warranty is 10 years if car is serviced by Lexus. Asked about extra / prolonged warranty, got negative answer.

Cleaned it a bit, and checked the air in the tyres Yes, Lexus also has a seat for children but far below the quality of the one from Hyundai The car was serviced by Lexus not a month ago; they did not clean the air-intake-filter to hybrid battery.
