Which is why you will need a competent audio installation shop to get the full signal before it is reduced in the head unit so it does not to make midrange speakers sound blurry. Same reason as a sub amplifier needs to be able to pull sub cone back as fast as it is pushed forward to make the deep sound clear and sharp.

Here comes news about car sale in 2022 (and an ad for Toyota): Top Hydrogen Car Automaker Knows What Consumers Want Toyota is the top-selling global automaker for the third year in a row. Even in the face of supply chain challenges and weaker global demand, Toyota – the automaker in the lead in the hydrogen car market – has been named the world’s top-selling car company in 2022. Toyota managed to increase its lead over the second highest-selling automaker, Volkswagen AG. Clearly, Toyota knows a thing or two about what drivers are looking for in their passenger vehicles. At the same time, this company is also the leading automaker behind hydrogen car development and rollouts worldwide. This suggests that even though H2 has yet to become a category of any real size in passenger vehicles, there remains significant potential for its adoption and growth. According to Toyota, its group sales – including those of its Hino Motors Ltd and Daihatsu Motor Co subsidiaries – were essentially flat at about 10.5 million units in 2022. That said, Volkswagen saw its sales fall by 7 percent in 2022, reaching 8.3 million units. That represents the lowest delivery level VW has seen in 11 years. Here is the ad for Toyota The maker of the most popular hydrogen car has held its auto sales crown for three consecutive years. Toyota has not only been the top auto sales company in three years, but it has also continued to grow its lead over Volkswagen throughout that time. Still, even in its leadership position, this doesn’t make it immune to the concerns threatening all automakers worldwide: weakening global demand. The demand for new vehicles has been fizzling and the impact combined with rising inflation and a weakening overall economic environment is easy to see in places like Tesla’s falling share prices and the layoffs Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co recently announced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5R8Pj7BRPQ Still, Toyota has stated that despite all those factors, it is still not able to produce vehicles quickly enough to cut down on the delivery times. Customers worldwide are reporting wait times as long as months or even years for certain vehicle models. Moreover, these long wait times aren’t exclusive to models considered more of a niche at the moment such as the Mirai hydrogen car.

A good friend of mine who has been in car business all his working life bought a Chinese MG a plug-in hybrid some years ago. Has solar cells and charge home, use the car to drive shopping in nearest towns (live in the country) and told me it is a great car, have absolutely no need for gasoline as range of battery is more than enough for the 20 km he is driving. Wonder what will happen if gasoline in tank is never used and get very old? EV cars are great for such use. He has 2 other cars for longer tours and different transport, one camper for longer tours round in Europe and a big Toyota diesel monster for transporting horses.

Time is worth more than money. Do not believe any heating source is faster than a flame from gas. But takes up space that can be used to other things.

The CT we have has sub from factory, but adding a sub is not difficult if knowing what to do. Line out can be taken from head unit to feed amplifier for a subwoofer and there probably is enough room in the trunk for both. Remember a subwoofer needs some power and 12V supply wires shall not be thin and not be long. A capacitor (1F) is a good thing for amplifier for a sub. If sub shall not sound muddy speaker wires from amplifier to sub shall not be long and amplifier must be able to retract cone as fast as it push cone forward. Any competent audio installation shop will know what I have written mean.

Oh so happy news. Synthetic fuel is on its way.

Bio fuel is not new at all. Since a long (very long) time they have been talking about that in Denmark (and done very little). Report: Rotten manure, coffee grounds and straw can be converted into 20,000 Danish jobs Right now 2018, still not there), the world's largest biogas plant is being built in Esbjerg. (still not there 2023) There is plenty of organic waste from food, agriculture and industry in Denmark that can be made into biogas. And there is good reason to do so. According to Danish Industry, biogas made from chicken droppings, slurry, coffee grounds, straw and other organic residual or surplus material can be transformed into DK Kroner 16 billion (more than 1 billion £). In total, it can create 20,000 extra jobs in Denmark, writes DI (Danish Industry) based on a report from the consulting agency Damvad Analytics, which has reviewed the industry, Danish research and international developments in the field. READ ALSO: Director of Transport: - We must invest in biogas for buses and trucks – We have the prospect of an export adventure of great dimensions if we manage to maintain and expand our leading position in the area, says Michael Persson, head of the secretariat at DI Bioenergi. He points out that Denmark has a number of technology companies within biogas which have built up good experience at home and which therefore have a strong starting point in the export markets. Right now, according to DI, there are around 2,000 employees in the biogas industry in Denmark. France's gas consumption must be 100 percent biogas According to the report from Damvad Analytics, the amount of biogas in the gas networks in Denmark, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden and Germany is expected to increase from a level today of 11 TWh (terawatt-hour) to 17 TWh in 2020 (did so far not happen). The latter figure corresponds to around one million households' consumption of heat and hot water. France has an ambition that the country's gas consumption in 2050 must be 100 percent based on biogas (maybe they changed meaning since then). They are also an obvious export market because they also have a strong food sector that can supply the volume of biomass that is needed, says Kristian Mørk Puggaard, partner in Damvad Analytics, to DI (Danish Industry). Dung from one cow can be converted into: 25,000 km driving in a small car (VW Up on gas) 3,600 km driving in a truck (A Scania gas truck) Maybe correct, but I doubt it will ever happen. -

Beautiful BBS rims on the Audi. V-Power is mentioned as the best fuel I think I heard. I like it too. Even a bit cheaper here than 98 octanes from BP. One thing that is not mentioned is when will it be available and reasonably priced? So far not available and production process still being refined etc. so maybe it will be reasonably priced sooner or later. Sustainable, yes. But as far as I can find out, still polluting. Good for when oil is no longer available, but more or less the same? Still putting out CO2 from exhaust. Hydrogen is maybe a bit further with regard to price as the big companies making hydrogen claim that price for 1kg will come down to 1$ or less, but this fuel seems to have a big advantage as being compatible with engines without changing anything in fuel system or engine. Very promising. Long time effect on engine we will have to wait and see. Absolutely very interesting project. But when still pouring out CO2, governments may use that against it in their claim that the only solution is to build batteries and batteries and batteries as they will die before the electric motors do that. -
Research shows it costs more to run an EV on long journeys

In cities the good old-fashioned trams with electric wires hanging everywhere actually did function. In Copenhagen there were lots of these when I was young. They sold many of them more than 50 years, with rails and wires etc. to Egypt (Alexandria Passengers Transport Authority (APTA)) where some of them are still functioning; many of the trams were just burned. Value of these would today have been in many millions. Politicians are plain stupid all over the world. In cities electric wires could transport power to traffic, but outside cities that is not really the solution. Germany found that setting up wires for electric trains and maintaining them would not be possible or reasonable so many places that they are now having hydrogen powered trains running passenger and goods transport these places and so far, they are thinking making more hydrogen trains. I believe there are several places in UK, where setting up wires and maintaining these will be not just a little too expensive. -
A couple of years ago I found on internet I think on lexus.eu or something like that a place where I could register car and found an update for it. Downloaded and put it on USB stick. Tried to install, but never managed. On following service, I had the USB stick and asked if Lexus could install it and no problems. Except that when collecting the car from service they said that there are no updates for the car. Think that Lexus software differ a lot from Lexus hardware. One is close to perfect and one is not functioning. Forgot where I found the update and am not really interested in wasting time updating something that may be nothing as long as the car functions perfect, and it absolutely does. For new maps Lexus wants more than 150€ and the maps (SD-micro) can be bought on eBay for less than 40£. Anyway, navigation is like much other software in car far below quality of smartphones (and Garmin) and so stupid to use that there is no reason to update; tried it and the car wants first to know which country we are in, then city, before finally allowing to insert the street wanted and then showing the way asked for, so navigation from Lexus in the car we have is useless; also Bluetooth is a very old version that cannot transfer audio in lossless, actually in no better quality than MP3, even though it has a really fine Mark Levinson audio system. If it is better in new models I doubt, seeing the computer knowledge the personnel in Lexus here have.

Never seen temperature moving up and down by itself. Yesterday evening I for the first time tried the heating, not that it was cold, but for trying it. set it to 28 and soon after cabin was warm; turned it down again to 23 and it cooled down even faster than heating up. So finding heating in the car absolutely fine. Always have A/C on auto and never turn it off. Not really needed this time of year as temperature is between 20 and 24 here most of the day and 18 to 20 at night. So finding it is functioning correct.

USA: Nikola announces new hydrogen fuel and infrastructure brand HYLA The company has unveiled the new global brand for H2 energy and infrastructure. Nikola Corporation, a leading zero-emission energy supply, infrastructure and transportation solutions company, has unveiled its newest global brand, HYLA, to take in its energy products for the production, distribution and dispensing of hydrogen fuel for fueling its zero-emission trucks. The company announced the HYLA brand at its US headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. Nikola held a special event at its headquarters where it announced the hydrogen fuel energy brand. In attendance were over 300 fleet, supplier, government, energy and media representatives. The event placed the spotlight on Nikola’s truck and energy business progress. “Nikola is the only company that is successfully integrating a revolutionary new product, the hydrogen fuel cell truck, and the full hydrogen energy infrastructure supply chain under one roof,” said Michael Lohscheller, CEO and President of Nikola. “The unveiling of our Nikola Tre fuel cell truck and flexible mobile fueling trailer demonstrates a real and sustainable competitive advantage for our customers and are significant proof points that we are accomplishing what we set out to achieve.” The HYLA brand is specific to Nikola’s hydrogen fuel energy business for supporting its H2 vehicles. “Hydrogen energy is the catalyst for the HYLA brand and serves as a forward-looking solution for our customers to help them achieve their sustainability goals and dramatically reduce the overall carbon emissions in the transportation sector,” said Nikola Energy President Carey Mendes. The new Nikola Tre fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) has a considerable range as high as 500 miles. Moreover, the truck is also expected to have one of the largest ranges of all zero-carbon emission Class 8 tractor. The truck is appropriate for a spectrum of applications including drayage and intermodal, metro-regional truckload, and less than truckload, in addition to cases of specialized hauling use. Nikola is developing hydrogen fuel access of up to 300 metric tons per day (TPD) under the HYLA brand. The H2 supply is predicted to have the support of Nikola partner project development, such as those from Plug Power, AZ Production Hub, City of Buckeye, IN Wabash Valley Resources, Terre Haute, Alberta TC Energy, Crosssfield, PA KeyState, and Clinton County.

10 Hydrogen fuel cars worth your attention in 2023 Hydrogen fuel passenger cars aren’t mainstream yet, but here are some models for you to watch. https://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/hydrogen-fuel-cars-10/8557113/?awt_a=1jpsU&awt_l=IFzTR&awt_m=iG0jJYl3_e5DlsU USA: Clean hydrogen tech development to get $47 million government funding boost Projects funded under this opportunity will advance the DOE’s Hydrogen Shot goal. The Hydrogen Shot goal is to lower the cost of clean hydrogen to $1 per kilogram within ten years. The projects that receive funds under this latest Biden-Harris Administration clean hydrogen tech funding opportunity will decrease costs, enhance hydrogen infrastructure, and improve hydrogen fuel cell performance. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), recently announced up to $47 million in funding to speed up the research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) of affordable clean hydrogen tech. This clean hydrogen tech funding opportunity focuses on specific projects and applications. Clean hydrogen tech is expected to play a critical role in lowering emissions from hard to decarbonize sectors in the U.S. Among these sectors include heavy-duty transportation, and industrial and chemical processes. The up to $47 million in H2 funding will focus on affordable and durable fuel cell technologies as well as RD&D of key hydrogen delivery and hydrogen storage technologies. Fuel cell RD&D projects will concentrate on applications for heavy-duty trucks to lower CO2 emissions and eliminate tailpipe emissions that contribute to air pollution. “This funding will advance cutting-edge research and drive down technology costs to help unlock the full potential of clean hydrogen energy—providing another valuable resource to combat the climate crisis while creating economic opportunities in communities across the country,” said Granholm. This is the second time in recent months that the Biden-Harris Administration has announced funding through the DOE for clean hydrogen tech development. Back in December 2022, the Biden-Harris Administration announced $750 million in funding to accelerate clean hydrogen technologies to advance electrolysis technology, reduce the cost of clean H2 and fuel cells, and deliver long-term support for hydrogen hubs. This most recent funding opportunity is administered by DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel cell Technologies Office (HFTO). -
Canada: Largest green hydrogen plant in British Columbia to be built by HTEC The Canadian hydrogen supply company will construct the facility on the North Vancouver Coast. Based in Vancouver, HTEC recently announced plans to build British Columbia’s (B.C.’s) biggest green hydrogen plant to date, and construction of the production plant is directly linked to the company’s purchase of ERCO Worldwide’s 19-acre industrial waterfront property, which is located on the North Vancouver coast. This project marks a significant step in the rollout of hydrogen fuel infrastructure in B.C. The green hydrogen plant will capture, purify and process H2 that is byproduct of ERCO’s chemical process used at its adjacent sodium chlorate factory. The hydrogen will be made using an electrolysis process that produces 56 kilograms of hydrogen per ton of sodium chlorate generated. The plant will capture this energy source from the factory, which was previously wasted, and transform it into fuel to supply HTEC’s growing network of hydrogen fueling stations. According to HTEC’s vice president of clean fuels, Sabina Russel, the plant has the potential to support the deployment of approximately 30,000 fuel cell vehicles. “We’re using something that’s otherwise wasted to replace diesel and gasoline and help us move to the zero-emission vehicles,” Russel said, who also serves as chair of the Canadian Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association. The green hydrogen plant will serve as a model for similar facilities in the province. HTEC expects to build more green hydrogen facilities in B.C. over the next decade as demand increases for this clean fuel. Russel believes that H2 is going to “play a very important role” in helping Canada meet its net-zero goal.

Think that car is so beautiful and would not add anything to it if I should ever get one.

Hyundai or a Renault with both hydrogen and hybrid power, a Rasa if it come with room for more than only 2 people. Of course, it would be fun to get a ride in the Hyperion but that is probably not possible. Have you not bought the LS700 yet? Converting it will be possible sooner than we thought a year ago.

Jazz is one of my favourite kinds of music and Honda is one of the best brands in the auto industry, so going to Adam Opel is a step down the ladder. When I was a kid Opel or Olympia Rekord was one of the most solid cars that were in a price range that the medium wealthy could pay, but I am not sure if they have kept that reliability of the very simple car; it was the first car I tried to drive on a field when I was hardly big enough to reach the pedals and look out of the window at the same time.

Good quality music in CT with ML audio
Las Palmas replied to Las Palmas's topic in Lexus CT 200h Club
To make room for more music in my audio player (Neutron on Samsung Galaxy) I changed all the 24-bit lossless music to 16-bit lossless. A bit more than 5K tunes were taking up close to 450Gb space and it is now reduced to a bit more than 200Gb (still have full resolution of all on computer) so when I have time there is room for quite a lot more music on my phone. It has taken many years to get that much music but I think it is a blessing to listen to. Lots of memories from where I listened to it first and with who I enjoyed it with. Still enjoy listening to new unknown music. A lot of young musicians are extremely good, maybe because they are having better instruments and maybe because they can fine tune and remove errors on computers. -
Why can it not be true? They are in business to make money. If they do not think they can sell what they are offered, they are not interested in buying.

I am pretty sure the people constructing the cars are aware of that fact and make sure that the parts that need to be kept dry are just that.
