  1. Careful, I once wrote that your PM was a jerk and was rebuked by a member of the forum and lectured that he was the best mayor of London and the best and most honest politician in the world.
  2. You are politically un-correct. The real name is lobbyism and not corruption.
  3. Do not believe you will live long enough to see that as it probably will never happen.
  4. You are one of the few in this forum I consider to be better equipped with intelligence and knowledge than, well yes, the vast majority. That some here consider you to be a tinfoil hat is because you do not have the same opinion as them, and that is not something to be sad about. The average IQ should be 100 but is probably closer to 90 (Mensa scale). That is the only explanation I can see that makes so many people believe in all the information that is served to them. Keep writing and tell what you think. That is one of the reasons I'm still reading elsewhere than on the CT200h site.
  5. And you think we willingly shall give them more info than they have already? This is the place to get info not always given by all Lexus dealers.
  6. Why pay for something that can be made for free next service? Double WHY: why install apps on phone to let Google and others take all you private date and sell them? Or have a phone without any data in to have all the apps on?
  7. Not from Lexus original?
  8. Change bulbs in the rear light and the sound outside is gone. Now only inside the car. A bit annoying, yes.
  9. Just wait till electric cars are more common than now and expect problems, not only with batteries. Maybe already this winter.
  10. And when stopping on a hill the CT does not roll backwards the first seconds you release the brake and not as it old times needed to use hand brake to not roll back into the car behind you. Smooth acceleration, few cars have anything similar to the Hybrid gearing in Lexus/Toyota.
  11. If main concern was economy, there were no reason for us to go from VW Golf 2.0tdi DSG. The CT is not cheaper in fuel as the old 2005 diesel was. Comfort, more comfort is something else. Not that the VW was not OK, but seats with electric adjustment and memory for 3 drivers (we only are 2), fantastic audio (ML) built-in navigation (found out later it sucks) sun-roof, folding mirrors, rear-camera, cruise-control, automatic control of vehicle in front with brake assists when needed plus something I probably forget to mention is more than reason enough to justify going from VW Golf to Lexus CT. For us at least. We are all different. The CT has had nothing failing on us and only need visit Lexus to get service to keep hybrid warranty.
  12. The beep can definitely be heart outside the car.
  13. Sounds nice. Do you believe all the government tell you? I do not. I have my information from friends that work in hospital.
  14. Do not think so. It seems not needed.
  15. 3 weeks ago I was in the airport to receive a friend coming from Denmark. No control for me going in there, no control for my friend coming out of the airport. No control in hotel. After 2 weeks back to airport and home again without any kind of test going into the airport or onboard the plane or coming out of the airport in Denmark for my friend. Believe money from tourists is more important than anything else. Hospital here had 3 months ago one stock half full of Covid patients, now they have 2½ stock full (it is a big hospital); mostly not vaccinated or obese or other wise not healthy. To get a parking space I had to drive up to 5th stock, never happened before. I go there twice yearly because of skin cancer since 7 years, so I am used to going there. So, to answer your question: Airport: no problems at all.
  16. SARS-COV-2 We have been staying home for 2 weeks now as our little one probably got infected in school. Discovered it by accident as none of us have any symptoms and are in no way ill. Need negative test but cannot get appointment to be tested as they will not let us into the place where we can get the appointment. Will stay home a week more and try again. Sure, some countries are easier than other.
  17. Do not know. Think that Lexus was doing what they think was best when introducing a new brand. Safety has not been a problem with Lexus as far as I know. Exhaust pipes can burn for various reasons and should that happen a heat shield is not a bad thing to have. I would install a heat shield in our car if Lexus find it needed; but we are all different.
  18. Like the knowledge people have advised: It is there because it is needed. Lexus engineers do not make the cars more expensive than needed in production. Lexus want to keep customers alive so they can buy more, hopefully from Lexus.
  19. Blind belief of authorities is greatest enemy of truth
  20. With automatic folding mirrors you do not need to hold the lock button on the remote down at all. Just lock with remote and the car locks and the mirror fold. Also does that when touching the 2 recessed point or one of them on the handle if you have that in the car. Hand behind the handle unlock the car.
  21. Sure, some are not factual when being against the EV cars. But that does not make EV cars green or even a possible replacement for all cars, trucks and busses. It is a complete misunderstanding that this is possible, and really a shame that so many believe it.
  22. Absolutely. Making voters wake up is not easy and making them intelligent is very complicated to maybe not possible. That is one thing Churchill had right.
  23. So, why are we re-electing the same politicians that are doing nothing than lying and cheating and telling us to follow their way with the stupid advice they give us: Buy electric cars? Can we blame the lobbyists? NO! can we blame the politicians that want only to be re-elected? NO! We can blame nobody but ourselves.
  24. Mostly you need a tiny screwdriver to change battery in most Android smartphones and minimal technical ability. iPhones are made more difficult because Apple think that their fans will want the latest anyway and new models come long before batteries need to be changed.
  25. I doubt it. Car makers are competing about having longest possible range and how do you get longest possible range? By charging to only 80% of capacity?
