Germany and Italy blocks ICEV bans for 2035
Las Palmas replied to Linas.P's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
Some say impossible. Toyota has done it. Most cars that can run on natural gas can use hydrogen as fuel. That is not just a few. -
You are in a Lexus forum. Most here value the brand above other brands. You are Honda man. Honda make good cars. Have had 3. All good and no problems. Accord Coupé was the one I liked best. Lexus make special cars. If you have means to buy and if needed repair and really want one, go for it. It is better to regret having done something, than regret not having tried.

Just buy a Maybach and a V8 is for children. V12 is the right way. For normal people who just need to get from one place to another a V8 is just as not really needed. -

Massive 500 MW offshore green hydrogen project finds home in the Netherlands Mar By ERIN KILGORE https://www.hydrogenfuelnews.com/author/erin-2-2-2/ The Dutch government has chosen a site to build the world’s largest offshore wind-to-H2 project. The area that has been chosen is Ten noorden van de Waddeneilanden, which will become home to the largest offshore green hydrogen production and transport project powered by wind turbines. The area was already planned for renewable electricity production. Ten noorden van de Waddeneilanden (the North of the Wadden Islands) was previously identified as a suitable region for offshore wind development and the production of electricity was already planned. It is one of the areas that the government of the Netherlands identified in 2022 for new offshore wind farms that could bring as much as 13.4 GW of combined capacity across nine sites. Recently, the Dutch government announced that the area was ideal for large-scale offshore green hydrogen production, to provide 500 MW of electrolysis capacity and to transport hydrogen to land. The area’s suitability is not only due to its offshore wind farm, but an existing natural gas pipeline close to the site could be reused for green H2 transport to land, with the potential to properly connect to the onshore hydrogen network The Ten noorden van de Waddeneilanden wind farm is located 56 km (34.7 miles) off the coast of the Netherlands, to the north of Groningen. -

Convert all the EV cars to fuel cell when batteries no longer are good enough. No reason to make them landfill. Like what is not possible to reuse from the batteries. -

With all the money saved from not supporting EU (Boris said something like that) I suppose you have had all your roads repaired to mint condition. And got money enough to pay the working people so they do not have to stop working in order for others to see that the work they do is needed. -
That is only 10 years young. They are supposed to be good for at least 15. We keep our warranted as long as we keep the car. Never had a car 15 year.

Snow chains are only valuable in deep snow, close to no good on ice. Some of plastic will not damage the rims, but will last very short time if being used on any other surface than snow. Different places, different rules and different how drivers are able to drive in slippery conditions.

Do not know anything about warranty, as never had other problems than new tyres, wiper blade inserts so what is making Lexus a bit expensive is that service is not as cheap as Honda, Mercedes, Nissan, Smart or VW. All were serviced where they should according to manufacturer, just like the CT. The CT is reliable, absolutely. but so were the other cars we have had except for Supra 3.0 Targa 1985; yellow engine light on display whenever above 160km/h and Toyota could not find any fault. Replaced it with a Nissan 300ZX, lightyears better.

https://www.ebay.de/str/goodrain?_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2563 Highly recommended. I buy from that shop inserts for original wipers. Denso. Good. Here we have little rain, but lots of dust and that is hard on the rubber (plus use much liquid). Pretty sure you can get inserts for all Lexus cars and probably also complete wipers.

Remote start on NX 300h
Las Palmas replied to Kv_pat's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Does that mean that, while defrosting your car, anybody passing by can drive off with it? Without even controlling if having a drivers lisence? -

Do not believe remote start is permitted anywhere in Europe. -

Why anybody would put 4 exhaust-end-pipes on a hybrid is far above what I will ever be able to understand. Aerodynamic performance mods for a car built and meant for driving around in a city? -

Proving that most of us here in the forum are old and with most things from design of Lexus cars, we find them to be what they should be. I also think that the only things to change are those that improve quality of the cars, meaning that only navigation and entertainment system are worth doing something with. -
It never rains in southern California (Albert Hammon), and more or less the same here, so I am not really used to touching the stalk for other reasons than washing the windows with the fluid in the container and whenever touching, the washing starts immediately. Actually, all the contacts, buttons and stalks are functioning like in all other cars I have had.
-
Not sure the car is thinking. Artificial intelligence is a bit too high to expect from the contacts in the windshield wiper stalk in the car.

You will have to wait till 2025 as they are not available before. Suppose it will depend on the exhaust system, was in Sweden and had the 911 turbo (not mine - my boss) tuned with a new engine and stainless-steel exhaust; it came with a kind of steel foam that was to put in the exhaust when having to pass MOT; without it the sound was more or less like a Le Mans machine. But according to Hyundai they will be more than powerful enough.

Does your engine have to come from Toyota? Hyundai start to mass produce 2025! Real engine, with real noise, sorry: beautiful sound from a combustion engine. Hyundai Doosan Infracore is accelerating engine development. After the completion of its H2 internal combustion engines (ICE) design and rolling out the prototype, Hyundai Doosan Infracore (HDI) is revving up the development of its hydrogen engines, with the aim to mass produce these engines by 2025. The hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine can produce a power output of 300 kW (402 HP) and a torque of 1700 NM at 2000 RPM. Fulfilling Tier 5/Stage 5/Euro7 regulation, the engine satisfies the emission requirements to be 90% decreased to the current level to meet Zero CO2 (below 1g/kwh) and Zero Impact Emission.

Here taxi drivers take their taxis to Toyota/Lexus as they usually do not keep them longer than warranty is on them, and they want to sell them when they get money for them so they can buy new with warranty. They probably get good service as Toyota want them to be returning customers. Not like us that just want to keep the car while hybrid battery is warranted. But you are right. Lexus is not a friendly company when it comes to money.
