  1. Is that part of service? If not: where is the sensor and is it easy to clean? Just got car back from service and new filter is (according to invoice) installed.
  2. hoya en-route lens Interesting. Reduce glare from oncoming cars with a filter is possible, but having a filter extra in order to see more seems not very logic. The more filters the less light coming to your eyes, thus reducing vision. Hoya make great filters for cameras in order to create effects, but beside that never heard of Hoya. Oncoming cars with Xenon and LED can for most be not comfortable and after the popularity of SUVs with high placed lamps are more common. What is shown here is what I would believe can be called marketing bull****. Top picture right shows more visibility and same time reducing red (brake?) light from car in front. As lenses are not prescription, they should be possible to buy on-line, but have found no place selling the en-route lenses. With regard to adding LED to a car that has not LED from factory many have answered that before: not recommended. The CT models with LED light have fantastic light so I believe yours is with halogen. That correct adjusted lamps are not blinding does not make installing LED in a car that does not have LED from factory legal. That the laws not always are logically made changes nothing.
  3. We have between 35 and 40 mpg. Temperature here is mostly above 25° C often 30° C or more and right now when it is cold 20° C - 25° C. Lexus here tells the consume is normal. Mountains cost fuel going up and when going down battery is full immediately and the rest of the way down the energy that could have been put into a battery is just waisted - battery is full. Comparing to other cars comfortable as this, it is more than excellent. 45 mpg is excellent for the comfort the CT give us and above 50. Never had a car consuming so little. Once VW had a diesel car they claimed could consume as little as 3 litres/100km - 94 mpg UK - 78 mpg US. That was with special narrow tyres, one person in car, driven by an expert. Was working in a company selling cruise controls and we installed a lot cruise controls in the Lupos. All owners said they were great in consume, not as claimed from factory though. They were bringing people from one place to another; nobody I talked with, who owned the car, found the it comfortable. I only tried a few of them to control that the cruise control did function OK. Was not impressed. The CT is great and if it gives you more than 40 mpg, I doubt you can find another car as comfortable and reliable that will consume less. Next tires for us will be Michelin Primacy summer tyres. Only thing not super positive is the price. https://drive55.org/tires/michelin/primacy-hp/
  4. We have Pirelli P7. The roads here are in all kind of states. Some with holes dangerous to drive in and some are well maintained. On the bad roads we hear the noise like expected. On new roads there is hardly any road noise. When needing new tyres, we will put on summer tyres. Less noise and temperature get down to 15° C in winter when it is "very cold" so all season that are a compromise between good summer and good winter tyres are not really that smart. In the place where you live all season make sense. It is stupid to change wheels every time the temperature shifts up and down. 2 cars would make sense in UK as well as many other places. If it was not for the cost of convenience.
  5. Being not happy with an insurance company would make me look at another. Ask around. Here they all want new customers. 205/50/17 is close to 2% larger. 195/50/17 is about .2%
  6. Not much negative to write about the CT. The negative you have read about the CT is probably not from a CT owner. One of the most reliable cars. Have had many cars and some were faster, some having more power, some were more comfortable plus more expensive. For the size of the car, we find it the best we have had. Room for 4, comfortable enough for longer tours (not like the electric that are limited by their range, and the real range is hardly what the factory informs), reasonable consume, fine finish and depending on version either good or fabulous audio. Look at the rarity of a new post on the forum concerning errors. Compared with even other cars from Lexus, the CT is one with few problems. No car is perfect for everybody, but the CT is among the very best.
  7. I sometimes wish I was back in the MR2 Spyder when driving the CT. Not often.
  8. Original spare parts very often are worth the extra price paid.
  9. Some places they will not let you drive if you do not have such:
  10. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Should I cry?
  11. All cars can drive in snow. Not all drivers. Practise is useful. Living in Norway gives you practise. Went through the high road from Oslo to Trondheim in a VW Beetle in winter. On summer tyres. Stupid me, but no problems. 1970 something. Also, through the mountains from Spain to France in a snowstorm in a Nissan 300 ZX. Do not remember which tyres. Standard Nissan 3 months old. 1984 - 85.
  12. It seems that Google Pixel 6 is not one of the phones many have in the forum. If it was some would have answered with some kind of help.
  13. So, you eat meat with fruit? I do not. Once every 2 or 3 months I eat a "solomillo de ternera con papa grande al horno" because I do like the taste. That is all the meat I need and only because of the taste. Fruit in abundance and vegetables. Meat is needed to live - no, that is not correct. I am more fit than any I know half my age. One of my friends won this race some years ago: https://laultra.in/ he was less than half my age then. 222km. One of the best restaurants in the world went vegan. Do not think their food is tasteless.
  14. Chilli = vegan. Wasabi = vegan. Fruits = vegan. Vegetables = vegan. Mineral water = vegan. Some without taste buds will claim that mineral water is taste free. Few will say the same about any of the other examples mentioned above.
  15. Do not know what a Ploughman is and ale and cheddar are not for me. Did a Google and found that there is a traditional and a modern. Most of it looks OK. Meat is no longer among the food I eat, but cheese is so delicious that I'd rather not go all vegan. You can moan about that.
  16. Next car for us could be a Toyota Mirai if we do what we have planned for while now. Looking for a place to live with a bigger garage.
  17. Cheddar is no camembert. French cheese is mostly great. They do not serve French cheese cold as French cheese generally taste good so it is not needed or it to be cold in order for you not tasting that it tastes of nothing. They also have a red wrap-cheese, meant for children and those who do not like the taste of cheese.
  18. Disagree! None of these are crap.
  19. Lexus has never been among the most sold cars, but among the most reliable when asking owners.
  20. You have enjoyed time there, I am sure. Andalucia is nice but a bit hot in summer if not having air condition.
  21. All that is to see from license plates is when it was registered. Wonder which brand will be the "most reliable" in 10 - 15 years.
  22. I have seen many old cars still driving, but too many of these have roofs looking like this May be the sun here is stronger than many other places. The hole in the ozone layer is supposed biggest over Greenland, and never have messured UV higher than 11 here. In Denmark I once on a cloud free day saw 12 in the UV detector. 5 - 6 is not good to be exposed to without some kind of protection. Maybe the same with cheap pain used in some cars.
